Big Pine Retreat is a hidden gem in the heart of hocking hills. Tucked into the deep woods, we are nestled between state forest and two hollows. You can hike from your cabin directly to 21 Horse Cave, Airplane Rock and Long Hollow Waterfall. Each cabin is privately situated and provides a quiet, peaceful getaway. And our location is ideal, only one mile from Conkle's Hollow and 4 miles from Old Man's Cave and Whispering Cave. Must be 21 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended. Free WiFi -may experience disruptions and outages

This cute little cabin was just what we needed to reset after a grueling semester. The hot tub was a great way to relax. Being so close to the trails at Hocking Hills made it easy to catch a quick hike and explore the area. The only snag was that the internet had trouble connecting a few times but our host was easy to reach to help with that. Overall a great stay!

Our stay was more than phenomenal. Peaceful, secluded, quiet-loved it! Accommodated our couples massage and in-home chef. The hot tub was the best part. So relaxing. We would definitely come back again.

Nice little cabin in the woods, reasonably private (there are other cabins on the road, one slightly visible from Mingo). The cabin was clean, although there were a couple of repairs that could be done (drywall finishing) to finish it off better. Host accurately described the slightly adventurous drive up the hill, so no surprises there. Overall, we had a very nice time!

This is a lovely spot - very close to Conkles Hollow and a short drive to Old Man's Cave. Cozy, well equipped for 4, comfortable beds, clean, extras like DVD's and games, host has put a lot of thought into making your stay delightful. Nice hot tub with woods view. THEY ARE NOT KIDDING WHEN THEY SAY THE DRIVEWAY IN IS STEEP!!! Choose your vehicle carefully and you'll have a wonderful stay.

Staff was absolutely wonderful our entire trip. We werent able to get a 4x4. We were ready to hike up to our cabin, but someone happened to be on the property for something else and helped us get to our cabin. Cabin was clean! They had even send someone to help us get back down to our vehicle at checkout time. Great experience! We will definitely be back for a third stay!

The cabin is not only adorable but perfectly accommodating and in the perfect location. We were withing 25 minutes or less from all of the trails and activities we planned and the free wifi was a huge bonus since signal is so spotty in the area. This cabin is tucked away so you are surrounded by woods to enjoy a nice jacuzzi soak or a fire. Theres even a small grill available. Very nice for my group of 5. 10/10 would return again!

Great property and location. However there would be a few things that would be nice if they were improved. Not deal breakers by any stretch, but still would be nice to have. The water pressure was quite low especially when a toilet was filling or the shower was being used. Also the master mattress is nearing the end of its life as it dips towards the center.

Very cute little cabin in the woods. Great place to disconnect. Had all the basic things you’d need or want, with added bonus of the hot tub! Great communication with host and fast fixes for all the items we brought up. Internet seemed fine on phones but TV connection was in and out, so don’t count on that, plus no TV in lower bedroom. Tight, steep drive up to get there, be careful. Great central location to hit up hiking spots or explore woods.

The cabin was very clean and secluded. The trails at Okd Man’s Cave and Hoking Hills were wonderful. There isn’t any Internet available, which we knew before hand, but the TV didn’t have any reception and the DVD player wasn’t working. So when the rain kept us inside we were scrambling to find ways to entertain the kids. Not a huge problem I just wish we had been more prepared. Overall it was a great get away.
