Our apologies that the crew hadn't cleaned up their work materials before your stay and for the screen door issues. In the future, please communicate the issues early so we can try and resolve during your stay. We certainly were surprised by the review and would have done our best to fix the issue asap.

We are now 4x4 beach people. Take a family vacation every year, but this was the first time we did 4x4. Incredible house, incredible views, and a great host.

The property was beautiful and was so close to the beach. It was well stocked and when we had any needs, Rob responded immediately. I highly recommend!

The property was amazing. Secluded by right on the beach. The space is well thought out and the small items in the kitchen made the place feel like home. Host is responsive and no real issues with the property but you definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach it.

We had a great stay! The house was comfortable, spacious and offered amazing views of the beach. We had nightly wild horse visitors which added to the charm. Communication with the host was always prompt if we needed anything. Thanks for a memorable stay!

We had an amazing vacation with the whole family including 4 generations. I was initially thinking of booking one of the wild horse tours but glad I didn't since the horses come up right to the house. It was great to wake up with the sunrise over the ocean's horizon and walking outside to the beach. Don't make our mistake, make sure you have great all-weather tires and decent ground clearance on your vehicle or you will get stuck driving to the house. Also Google maps directions will get you lost, use Apple maps.

That’s awesome! I’m glad you and the whole family had such a great vacation, especially with four generations all together. Sounds like the wild horses coming right up to the house saved you a tour! And I bet those sunrise views over the ocean were incredible. Thanks for sharing the tips about the roads and directions too. Definitely good advice for future guests! We had an amazing stay at the ShoreHouse! The house and property were beautiful and was equipped with everything you could possibly need and then some. The bed and all furnishings were extremely comfortable and made us feel at home.Rob was an excellent host, and his communication could not have been better. Check in was a breeze. We simply entered the key code to get into the house. The weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy all the amenities the ShoreHouse provided. The plus of this entire stay was that we were able to bring our dog along with us. She loved the stay as much as we did. Our four- day stay went by too fast and we did not want to leave. We will definitely stay at the ShoreHouse again next year, but we will stay longer. Thank you again Rob for your wonderful correspondence and a fabulous time!

Fantastic location for easy access to the beach. Worked really well for little kids- a minute walk to the waves at most. House was set up well - bedrooms and bathrooms made it easy for grandparents and 2 other families with young children. Wide open living room/ kitchen made it easy to gather. Pantry was full of spices, olive oil, vinegar, and paper products- saran, foil, ziplock bags, etc. Pool and hot tub were nice, but used very little by us be because the ocean water was perfect. 4x4 area was awesome because we could drive our trucks on the beach with chairs, umbrellas etc., and didn’t have to carry everything back and forth.

Amazing!!!

Rob and The Shore House were amazing! We arrived at our original rental and needed to move and found The Shore House after hours and Rob was amazing at his communication and getting us into the property last minute. when we drove down the 4x4 Beach to the property the family was so happy and the excitement of driving over the sand dunes was an added bonus. Then when we arrived everyone was even happier. The house was clean and cared for and the location was perfect. My family and I said that being in the 4x4 area of Corolla was being in a different world vs. the rest of the OBX. And Rob was outstanding in his communication! Thank You for everything!!!
