We had a great stay. Only complaint is that we were unable to locate trash bags so we ended up needing to purchase them from Dollar General.

Best house at Duchess Creek

Overall it has everything to make our family vacation the Best!!! The boat dock, ice machine, location, everyone has a bed, number of showers and bathrooms, patio, big table to seat everyone to eat together, absolutely perfect for large group.

Best Vacation Ever

We had 17 people and everyone had a bed! It was clean, well stocked, beautiful house and the boat dock was a huge plus. Our kids played in the back yard and the ice machine was awesome! We will definitely make this a yearly get together. Our kids and grandkids loved it.

We had such a great trip. We had trouble setting the thermostat upstairs, but the owners were very responsive and got it worked out immediately. I cant say there was a negative thing about this trip. Such a beautiful house and the deck and view were awesome!. I WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER!

family weekend

This house accomodated our group of 15 perfectly, hopefully when the littles are bigger we can come back and they'll really enjoy the bunk room/play room. Wonderful dock and lake access, plenty of space for us all to be together in the living space and the patio, all the cooking/kitchen supplies you could possibly need. A high chair on hand would have been perfect but otherwise we absolutely loved it and easy proximity to evergreen marina for a boat rental!

Wonderful family vacation house close to the lake!

We loved the large kitchen/dining room/living room for the whole family to be together. The kids loved the large bunkroom. Wish we didn't have to walk through another bedroom to get to the bunkroom. We were thankful for all the bathrooms! Having an ice machine on the property was great! It is a short little walk to the lake. It was great to have a boat dock! It would have been easier if it had a ladder to get out of the water. The kids loved swimming and fishing from the dock. The kids enjoyed the sand beach. The cliffs were a short boat ride away and the kids and adults enjoyed jumping from them. This is a property we would definitely come back to stay.

Great accommodations!

We were very pleased with this property. I especially liked the set up in the Master Bedroom. We had our own balcony, mini refrig, microwave, sitting area and coffee pot. This was perfect for my husband and I because we are such early risers. We stayed in our room until the rest of the house was up and moving around. We had twin girls(13 mo.) that we slept in the game room in their pack and plays. This was really more room than we needed but it worked out perfect. There were 7 of us including the twins. Only thing we would have liked is a place to clean fish. We wish there would have been an area on the dock to clean fish, since there really wasn't a place we had to catch and release. We would defiantly book this property again.

Amazing spot to relax

This property is an amazing house! We took our large family there to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. With nine kids itā€™s not easy to find a comfortable place that holds all of us. We had plenty of room it holds 14 big size people(my sons are all over size feet tall, and my daughters are nearly there) these are nice sized, comfortable beds. The showers never ran out of hot water, which amazed me! The proximity to the lake was great we were able to launch our kayaks. My sons favorite part of our stay was fishing off of the boat slip in the morning. After staying all day in the sun, we were able to cook homemade meals in a well-stocked kitchen and watch a family movie. There were several televisions so after watching a movie we split up for bed and relaxed with our personal favorites. There is a supply of books and I got sucked into one. Best vacay evah! My greatest thanks to Emi for allowing us to host my husbands siblings for the day. He was so surprised when they showed up to grill with us we even baked cupcakes! Everyone wants to go back.

Bachelorette Weekend

We had a great time with friends celebrating at the house. Having dock access made it great to get to the water. The outdoor deck has a nice view of the water and we really enjoyed the patio and grill. A bit of a drive from the town of Eufala, but all in all a great stay.

Christmas in July

For the last several years my husband and I treated our family to a cabin trip for their Christmas present. This year was a great experience and kiddos said the best of all. Plenty of room-close to water-great communication with provider. It was ALL GREAT!!

Second Time to Sandcastle!

Love this place! Weā€™ve been doing summer boat vacations for 18 years now, and this house is AWESOME. Big house, lots of bedrooms for adults, huge bunk room for kids, boat dock & great views of Bixby Cove. Great for boats - the dock is in good shape, covered, and a short walk from the house. The ice machine in the garage is priceless. We filled up multiple large coolers everyday & never got close to running out. Huge dining table with benches, large back deck, and big Master Bedroom has its own deck as well for your morning coffee looking over the lake. Kitchen has everything you need. AC works great both upstairs & downstairs. Can fit two cars in the garage & at least three more in front of it. Dollar General has most things you might need about 5 minutes away. Emi is easy to contact & does a great job keeping this place clean & operational! This was our second visitā€¦and weā€™ll be back again!

Perfect for our family!

This was our second stay at this property. It is perfect for our family, our ages range from 2 years to 72 years. The house met all our needs and we would definitely stay here again. We love the fact it has it's own boat dock. I really like the set up of the master bedroom. There is a little kitchen area with coffee maker, microwave, mini refrigerator and sink. Perfect for coffee in the morning on the deck right outside your bedroom. We are early risers and don't have to disturb anyone when we get up.

We built this home for a gathering spot for family & friends to enjoy the lake! We Love this home and feel you will too! There are several rooms to visit or play games and a fire pit to roast marshmallows and enjoy the water views. The boat dock is so convenient and adds more time for all the water fun ahead.
