Thank you for acknowledging the house’s ample space, beautiful canal location, great neighborhood, and enjoyable screened-in porch and family room. We’re glad you were able to appreciate those aspects of the property. We also appreciate you recognizing that we responded immediately to your concerns. Unfortunately, there was a serious misunderstanding with a contractor who had been entrusted with preparing the property, and we have since terminated our relationship with them and will not be allowing them to work at our home again. This is absolutely not the standard we hold our property to, and it does not reflect how our home is typically maintained. We have been a family-owned business for over 20 years, and we take tremendous pride in our properties and our guests’ experiences. This occurred over the holiday weekend, when our regular housekeeper was out of the state, making it more difficult to arrange immediate assistance. Nevertheless, the owner drove to the property, personally cleaned, and did everything possible to get the home ready as quickly as possible. We are incredibly sorry for the stress and inconvenience this caused, especially after your long drive and traveling with your dog. This is not a normal experience for our guests, and we have taken steps to ensure something like this does not happen again. Thank you for your feedback and for recognizing our efforts to resolve the situation.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the home, the quiet neighborhood, the easy check-in process, and that your dog was able to come along. We truly appreciate your feedback. The blinds have been replaced since they were damaged this season, and we are having maintenance tighten the beds. The garage entrance isn’t connected from the inside, but guests can access the home through the exterior door. We also wanted to mention that the washer and dryer are both fully functional. Our home has been in our family for over 20 years, and we’re grateful for the many guests who return year after year. Your feedback helps us continue improving and provide the best experience possible. We want to reassure future guests that the concerns you mentioned have since been addressed: the washing machine and dryer have been replaced, the patio door locks work (we just also put a stick), the beds have been addressed, and the decking has been repaired.
