Welcome to the REEL N REST in Hackberry Louisiana! Enjoy stunning views and fishing off the dock at our spacious home, With 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and a convenient half bath downstairs, it's ideal for families and friends seeking relaxation and outdoor fun. We sleep 14 in actual beds and the loft area is perfect for an air mattress for additional guests. If the fishing is what brings you to Hackberry we can recommend a guide. If you already have one, you can have them pick you up on our dock. If you are bringing your own boat we have plenty of parking for your trailer, and the public launch is nearby. Just want to fish off the dock no problem we have some poles you can use. We also have washer boards, Horse shoe games and a charcoal grill so you can enjoy the day by the water. Please be advised the listing includes use of the dock but not the boat lift. ( Owners boat is on the lift ) Book now and experience the charm of Louisiana firsthand!

Beautiful place, host is very accommodating, responds quickly, home is clean and top notch. Secluded and peaceful, the view is exceptional. Plenty of room for my family of 8. Intend to make an annual visit, we love this area, fishing, crabbing and seeing all the coastal wildlife.

Great family trip

We have stayed in several homes in Hackberry and this is by far one of the best ones! The property is even better than the pictures!! Communication was top notch! We canā€™t wait to come back!

July getaway

This property was beautiful and had absolutely everything we needed and wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will be back. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was so generous with his time and knowledge of fishing. He took the time to show our kids a few tips on how to bait a line and how to remove fish (and stingrays) from the line. The hospitality was top notch.

We had great stay. The host was very kind and accommodating, we were able to check in early which was a great start to the trip. He reached out to us during our stay to see if we needed anything. During our stay we lost power in the area, the host corresponded with me and kept me updated on the electricity outage. After we left, the host let us know we left iPods behind, he offered to mail them to us. Truly thoughtful and responsive. We appreciated his hospitality and communication throughout our stay.

We had a fantastic stay here! The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host went above and beyond, offering helpful tips and making sure we had everything we needed. Hackberry Heaven

This house is perfect in every way. Sparkling clean and decorated beautifully! Everything you could possibly need was provided. The location was great as well. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, watching the huge ships in the channel, bird watching at its best, and driving down to the beach! We canā€™t wait to go back!

Amazing place!

Everything about our stay was great! House had plenty of room, beds were so comfortable, and everything was really clean! Felt right at home! The view is amazing from the porch and dock. We were able to fish some off the dock. Had a relaxing getaway and cannot wait to do it again!

Tranquility as its finest.

The Reel and Rest Stay in Hackberry was one of the best my family and I had the privilege of sharing together. The home and property o beautiful and well kept. The photos do not do it justice. ā€œYou must see and experience it ā€œfor yourself to appreciate. The host was very engaging and stayed in contact to ensure we were enjoying our stay and that all of our needs were being met. The home had everything you could possibly need. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise and sitting on the dock at sunset was exactly what we were hoping to experience. We all had a blast fishing and crabbing from the dock. Thank you Shannon and family for sharing your place with us, it was most comfortable and enjoyable. We were a total of 8 adults and 5 children and had plenty of room. So tranquil that no one wanted to leave. We will definitely be back.

Real and rest Vrboā€¦ Fantastic stayWe just checked out of this fantastic Louisiana lakefront home. Our five day stay over Christmas 2024 was one for the books. First of all the home is spotless well designed from a structural and utility perspective. What a great place to spend time with family and friends on the lakefront. Everything that was listed about this property is absolutely true and presented in a spotless manner. During our stay, we were blessed with two fishing days with James Boudreau, a guide from the Hackberry area., arranged by our host. The guiding service for four of us created an opportunity for family members who have never gone fishing for redfish, trout, halibut, etc., etc. got a first class opportunity to learn about local culture and the great fishing experience available at Calcasieu Lake.. Everything they say about the rod and reel opportunities for Fishing is at your doorstep in this fabulous house. You can literally step off their your beautiful dock onto your guided fishing experience and be deposited back there at the end of the day. Fabulous. We caught and ate our fill of trout halibut and Red Fish. We intend to come back and do this all over again. Our host was very responsive and helped us get everything going for the holiday. What a great time. Highly recommend this property and the surrounding Hackberry/fishing community for a real Honest to God lakefront fishing experience. Well done. Tens and tens from my perspective.

Best house weā€™ve stayed at in Hackberry by far! We visit the are 3 time a year for quiet time with family fishing and crabbing. The house was extremely well stocked, downstairs grill area was perfect, and the boat house has plenty of room to tie off all the crab traps you could want! Host was super responsive to our few questions. Canā€™t say enough good things!!
