Waterfront! Waters Edge is an open and spacious northwest traditional style home. Located just outside of Friday Harbor on the island's east side, this home has heated concrete floors on the main level which includes the Primary suite, and the loft bedroom is located upstairs and opens up to the ceiling of the kitchen.

The living area has a propane fireplace for a relaxing ambiance while you enjoy the wonderful views out to San Juan Channel, Yellow Island and watching the ferry go by. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. The butcher block counter tops, propane cook-top, and water-views will make preparing meals an enjoyable activity.

The main level, primary suite is furnished with a Queen size bed and includes a propane fireplace, deck access, water-views, and a bathroom with an over-sized tiled shower. The upper-level loft bedroom is also furnished with a Queen size bed and has an adjacent contemporary bathroom with tiled shower. The Loft bedroom is open to the kitchen, as shown in photos.

*This house is not suitable for small children due to medium bank waterfront and loft style bedroom*

This home is equipped with a Smart TV and Wi-Fi for those that must stay connected.

This is a Non-Smoking home.

This house has good cell phone reception.

Great view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. Mom and Dad and 2 young adult sons. Only queen beds, so we brought a sleeping pad for one of the boys. This rental has a truly magical view of the water and neighboring islands - it was very relaxing to be out on the deck enjoying the view. The kitchen is well appointed, and the home is spotless. Be aware that there is not a lot of privacy in this rental. Sound carries, the loft bedroom is open to below, and there is only a screen over the two sided fireplace between the bedroom and the living room. The boys couldn’t sleep in, no matter how quietly we made coffee they heard us. WiFi was a little slow when all 4 of us were using it, but I did a video call while telling everyone else to stay off and it worked well. Bring a hair dryer if you need it; there is only one and it is missing a required diffuser so I couldn’t use it. (I’ll message the managers, I imagine they will get that fixed.) Overall an excellent stay, the view is better than the pictures and the home is lovely.

Super nice house, fantastically located with an amazing calmness over night and in the early morning. Kitchen is very nicely equipped, sounds like being home. The coffee machine could be improved.

Wonderful House, beautiful view!

I loved the house. Completely stocked for cooking, Great spice rack! Loved the view over the water. Very quiet and peaceful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a very nice two-bedroom home. Nicely appointed kitchen and living room. The water views from most rooms and the deck are excellent. We watched Orcas swim by on our first night. The house is very clean and is well maintained. One suggestion would be to fix/improve the water pressure in the master shower. The water pressure from the faucets throughout the house and the upstairs bathroom are fine. Would stay here again.

Nice Location/Aged Property/Horrible Property Management

The property's location is out of town so you will need a car. Taxis on San Juan Island are unpredictable. The property needs a rehab/upgrade. There is one tv in the entire property which is the size of a PC monitor. San Juan Property Management is laughably incompetent. We rent houses all over the world and San Juan Property Management is the worst we have dealt with. Finally, for VRBO, why is it I agree with your terms and conditions, reserve a property (like this property) and THEN I receive San Juan Property's terms and conditions?

We saw bald eagles, hummingbirds, deer, fish jumping out of the water, AND orcas swam right by us one late afternoon! Beautiful, clean place with lovely views. I didn't want to leave.

Reviewer Comments: The house was gorgeous, we enjoyed it , but for all the 1000$ fees on top of the rental , the manager did not even welcome us with a bottle of wine, very stingy!coffee maker and toaster and pots and pans were very poor quality.Table ware was very nice. Manager unflexible about letting us leave at 11,,I am partially disable and had to wake up at 6 am to be able to leave by 10, actually left at 9:20 am. Covid is no longer an issue.arrival is at 4 pm so there was plenty of time to clean house. I would only reccommend if the person had no limitations to leave early.We liked hiking at english camp and visiting the sculpture park. we did not eat out.went what watching w safari tours. Bring warm clothes , sunny but cold wind.Enjoyed recipe books from owner.

Stunning views and great location, with some missing details.

I came from Seattle with my partner & in-laws who were visiting from out of state and wanted to see the islands. The property location is supreme, just a five minute drive from Friday Harbor, making grocery shopping, exploring, & accessing the ferry effortless. The home is beautiful with jaw-dropping views of the Salish Sea; you could spend hours sitting on the deck watching the light change with the passing sun; on our first evening we even saw two humpback whales swimming by. Kitchen was spacious and well-stocked, and we appreciated the books and thoughtful touches throughout. My primary comments for improvement would be some thoughtful updates to sleeping accommodations. Both mattresses felt old, creaky, and misshapen after presumed years of use, and pillows were thin and flimsy. The wide windows that offer such beautiful views proved troublesome for sleeping during the northwest's long summer days, as darkness didn't settle until 10pm and we were all woken by the early summer sunrise pouring in at 5am with no blinds to help us fall back to sleep. As a result, all four of us slept poorly both nights of our stay. I would also recommend a larger tv with improved seating layout for visitors who may want to unwind and watch a movie together after a full day exploring the island. All in all, this is a beautiful property with incredible views in a fabulous location, but more care could be paid to physical comfort and details that consider visitor's experience in the space.

The view overlooking the water could not have been more beautiful and fascinating. We had deer come into the backyard and saw eagles, dolphins, and seals from the deck. Proximity to town was just right and you can easily access the rest of the island. Waters Edge is a place we hope to return to, as it is as memorable as it is serene.

Great stay!

What a beautiful home in a beautiful setting, very peaceful. The view was exceptional and the home had all of the essentials needed for a comfortable getaway. There was a lot of space for 3-4 people.

What a great house--the home is elegant, with simple and lovely well thought out features. The outstanding views and large windows augmented the interior, and the deck was fantastic, and flowed from inside to outside nicely. Such a great layout. I usually like staying on the west side of the island for the sunsets, but the sunrises here were beautiful and worth the wake. I loved looking out at Shaw and Orcas. Turtle Back Mountain on Orcas looms right there, and I could even see into the Marina at Deer Harbor (in the distance). Was great being so close to town, but really you're never too far from anywhere on the island. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

First time on San Juan island

We loved Water's Edge. The views were gorgeous. We saw bald eagles several times either flying by or siting in a nearby tree. The kitchen was very well stocked. We would definitely return.

The home is well cared for and is large for a two bedroom. The closet in the master is reserved for the owner so the hanging storage is limited to the hall closet. The secondary bedroom is open to the kitchen and the two sided fireplace creates some privacy issues for the master. The TV arangement is less than ideal. That said I would rent it again without question. The house is special.

Lovely home with great views!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Views were magnificent. Very clean. Close to Friday Harbor. The property was as advertised. My only issue was we were not allowed use of the master bedroom closet so we had to use the front hall closet. Otherwise, 5 stars all the way!!
