This 3000 sq foot home on the Rio Grande River is perfect for your large family or group. Sleeping up to 15 in beds. Space will never be an issue. Relax in the hot tub on the Rio Grande River with beautiful mountain views. Stroll out over the river on your private boardwalk. First bedroom has a king size bed, as well as, a twin bed with a flatscreen tv. Attached Master bathroom. Second bedroom has a King size bed and a flatscreen tv. Third bedroom has 2 queen/twin bunks and a flatscreen tv. A full bathroom is shared between bedroom 2 and 3. There is also a half bath. The upstairs loft offers 2 queen beds, pool table and sofa.Oversized 30' X 40' garage for winter and summer AtVs, Snowmobiles, Boats and of course your vehicles. No need to remove the two foot storm that dropped on your vehicle overnight.

The house was amazing right on the river. Big and spacious, if I ever go back to South Fork or Wolf Creek skiing I will definitely stay in this house again thank you.

Extremely disappointed in the way the property has not been maintained.The house was very dirty, ceiling fans had dust covering the blades, dead flies in the window sills, trash in a receptacle in the half bath. Cobwebs on the walls and vaulted ceiling.Dishwasher was not mounted and was falling out of the cabinets when you try to load or unload it.As advertised there was a hot tub, however only half of the jets work. Bathtub in the master bath also had jets that do not work.The description says fireplace which there is no fireplace, it has a gas stove which resembles a fireplace.Master bedroom mini blinds inoperable, we raised them to let sunlight in and they were stuck open and would not lower.As for the kitchen, electric can opener did not work properly, used the provided handheld can opener which disintegrated in my hands as I was using it.Had to go buy a can opener in order to open cans.Pots and pans for cooking were very outdated.Teflon was lifting from them, causing food to stick to the pans, which made it difficult for cooking and cleaning.Bought new pans to cook with.Barbecue grill was also not working either out of propane or just non-functional.Was instructed by property manager to go next door and get the propane bottle from another property they managed.Manager also stated they are aware of most of these problems but do not have the checkbook in order to fix them.With all of this in mind, we feel we should be compensated for the inconveniences.Thank you, sincerely

Had an awesome time here. Pictures do not do it justice. It has been updated since these were taken. Only complaint is that the hot tub was not working. We did catch fish including a nice 16 inch brown. Saw deer on the hill on the other side of the river. Overall great pace to stay.

Great location to Wolf Creek

Great location. Great neighborhood. Easy 20 minute drive to Wolf Creek Ski Resort. Easy 2 minute drive to ski rental shop. House was directly on the river. Very comfortable for our group. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Loved the property. Loved the host. The power went out for nearly a whole day. The host re-located us to another vacant property until the power came back on. She was super accommodating to help us even though the power was not their fault !

What you see is what you get

A amazing location on the river. Great space for hanging with family/friends. The place is not brand new or stocked with the latest the greatest but it’s a classic mountain retreat that is comfortable and convenient. Will return.

Beautiful Christmas

This is our second time staying at Elk House and we love it! The house is a perfect size and in the BEST location. We had a minor issue with the TV as soon as we arrived and Joyce I startle took care of us. She also checked on us regularly! Just some other minor issues that need to be fixed to make it over the top. We will definitely be back!

Family trip to South Fork

Although the showers have been updated, it was clear upon arrival that the house needs some attention and tender loving care! This was our third time to stay at the house and we were surprised and disappointed to see there were issues that had still not been resolved since our last visit in 2019. I’m not comfortable posting them all here but am sending a private message to the host. Despite our disappointment with the house, we enjoyed our time in beautiful South Fork.

Beauty of the Rio Grande and Mountains

We had a wonderful stay at the Elk River House!! It had such a beautiful view of the mountains and the Rio Hrande River was right out the back door. We enjoyed fishing in the river and the kiddos enjoyed the hot tub and making smores in the evening. It was so relaxing and the weather was so comfortable to sit out on the porch. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Elk River House!!

The home was pretty and conveniently located. It had plenty of room with comfortable beds. The hottub needs some attention, as not all of the jets work. But that didn't stop us from enjoying it.

Great House!

Elk River House is amazing! It is in a beautiful location right on the river. Very spacious and it worked out for all of us. The decor is spot on for the area and that staircase is a work of art! The kitchen and dinner room is spacious and fully equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub and watching the river flow by. JoyceAnn is a great host and communication was flawless. Noticed that we were out of propane for the BBQ the first night and they ran over to make sure we could BBQ our steaks. I highly recommend booking this house! You won't be disappointed.

This house was beautiful and spacious. My husband and I along with my son and my in laws a total of 15 people had plenty of room. The view of the river is amazing. If you meet our little chipmunk friend he likes sunflower seeds, peanuts, and trail mix. You can’t get a squirrel in Texas to trust you like that little chipmunk did. We recommend and would stay here again.

Great ski trip

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was a great family, and a few friends, trip. It was the second time we stayed at this cabin. It is very convenient to Wolf Creek and town.

This 3000 sq. foot home offers plenty of space for your family or group. From the Hot Tub to the awesome river views off the back deck this home has it all. Sleeps up to 15 people in beds.. Park your toys in the oversized four car garage. In the winter you will never have to worry about removing snow from your vehicle. Park in the garage and the driveway and roads will be plowed for your trip to the slopes by 8:00 AM. Experienced management team maintains property and are available 24/7 should any issues arise. Hot Tub is well maintained. Nothing to worry about except to sit back and enjoy your vacation!!!
