Beautiful Bass Lake in Pentwater

We have a dock where you may leave your boat. You may rent our pontoon boat. Bass Lake is a 525 acre all-sports lake with nice bass, pan fish, and pike. It is a great lake for kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming.

Lake Michigan is less than one mile away, and you will have privileges to the township park on Lake Michigan less than two miles from our home.

Pentwater is a popular tourist town less than 3 miles away with a State Park on Lake Michigan, and boat launches from Pentwater Lake that access Lake Michigan for great perch and salmon fishing. Charter fishing from Pentwater is also very popular. You will love it, here.

The house has a queen pullout in living area.

We had an amazing time. The house was great and clean, better in person than the pictures.

The house was great. Owner is a super nice guy. Pontoon rental was amazing. Close to downtown. Would definitely do this again.

Bass Lake Getaway

Our stay at this cabin on Bass Lake was lovely. The cottage was well kept, and stocked with everything we needed for our week long stay. Decor is a little dated, and the carpet needs a good cleaning, but we were delighted with the location and the pontoon boat rental was GREAT! Steps from the water, a nice pier, good fishing, close to town, but peaceful and quiet, without tourist congestion. Nice firepit lakeside and great porch with a nice table to dine/relax and admire the lake. Loved it. Thank you to Jerry and Judy!

Lovely lake getaway

We had a wonderful time on Bass lake. It’s very close to downtown Pentwater which is a really quaint little town. My boys and I enjoy fishing and being in the water. Jerry was kind enough to rent his pontoon very reasonably for the week. We caught some nice bass, pike and some small pan fish. We were also close to Ludington where we did some great charter fishing. The cabin was clean and stocked with all the necessities. I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing lake getaway. Thank you for your hospitality Jerry and Judy!

Long weekend

We had an amazing time at the cottage on the lake! Great communication with Jerry! So many things to do in the area. Fishing off the dock was great for my 4 year old son. We couldn’t keep the line in the water! Great swimming also, nice sandy bottom.

Definitely returning!

This house is in the perfect location! We had a beautiful view of Bass Lake and enjoyed the spacious patio. The house was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the amenities. Jerry was very welcoming and responded immediately to our needs. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent location!

The cottage is centrally located between Pentwater and Ludington, two of Michigan's greatest beach towns. And, the cottage itself is steps from beautiful, inland Bass Lake. My family will absolutely return.

Our 4 day stay on Bass lake

We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and the pontoon boat. We had nightly bonfires and used the grill to cook outside. Not far from Ludington and close to Pentwater. Next time we'll have to check out the local winery!

Another wonderful week!

2nd stay here and it was just as great if not better than the first. Interior upgrage looks great. Such a relaxing place to stay and so close to town and the state park beach. This could become a regular thing for us. Thanks Jerry!

Beautiful, clean cottage on lovely Pentwater Lake.

Our family had a wonderful week and we can not thank Jerry and Judy enough for their lovely hospitality. The home was well stocked with all the kitchen amenities you could ask for and the cottage was spotless. When we arrived there was wood ready for us in the fire pit, ready to be lit, on the patio overlooking beautiful Pentwater Lake. The location of the cottage was excellent, as we enjoyed visiting both towns of Pentwater and Ludington and their respective state parks. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Thank you again Jerry & Judy for a wonderful week!

Great place to stay!

My husband and I loved this place! The description is accurate, and the owners are very helpful. I had several questions via email before our stay which where promptly answered. The property was clean and well maintained. The pontoon boat was a lot nicer than we expected. The bathroom is huge. It was a little chilly when we went, and there were space heaters in both bedrooms in addition to the main heating, so we were nice and warm at night. There was also a heating blanket in the main bedroom as well as lots of extra blankets. As far as the property itself, you couldn't ask for a better view. It was great to wake up in the morning and see the lake. My husband (the fisherman) absolutely loves Bass Lake. Due to the time of year (after Labor Day) we mostly had the lake to ourselves all week. I highly recommend this property, and we plan on going back sometime!
