Gaze at this stunning view down from a brand new condo perched right on the shore! The Captain's Suite is one of four guests apartments in the Main Street Station, designed to complement beloved historic structures of Eastsound. This is our premium unit, one bedroom with a queen bed, pull-out sofa, fully equipped compact kitchen, barbeque, porch just steps from the water, and nearby stairs to the gorgeous rocky beach. 500 square feet architecturally crafted with attention to every detail, and all new furnishings in coastal, organic style we call 'beachy elegance.' The rooms highlight natural textures and products from local artisans. This unit is on the main floor for easy access, and includes a washer and dryer for your personal use. In Eastsound Village you will find all you need -- the farmer's market, bookstore, kayak rentals, bicycles, grocery, natural foods, boutiques, gift shops, and more. In fact, you don't even have to bring a car! Skip the ferry lines and pack light, take a shuttle or taxi to Eastsound, and the rest of your trip is easy. Feel free to ask us for any other special details you may desire for your get-away. Simply the perfect spot for your Orcas Island adventure! This is a wonderful rental if you enjoy easy walking access to the food coop, restaurants, shops etc, a beautiful view of the harbor & its active bird population, easy checkin/out, comfortable bed, great lighting with comfortable chairs for reading, many usb ports for charging devices plus other conveniences. However, keep in mind that this rental is in town, located next to a restaurants & has another rental unit above it. If sounds associated with these things may be of concern, you perhaps should look elsewhere. We did not find any of these things to be a problem & would definately return to enjoy this space.

The location was perfect! I couldn’t believe how great the view was of the ocean right outside the doors! Unfortunately it was rainy so we couldn’t enjoy the Adirondack chairs.

This is the second time we have stayed in this VRBO. It was as delightful as the first time. Cozy well appointed accomodations. Within walking distance to the entire downtown area.Pretty much perfect!

Very nice apartment in a great location. Really enjoyed seeing the water from our patio and having a nice cozy fireplace. Everything we needed was there and we could walk to shops and restaurants. Our host made directions very easy. And we had a notebook full of helpful hints for everything including activities, restaurants etc. would love to stay there again

The Sea Star Lofts are a real gem in Eastsound! We have stayed in three different rooms and they are very clean, cozy, convenient to everything you’d want or need! We love staying here and would give them ten stars if we were allowed. I love the patio facing the water on the ground floor and the balconies upstairs. Brown Bear bakery is across the street, Darvill’s bookstore is a couple doors door, Forest Ceramics is on the street side, Ladybug pizza is on the corner!

In the heart of Orcas Island

Had a great time celebrating my birthday in Eastsound and lots of hiking in Moran State Park! Happy to see the bushes in the yard trimmed down to see the water view.

We had a wonderful stay in the Captain's Suite! What a special little spot. The hosts have included everything needed for a lovely get away, I wish we'd stayed more than one night. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine on the lovely patio with beautiful views of the water. Do not miss out on the bakery across the street - it is outstanding. The description does not mention that the bathroom does have a larger than normal tub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of adventures.

Plenty of room, & the view is amazing!

We had a fantastic weekend in this space. The building is right next to the stairs that take you to the beach when the tide is out. We spent a lot of time in the big Adirondack chairs on the patio. Conveniently, the fencing around the patio was secure enough that our little 8-lb dog could not escape. The bathroom was surprisingly large, & as a person who runs cold often, I appreciated the wall heater, so I didn’t shiver in the shower. The bathtub was deep enough that I ran next door to the botanicals shop & got a bath bombThe one bummer about this space was the ant invasion we had to contend with all weekend. Not out of the ordinary for the PNW, but it made it pretty impossible to roll out my mat to do some movement without ants crawling onto my mat. We found a broom to sweep the ants up, but could not find a dust pan, so I just swept them out the front door as best I could.Other than the constant ants, this place was stellar!

Get away

A lovely little space with a lovely view. Super clean and thoughtfully hosted. We didn’t realize the neighbouring building is a restaurant with the back kitchen door opening almost directly across from the suite: the restaurants door was open later into the evening/night and was quite a bit noisier than I was expecting. The hosts do supply a white noise machine in the bedroom.

Nice place, nice view in a great location. Only issues is you can hear movement upstairs and there were very tiny ants in the apartment.

We enjoyed how close the property was to everything. We ended up walking most of the weekend. Only negative was that the upstairs was fairly loud so we could hear people walking above us during the night. Besides that no issues.

Great Location & Views

I booked this place for my parents and I, and they loved it. The views were amazing, and the location could not be beat. Only downside was the sleeping situation. The pull out bed had a very thin mattress that sagged in the middle. The queen bed wasn't much better and was also well worn.

We have been on Orcas Island for many decades (in fact Wally grew up here!), so know the island well. We can suggest not only popular travel adventures, but little know gems on island backroads.

We purchased this property for love of the historic Porter Building, located next door. For years this portion was vacant, occupied by a parking lot and dumpsters. We dreamed of beautifying the shoreline, dedicating a beach access to the public and building stairs to the water. At last we've completed our vision with the 'Main Street Station.' SeaStar Lofts allows us to welcome travelers to our favorite place in the world.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Sipping coffee or a glass of wine on the patio, breathing in that clear island air, and contemplating the view! We also love wandering around the village, hiking in the Turtleback Mountain Reserve, and exploring Moran State Park. We know many of the restauranteurs in town and there are a remarkable number of delicious options for an evening out.
