Scotty Point Cabin has a Craftsman architectural style which reflects the love of simplicity and exhibiting attention to detail which includes old growth redwood trim throughout. It was built with consideration for amenities that allow for a comfortable vacation. The cozy feeling inside the cabin is perfect for a small family gathering. Set in the Pacific Northwest, 3 miles north of the historic town of Trinidad, California, Scotty Cabin is the perfect place to spend a few days or a couple of weeks exploring. Newly added: outdoor shower and two person Scotty Point cabana recreation area for your enjoyment!

In the mornings enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea as you walk out the door onto the sundeck overlooking the expansive private meadow before you finish breakfast and head off to explore for the day. And equally enjoyable when you return for a picturesque sunset dinner . The cabin is set up for three guests with a comfortable queen bed in the primary bedroom and an ultra thick twin size bed in the second bedroom. The full kitchen is well stocked with the majority of the cooking supplies and utensils you'll need to make quick meals on the go for your daily picnics or put together a leisurely dinner on the gas stove and oven. The full bathroom with shower and tub is designed to be compact but comfortable and well equipped. The front loading washer and dryer are well taken care of and located in the bathroom. All the BBQ utensils you'll need to enjoy the Gas Weber Grill are also provided. Hot and Cold sink near the BBQ for your convenience.

During your visit, please be sure and walk across the scenic meadow to take in the view of Scotty Point and the Pacific Ocean from the viewing terrace - a lovely place to have happy hour while watching the sunset in to the ocean. There is a deck box on the entry deck that has a few beach/lawn chairs and some toys for the kids for those beach trips or just to kick a ball about the meadow.

This was a wonderful spot in Trinidad. Easily within driving distance of many excellent redwoods hikes and groves, the reason for our stay. It's minutes from the center with most restaurants and the grocery store. The living room furniture isn't the most comfy, but the hot tub makes up for it! Good fit for two of us (friends). Very private and had fun deer visitors.

The grounds were lovely; the house decor was nice and unfussy; the location just off the highway was very convenient for trips and errands without being in a noisy or congested area; appliances (especially the gas stove) were very nice. We were very pleased with the rental.

Great place to stay! We loved it! Close to everything and very private. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower and hot tub. Great communication with the property managers. This place is fabulous. A well built and well appointed cozy cabin, which was perfect for our stay while visiting the California coast and redwoods. The decorations and artwork were charming, the small kitchen functioned very well, and the quiet location was excellent. We also enjoyed the moon viewing in the clearing, as well as the ability to see the sunset from the platform near the road.All told, this is one of the best places we have stayed in a long while, and would gladly do so again.

Hands down the best vacation rental Iā€™ve stayed in. Everything from the decor to the location is perfect! Close to town, but the property is super private with beautiful landscaping and plenty of parking. Everything inside is well thought out and the decor is lovely. The outdoor shower and hot tub are wonderful! We will definitely be back!

This property worked well for myself and friends as we had a great line of communication - there were 3 adults. Idealy this property would be great for a family - 2 adults and at the most two kids. Loved the ambiance and the character this property offered and the grounds are awesome.

Well designed and comfortable indoors and out. The back lawn was huge! It felt very private with all of the trees and foliage. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor shower. Kitchen was fully equipped. Location was convenient to town and to the redwoods.

Great spot

The property is just as advertised. What you cannot see is how close it is to just about everything. Maybe 15 minutes from the airport, 2 minutes from the freeway, close to restaurants and grocery stores, and yet so quiet.
