We also supply a starter set of essentials; however, some items such as additional toiletries or supplies may need to be replenished by guests during their stay. It is sensitive to evenly spacing laundry in the drum and not overloading, however no issue was found when the house was turned over by housekeeping. The washing machine issue was communicated to you beforehand (new laundry equipment was installed the day after your departure). About the Wi-Fi, the service interruption was caused by the router being unplugged during your stay. This was identified after you left and service was immediately restored. The refrigerator and freezer are both relatively new and were fully operational prior to and after your stay. Our post-departure inspection confirmed that the refrigerator doors had been left partially open, which would naturally prevent proper cooling. We would also note that the home was presented exactly as advertised, with professional photography reflecting the true layout and size. We have not received similar feedback regarding the property’s dimensions. Finally, it is disappointing that the property was left in a condition requiring extensive additional cleaning and remediation following your departure, including significant staining of linens and towels. The faint smell you noticed was from an ozone and UV (ultraviolet) air sanitization treatment, which ensures a high level of cleanliness and air quality. Additionally, all hard floor surfaces were power cleaned by professional contractors, and the carpets were deep-cleaned using commercial-grade equipment. This thorough process was conducted to ensure the home was impeccably sanitized. I explained this to you the evening before your departure; however, it seems there may have been a misunderstanding. Rest assured; the sanitization measures taken were entirely chemical-free. Regarding the minor pest ingress you mentioned, this actually indicates the effectiveness of the exterior pest control measures applied to the property. I also want to apologise for the oversight with the stained towel. If you had notified me at the start of your stay, I would have been happy to replace it immediately. Concerning the resort fee, it was detailed in your welcome pack, and our terms and conditions clearly outline what is provided as part of a self-catering stay. Lastly, I’d like to highlight that substantial improvements were made to the home before your arrival, including the installation of a new pool heater, dishwasher, microwave, AC enclosures, and some new furniture, along with other cosmetic upgrades. Additionally, you received a significant discount for your stay during the peak Thanksgiving period. While I’m naturally disappointed by your review, I don’t feel it fully reflects the quality and benefits offered by the property.
