PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS
*This is a casual and comfortable 3 bedroom/2 full bath home with an appealing mix of rustic and modern that sleeps 6 - directly on Lake Michigan.

*A Shoreline Retreat offers stunning, open lake views via expansive windows, and the perfect location 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay and one mile north of downtown Jacksonport.

*Enjoy spectacular sunrises, swimming in Lake Michigan, s'mores around the firepit, a walkable beach both north and south, and a spacious yard for sunning and relaxing.

*Enjoy swimming, kayaks, paddle boards (available to rent right in Jacksonport) and more - easy access to beach via a safe and convenient 5-step stone stairway (shown in pictures) down to the generous sand beach shoreline.

BEDROOM # 1
*The spacious master bedroom offers a brand new king size bed with a gorgeous "lake-view" and a private attached bath with tub and shower.

*The master suite also has a lake facing desk/chair/workstation for those who may need to stay connected to business. We provide business class WiFi.

BEDROOM #2

The 2nd bedroom has two full size new beds, and its own Smart TV.

BEDROOM #3

The 3rd bedroom has a trundle bed with 2 twins.

BATHROOMS

There is a full guest bath in addition to the master bath and both bathrooms have tubs and a shower. Bed linens and bath towels are provided.

LIVING/DINING

The living/dining area features a large sectional couch for seating and a gorgeous stone wood burning fireplace as well as a 50" Smart TV for streaming or watching cable as well as a DVD player. The "lake-view" dining area seats 6 around a 60" table also great for games and puzzles (we offer a selection of favorites).

TECHNOLOGY

Our home has all of the technology you may need including two Smart TVs, unlimited phone service via land line, cable HDTV, DVD player, and secure business class WiFi.

KITCHEN

*Recently remodeled, this kitchen offers absolutely everything for preparing, cooking and serving meals and a lake facing breakfast/coffee bar.

OUTDOORS

The flagstone patio at the south entrance offers a Weber gas grill for barbecuing and outdoor dining space.

On the lakefront, enjoy time around the firepit with plenty of firewood provided.

*Just a mile south in downtown Jacksonport you will enjoy Bleys Grocery Store, 'Lil Bit of Coffee, Island Fever, Mikes Port Pub, and Town Hall Bakery. Peninsula Kayak offers paddle boards and kayaks for rent by the hour or the day and will deliver to the house.

*Downtown Baileys Harbor is just 6 miles north of this home, Egg Harbor 7 miles west and Sturgeon Bay 14 miles south.

Amazing getaway

This property was an absolute dream! Can't beat the location and the stunning view and a great stretch of beach for walks. It was super clean and cozy, and the beds were wonderful to sleep in. We appreciated having all the comforts of home available and we'll definitely be back.

What a relaxing view - and direct beach access!

We really enjoyed our fall stay here. You just walk right out to the beach. We were able to walk for 5+ miles RT along the beach which is just beautiful. The house was cozy with an up north vibe together with a nice new kitchen. We would totally like to stay there again!

Welcome Respite

We four friends found a welcome respite in Kris' beach house. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The well stocked kitchen and bathrooms left us impressed. We enjoyed walking on the beach, listening to the waves crashing, and just relaxing during our extended weekend getaway. We loved the easy access to all points in Door County and would not hesitate to come back again.

Lovely Beachside Property

This beautiful home set on the shores of Lake Michigan was roomy, comfortable and well-appointed. The picture window overlooking the water was magnificent. Well-equipped kitchen, roomy and comfortable home. Prices of accommodations have increased everywhere, and I feel that the value was just marginal - but otherwise we would give a full recommendation to this lovely home.

Commercial insurance, propane heat- this home is priced a bit under market for properties on Lake Michigan on miles of sand beach. Thank You!

Kris Zelle property

This is a great house with plenty of space and a spectacular view of the lake. We were 4 adults and there for a week and commented on the house every day. it's in a great location for visiting the remainder of Door County and is close to a grocery and liquor store. The house has a great wood burning fireplace with wood furnished and a fire pit on the lakeshore. Everything was there for a great stay.

Great Getaway

Spent a week here and we had a great time. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Literally steps to the water we enjoyed sitting out looking at beautiful Lake Michigan with our morning coffee or evening cocktail. The house is well appointed and cozy. It has a beautiful wood burning fireplace that we used frequently. The kitchen is very well stocked, and honestly it was the best we’ve ever seen in houses we have rented. We liked everything about this house and hope to be back soon

Lakeside Cabin Doesn't Disappoint

We had a wonderful week at this Door County property. It's not an exaggeration when I say that it was the cleanest rental property we've stayed at and the furniture and decor were modern and appealing! You won't feel like you're staying in your great aunt's dated cabin. Additionally, Kris was awesome- helpful, friendly, and a prompt communicator. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Kris!

Beautiful Home on Lake Michigan

The location of the home was quick and easy to find. The house was clean and tidy. It is an older home so expect some areas that need to be updated. We didn't have any issues finding anything we needed. The backyard was beautiful, unfortunately, the lake was high so the beach area was covered in water. Would've loved to stick my toes in the lake. The fire pit was a bonus and we used it every evening, there is great privacy even though the houses are close together. I would definitely use this property again. Thanks for opening your home to us.

Breakfast on Lake Michigan

My husband and I spent a week here the last week in July which was pretty hot and humid. The house was cool and comfortable as the owner had just installed a brand new air conditioner. The location is great—maybe a mile from Jacksonport—and right on the shore of Lake Michigan so, of course, we ate breakfast outside each morning under the shade of some beautiful cedar trees. Kitchen is well equipped with a big freezer/refrigerator and plenty of counter space. Lovely dining area with big windows overlooking the lake. We especially enjoyed the wonderful collection of books in one of the rooms. We would definitely recommend this place to one and all and we’d definitely go back there again. We love Door County. We’ve been going there each summer for over 50 years and it’s a wonderful gathering place to bring the family together.

A Hidden Gem

Property was as advertised delivering a cozy and relaxing environment. All desired amenities were provided leaving one only to enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan view and Wisconsin weather. The host covered any possible needs, leaving one feeling amazed. An evening fire outside brought the day to a perfect completion, relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the waves lap the shoreline. The local communities provided for a multitude of activities and Green Bay being only an hour away increases the potential for adventure. Sturgeon Bay’s maritime history is extremely interesting and enlightening. Amazing how this communities has played a vital role in the shipping industry throughout the years. Including ship manufacturing during war time. All things aside, our visit provide great family time, allowing one to disconnect and enjoy our time together.

Beautiful House - Top Notch!

Our family stayed here for a week in July. The house is lovely and the furnishings are wonderful and very comfortable. The whole family could sit in the living room or around the dining table and play games. The large couch is very comfortable. The towels and bed linens were really nice and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious, the appliances work great and there are plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, etc. (could use more forks though). The refrigerator is huge! We swam in the lake just off the backyard, or is the lake side called the front yard?? (a little dicey to get in the water because of the rocks and high lake level...no beach yet) and walked out a ways on the sand bar. The backyard is roomy enough for croquet and bag toss. The outdoor furniture and smokeless fire pit are all first class. Wonderful to sit outside and look at the lake, wonderful wave noise in the house. The house is conveniently located between Bailey's Harbor and Jacksonport on Hwy. 57. The only downside of the house location is that it is on Hwy. 57. There is traffic noise in the road side bedrooms and it is a bit dicey to get in and out of the driveway, especially if you have more than one car to park. In the master bedroom on the lake side it is very quiet and I was lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves. Kris, the owner, was so nice, and responsive to all my questions. When I told her I only found a couple of board games she called a service and had them deliver Clue, Scrabble, Uno and Monopoly the same day! There are many, many books available and also a bunch of DVDs. The WiFi worked great. There are multiple TVs but we only used the one in the living room, which worked great; we were able to log in to our streaming services and watch movies on the comfy couch. My family really enjoyed our stay.

relaxing week in door County

Charming midcentury family home right on Lake Michigan! The house was very clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for 4 adults to enjoy a laid back week in Door County. The kitchen was recently refinished, all dish ware and cookware was brand new, making it a joy to cook meals at home when we didn't feel like going out. Host was easy to work with. Would definitely rent this property again!

Fun Fall Fest Weekend

Home is very clean and comfortable and kitchen has great pots/pans, coffeemaker, and appliances. Showers deliver plenty of hot water with good water pressure. A little tricky to get into drive with a very large vehicle but convenient to be on Hwy 57. Traffic on that road plus rocky shoreline may make it questionable if one has small children but not too noisy for our party of 2 married couples. Firepit area is comfortable and a great spot to enjoy the fabulous views, which are equally beautiful through all the glass windows at back of the house. TV and internet work well. Nice to have firewood provided. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home right on the water just steps from the door with amazing views of the water

This beautiful home is steps from the water and from the many windows in the home you can enjoy the amazing water views. The home has gorgeous features that are cozy and the kitchen has everything you need. Everything is on one level so it's perfect for someone challenged with upper level bedrooms.

A wonderful lake side property

A wonderful location along Lake Michigan. The house was clean, had everything we needed and was ideal for our family. The view of the lake can be enjoyed outside or inside through the large windows lining the lake side of the house. We loved it!

Close to Everything!

We loved that this property was all on one level with Lake Michigan in your backyard! Hands down the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! Close trip to all that Door County has to offer, but quiet and relaxing! Also SUPER close to the Door County Triathlon…so this rental made race day a breeze!
