Lake front living with eagles nest, pond, creek and on cove of Canyon Lake

This home is nestled on three scenic acres, cove front, with a pond and spring fed creek. Relax in nature and enjoy everything Canyon Lake has to offer. Be sure to check out the eagles nest located next to the pond, which is fed by the spring fed creek.

Every year from September/October we have a mating pair of eagles return to the nest and lay eggs. Once their baby(ies) are flying, they leave for back north in the April/May time frame. It is magical to witness!

***Please note with the record drought and Canyon Lake at record lows, the cove is currently dry***

The cabin is approximately 1450 sq.ft. with two bedrooms and a loft. The primary has a king bed with attached full bath. The second bedroom features a queen sized bed and desk. This bedrooms also has a door to the guest bath. The loft upstairs has 6 twin sized beds. Wood floors and high ceilings give warmth and an airy feeling to the home. Enjoy prepping your meals in the fully equipped kitchen. A full sized washer and dryer is provided for your convenience. This rental includes everything you'll need for your stay- bring your groceries, swim towels and water shoes. Sleeps up to 10.

The cove on the property leads to main lake. It is only a few miles to Potters Creek Park, public boat ramps & fishing pier, Fishermans Corner, river tubing. About 5 miles to Whitewater Amphitheater, 20 minutes to New Braunfels and Schlitterbaun. 45 minutes to San Antonio, an hour or so to Austin, 20 minutes to Wimberley. Bring your kayaks and water toys! Great for fishing tournament crew. Nearby boat ramps and room to park.

Vacation retreat, family reunion, waterfront, lake view, swim, fish, boating, eagles, birding. Pets welcome. Winter Texans welcome.

Nice comfortable place to get away

Great communication from owners. Nice small home. The loft is super well utilized. Great views and deer all around. Decks and grillling very good. Comfortable furniture. There wasn’t a fully stocked kitchen for larger group cooking but we made it work. Some food found under beds. And a couple of stray socks and dust around. Possibly just that the maids aren’t great. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Hill Country Beauty

We had a wonderful time at this home. We were centrally located to visit Wimberly, New Braunsfels, and Fredericksburg. Our family enjoys the outdoors with hiking, bird watching and just the peacefulness of the outdoors and this property offered those and more. The hosts were very responsive to any needs and were even gracious enough to adjust our arrival/departure time after a family emergency. The only “negative” would be that the lake was so low, we had a very long walk to the water but Texas has been extra dry this summer. We travel to Canyon Lake yearly and will definitely stay at this location again! Thank you for a memorable time!

Canyon lake getaway

Great location with a great view. Hosts were fantastic, nice and responsive. Brand new appliances. Large property that borders a lake inlet. Check lake levels to set expectations. When low the water is a short walk away from the property and not boat accessible with low lake level. Loft is perfect for multiple people and the two bedrooms were nice and clean. Thumbs up from the crew thanks for sharing your getaway home!

Just the Break I Needed

This property is well situated, close enough to boat ramps to and pretty easy to get too. Not a hugely steep driveway, easy access, super responsive and friendly hosts. Property is beautiful with a lot to explore!

We had a great time.

We had an amazing time, it was a little bit of a walk to the lake itself but we did catch a lot of fish. The kids had fun swimming. The house was very nice and the view from the porch was breathtaking in the morning and evenings. I have a feeling we will be back for sure.

Wildlife bonanza

Lovely secluded property near a finger of Canyon Lake. Large open vistas abound full of deer and a bald eagle nest in a tree below the house. The house itself was comfortable and clean. The porch was so nice in the mornings for coffee and the fire pit was fun to sit around and drink a cocktail in the evening. Kitchen was fairly well stocked, only missed a skillet large enough for cooking bacon so I used a cookie sheet and did it in the oven! We will definitely rent this house again.

Favorite Canyon Lake Rental!

My family stays at Canyon Lake at least twice a year and this if our #1 favorite home. It was in a great location and the neighbors are great people. I hope it's available for our next visit.

Dreamy Holiday Staycation

We rented this property Christmas through the New Year to have our extended family spend the holidays with us, followed by a new years event with friends and family. The owners are quick to respond and made sure we had all of the necessities we needed. They allowed an earlier checkin, as well as a later checkout when needed. We will be renting this in the future. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at this property for the Thanksgiving holiday, as we have relatives nearby. The wrap-around porch was awesome to enjoy the views. The kitchen was well stocked. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our short stay. The home is in a beautiful location, but we were disappointed the lake level was so low. We were prepared to fish from the back yard but needed to walk a considerable distance to the lake. We were not prepared to do so. If we had been better informed we would have made arrangements. We would definitely stay at this property again! The host was very kind and helpful and the neighbors were very friendly. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your property, we look forward to returning.

Great Property

We had a great time and were very comfortable at the property. It was nestled back in the woods and had lots of space down the hill for entertainment. Lake access was good too with a floating dock nearby we tied our boat up to. The boat ramp was a short drive away.

Great location. House slept our party of 8 comfortably. Everything is provided for a family vacation. Kitchen has pots/pans, cutting boards. Grill outside. Grocery store less than 10 minutes away. Boat ramp 5 minutes away. Water access is great. Water is shallow, but deep enough to beach a bass boat. Just outside the cove is an island to spend the day at swimming. Bonus is watching the deer in the yard every morning and evening. Friendly neighbors! Absolutely awesome place! Be aware, it is somewhat difficult to maneuver a large boat in and out of property.

Quiet getaway. Comfortable house and surroundings

We all enjoyed our stay! The house was great! The kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and hang out eating, playing games and watching movies. Close to New Braunfels and Schlitterbahn—loved it!

Great place for the family!

We had a great trip here! Being so close to the water was awesome. Perfect place for paddle boarding and kayaking (we brought our own). House was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. Having all the beds upstairs was a big plus for our big group. We had a few minor issues while we were there and the owners were very responsive and took care of things quickly. We would definitely stay there again.

Andrew & Courtney are natives of the Houston area and both loved to visit Canyon Lake during trips to the Hill Country as kids. They wanted to share their childhood memories of water skiing, boating and swimming in the lake, hiking and visiting surrounding attractions with their children and with others. This property has fantastic views of the lake and sunsets and is close to the attractions.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The cabin is minutes from civilization but you feel like you are in your own world surrounded by nature and a cove. A nest of bald eagles is easily seen by the fishing pond.
