We had a great time! It was a small, stocked, rustic cottage for a nice affordable getaway. It reminded me of a cabin i went to as a kid with its quirks and a slight slant! The property was beautiful and quiet. We utilized the fire pit. We do wish the windows had curtains and the beds were more comfortable but overall was good for a few days away. Also know there’s no beach on big sand lake so the closest beach was at clear lake 20 min away.

Can’t wait to come back again. Everything was better than advertised. Clean, comfortable and talk about relaxing. The perfect family weekend for us. Beautiful mornings, fun filled afternoons and relaxing evenings around the fire pit.The fishing was amazing the family memories made were priceless.Nobody wanted to leave and everyone asked to come back again!

We loved our stay. We both commented that it was perfect for us to unplug and just have quiet, sister time. We drank wine, listened to an audiobook, and put together a 1,000 piece puzzle. It was definitely relaxing. We did each say that it would have been nice to have some sheer curtains on the windows though. At least in the bedrooms and the bathroom.

As a family, we love peaceful mornings by the lake, campfires under the stars, time in nature, and creating meaningful memories together. Hosting allows us to share this special little corner of the Northwoods with others who are looking for the same kind of quiet escape from the busyness of everyday life.

Our hope is that every guest leaves feeling refreshed, connected, and a little more at peace than when they arrived.

One of our favorite things about this property is the privacy and natural beauty surrounding it. With 40 wooded acres to explore, abundant wildlife, calm lake mornings, and stunning sunsets, it’s the kind of place that invites you to unplug and simply enjoy being present.

Burnett County also offers the perfect balance of outdoor recreation, small-town charm, and peaceful seclusion.
