Amidst the stunning Mojave landscape is the large house, boasting an expansive 3,000+ square feet of living space with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and the casita (1100 SF), offering 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. This property sleeps 17 guests comfortably and provides a wealth of amenities.

The Space:
AMENITIES:

In-Ground Pool: Cool off in the sparkling in-ground pool, complete with a convenient bathroom area for your comfort.

Pickleball Court: Challenge friends and family to a game on the pickleball court.

Full-Court Basketball Court: Shoot some hoops or engage in a friendly match on the full-court basketball court.

Cold Plunge: Wake up your body with this exciting new addition to the property.

Sauna: Experience the soothing benefits of a sauna session.

Hot Tub: Soak under the desert sun or the starry night sky in the private hot tub or view the outdoor movie playing from the hot tub.

Outdoor Movie Theater: Watch your favorite films or host a cinematic desert soirée under the open sky seated comfortably in bean bag chairs.

Custom Fire Pit and Fireplace: Gather around the fire pit or fireplace for cozy evenings, storytelling or snacking on good food.

Hanging Hammocks: Find your zen in the hammocks, swaying gently amidst the desert breeze or looking up into the clear sky full of stars.

Pergola with Hanging Chairs: Relax in style beneath the pergola, where hanging chairs invite you to unwind.

Indoor Shuffleboard and Pool: Engage in some friendly competition with our indoor games.

Dedicated Workspace: For those who work remotely, there is a dedicated desk in the Master bedroom and the Casita to get your work done privately.

MAIN HOUSE:

Bedrooms: Five spacious bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping arrangements making this an ideal choice for large families or groups of friends.

Bathrooms: Three well-appointed bathrooms ensure convenience and privacy for all guests.

Living Spaces: Moonstone Bungalow features open living areas, including a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a comfortable lounge area in the sun room with unique award-winning design and a game room living room with 8-ball pool, shuffleboard and a massive couch/hang out spot. We have large windows with stunning desert views of the mountains, connecting you with the natural beauty outside.

CASITA HOUSE:

Bedrooms: Casita features two charming bedrooms and a well-appointed bathroom, a more intimate and private, cozy retreat.

POOL AREA:

There is an additional bathroom with a shower in the pool area for your convenience

Guest Access:
You'll have full access to both houses and the 2.3-acre lot during your stay. You will receive your own personalized door lock code prior to your arrival.

The Neighborhood:
The Moonstone Bungalow is ideally situated about a 13-minute drive to the park entrance, and a 5-minute drive to downtown Joshua Tree with shops, restaurants, the golf course, and many other fun activities. We'll be happy to make recommendations on our favorite spots.

Getting Around:
Morongo Basin is very spread out and you'll certainly want to have a car(s) for your group to get around. Uber / Lyft is available but can be limited at times.

Other Things to Note:
IMPORTANT NOTE:

We do have outdoor cameras for the security and safety of our guests and the property.

PETS:

We love pets. Your fur-family are welcome with an additional fee of $100/ pet per stay (max 2 pets allowed). While we love all animals, cats and other animals are not allowed at this time. You are required to disclose before booking. However, they are not allowed to swim in the pool or hot tub.
Please be mindful, as their fur can cause the filters to clog. Please be aware of desert plants and animals. Keep your pets away from them as we want them to be safe. We strongly suggest you use a leash and accompany your pets while enjoying the space because of the cactus and wildlife. You are 100% responsible for yourself and your pets.

POOL:

Pool is available to be enjoyed year round from 7am - 10pm. Pool can be heated for $350 for first day and 250/day after and must be heated for the entire duration of your stay. Let us know 48 hours in advance to allow time for the pool to be heated.

Please be aware that during the winter season, pool heating takes longer to reach optimal temperatures. In Joshua Tree's cooler weather, the pool may not exceed 70°F. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your stay!

VISITORS:

We ask that the reservation holder let us know in advance if they plan on having any visitors during their stay. You may not have additional guests unless previously authorized by the host.

BROKEN ITEMS:

We understand that accidents happen, if anything breaks down (even if it's your fault), please let us know so we can send someone to fix it or replace it for you and future guests. We are really counting on you to take great care of the home.

KITCHEN RULES:

Please only use soap and water to clean our custom concrete big kitchen island. No red wine on the concrete island as it will stain. In the past, someone spilled coffee. This is very expensive to redo.

FILMING & PHOTO SHOOTS:

If you or your company are interested in utilizing the space for film, television, music video or photo/film shoots of any kind, please contact us via the message portion of the site to discuss details, approvals, pricing, etc.

BASKETBALL COURT RULES:

Please do not dunk or hang on the rims of the basketball court. We wish they were as durable as the official NBA hoops, but they're not quite ;) You will be held liable for any damage. Please be respectful of the property as we want as many future guests to enjoy this amenity.

PLUMBING:
Like ours, most houses in Joshua Tree are on a Septic Tank system. For this reason, nothing can be flushed down the toilet except toilet paper. Following these guidelines will avoid problems with the plumbing. If it is determined that the pipes have been clogged due to misuse, a $500 repair fee will be charged. Thank you for your cooperation.

NO SMOKING:
Smoking (including E-Cig) is NOT allowed in the property or within 15 feet of the exterior door. Please dispose of cigarettes into a plastic bag and put them in the outdoor trash can. If the above is not maintained, we will charge a $100 special cleaning fee. Please smoke outside and dispose of your cigarettes in the trash. We appreciate your cooperation.

LIABILITY RELEASE:
Guest agrees to hold the Host harmless against any and all loss, claims, causes of action, demands, and/or costs and expenses that may be incurred by the guests in relation to the home rental. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. Subletting our property is strictly prohibited.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:
We highly recommend our guests purchase travel insurance through the booking platform to protect them against any issues that would cause a guest to have to cancel their trip. Many credit cards might also offer suitable travel insurance. Thanks in advance for acknowledging the cancellation policy will be adhered to.

MANDATORY RULE:
Have fun and enjoy! The sun is shining (most days) and so many fun things to do outdoors and indoors. There's no reason you shouldn't be having fun :)

◦ THINGS TO NOTE:
Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: No dirt roads
Fenced yard: Fully fenced
Outdoor Surveillance: There's an outdoor camera for guest's safety
Cell phone coverage: Yes cellphone coverage

◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.

◦ Authorized early check-in and late check-out are available at $50 per hour

◦ Additionally, any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee

◦ Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address

◦ RULES:
Noise ordinance:
Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.

◦ SMOKING POLICY
No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees

◦ Restricted Areas:
Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.

◦ Hot Tub/Pool:
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.


◦ Photoshoots & Video:
No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.
