Set among pine trees and close to all amenities the house is four minutes walk (250 meters) from the superb sandy beach and two restaurants and a cafe/bar. Casa Agape is within a few minutes drive of five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus, Monte Rei course, and backs onto a national reserve of pine trees. Casa Agape is a beautiful, comfortable house, with a traditional Portuguese feel,laid out over two floors with terraces overlooking the large swimming pool. ( which is fenced for added security) It boasts views over the pine forested national park and towards the sea, and is luxuriously furnished throughout its four bedrooms, large living room and dining area, together with a large well appointed part open plan kitchen. The villa is air conditioned and is luxuriously furnished to a very high standard.

Warm weather training

Great location and villa was great value. Communication could be a bit better and the villa needs a bit of TLC. However it was great for us and value for money cannot be disputed

Zwei wunderschöne Ferienwochen

Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und den herrlichen Garten sehr genossen, sofern es das Wetter zugelassen hat. Der Weg zum Strand war kurz und erlaubte es, am Abend immer nochmals den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen. Die herrlich warme Zudecke empfanden wir in den teils kalten Nächten als sehr wohltuend.

Fabulous holiday at Casa Agape 2019

Just returned from Casa Agape. This beautiful villa, easily accommodated 10 of us,never felt overcrowded. The kitchen flowed out to the barbeque area, where we were able to watch the children in the swimming pool. The pool was a decent size. The beautiful beach was a 5 minute walk from the villa, we went during the busy season but plenty of sun beds available for 12 euros. We had lovely walks through the woods to the town nearby Monte Gordo, it took about15 minutes Taxis are cheap.

Lovely villa very close to super sandy beach

Villa is in a quiet residential area. The villa & outside area was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Villa will comfortably sleep 8-10 people and inside and outside lounge and dining areas also suitable for this many guests. The outdoor cooking area was really useful with a few BBQ's on the patio. Pool and garden very well maintained and the pool with the steps leading is very useful for children, elderly or guests with mobility issues. Downstairs bedroom and shower room also very convenient if quests need easy accessibility & villa was also largely wheelchair friendly inside & out. Would highly recommend.

Heerlijk huis, iets gedateerd.

Het is een prachtig ruim huis, super dicht bij het strand. Het ligt in een wijkje met allemaal vakantiewoningen, verder geen voorzieningen in de buurt. De keuken en inrichting is wel wat gedateerd. Buiten veel ruimte, mooi zwembad en heel leuk een tafelvoetbalspel! Ik zou er zo weer een keer naar terug gaan!

Sehr überzeugend!

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön aufgeteilt und liegt direkt hinter den Dünen. Der Außenbereich ist sehr großzügig und ermöglicht einen ständigen Aufenthalt im Freien inklusive der Mahlzeiten. Lediglich der Geschirrspüler benötigt einmal einen Update. Ansonsten ist das Objekt sehr zu empfehlen und wir würden es gern wieder buchen.

Sehr schönes Haus, super Austattung, großer Pool, gute Lage

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles was man brauchte war vorhanden. Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, mehrere Möglichkeiten um zu Essen. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben oft gekocht und gegrillt. Das besonders große Angebot an Frischfisch in den Supermärkten hat uns besonders gefallen. Der gut gepflegte Garten und der relativ große Pool hatte es nicht nur den Kindern besonders angetan. Das einzige Problem im Haus waren die Betten. Im unteren Schlafzimmer, das von Oma und Opa genutzt wurde, sind die Betten für Erwachsene doch sehr schmal und die Matratzen von minderer Qualität Die Betten im oberen Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten haben sehr gequietscht, obwohl hier die 5 und 6jährigen Kinder schliefen. Standort guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und nur ca 300 m vom herrlichen feinen Sandstrand entfernt. Vor dem Strand gibt es auch noch einen großen Parkplatz. Mitunter nachts lauter Verkehrslärm und laut feiernde Nachbarn. Das hat uns aber kaum gestört. Wir können uns gut vorstellen, evtl. in zwei Jahren wieder in diesem Objekt Urlaub zu machen.

We left after 16 hrs.......

If you want to know why we left after 16 hours - losing our entire payment - continue reading..... While there we discovered - 1. Hair in the drain of the upstairs bathroom left from the previous guests 2. The provided hair dryer was sticky on the outside and had plenty of hair on the inside 3. The mattress cover for the baby crib was very obviously old, heavily used & seemed stained 4. The mattresses in the 2 bedrooms we used were very old & uncomfortable with the beds as old as the house. 5. The sheets on the bed my wife & I used were noisy when we moved in bed. 6. The house felt dark, old and cold 7. The furniture downstairs had 'a lot of room for improvement' with the comfort and was 'well aged' 8. Although a very nice beach is only a 15 min walk away, everything else (restaurants, bars, stores, etc) is not within walking distance and there is nothing in the area of the house except other houses, plus the nearby town is pretty run-down. In summary, the price paid was overly ambitious considering the state of the house. And upon writing an email of explanation to the owner (on the Homelidays platform), we received zero response, not even an apology for the dirtiness of the house, only our security deposit back a few days after the rental period end. Good points 1. Owner was very diligent about communicating pre-arrival 2. The pictures of the backyard on this website are great and pretty representative So - if you want a place close to the beach, go for it. If you care about cleanliness, location convenience, etc., as we do, keep looking.

Mooie villa met veel ruimte.

Ik heb met een groep van 9 personen een week in deze villa mogen verblijven. Het was ruim , mooi en van alles voorzien. We hebben een fijne tijd gehad en ik kom zeker weer terug!

Estadia bastante agradável

Adoramos a casa, a começar pelo espaço exterior, que estava cuidado, onde os miudos efectuaram as suas brincadeiras enquanto preparavamos um excelente churrasco, a piscina estava ótima. Quanto aos interiores, cozinha equipada com todos os elementos básicas e restantes divisões estavam ótimas, permitindo um bom descanço. Recomendo a casa e o local, se possível, voltaremos a reservar em próximas oportunidades.

Excellent holiday villa

Very nice and comfortable villa, well equipped, nice garden and pool (very clean and well maintained) close to the beautiful beach. We were 11 adults (two families with 7 "children" between 18 and 27 :) )- the owner provided an extra bed - but never felt crowded, as the villa is very spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed during our stay. The owners are very friendly and provided directions and all necessary information prior to our arrival. Thanks Andrew and Else, we had a wonderful time at Casa Agape!

superb

Fantastic stay very comfortable villa clean well appointed, lovely bbq area, one of the best holidays we've had for a long time and so close to the beach where they have a superb new restaurant that has recently been opened next to beach. Andrew was very helpful prior to arriving with all information and made us feel very welcome. I don't really want to recommend as it may be booked next year leaving us having to book elsewhere!!!

Beautiful Villa close to idyllic beach

Normally listing descriptions can exaggerate the merits of a property but that is definitely not the case here, it is incredibly accurate. Normally I’ll see the negative if there is one before I’ll see the positive but there was practically nothing wrong with Casa Agape at all. We had a fantastic holiday. We were a group of five adults and three children (8,7 and 2). The house was perfect. The kids lived in the pool which has a shallow end with a paddling area, dipping to 1.9 metres at the deep end. My main reason for choosing it was the fact the pool is visible from the living and kitchen areas but there were so many other positives once we arrived. It feels like a home from home rather than a rented villa and is very comfortably furnished. It is large and spacious and we never felt claustrophobic during our 12 day stay. There is a lovely flow between the living, kitchen and terrace areas. The air conditioning is excellent but it wasn’t really needed despite temperatures reaching 39oC. The house is very close to the absolutely idyllic beach, 5/10 minuteswalk . The heat on the way was stifling but there is a lovely breeze on the beach itself so it never felt too hot despite the soaring temperatures. The beach stretches for miles and is accessed by a boardwalk over the dune. There are deck chairs/parasols for hire and a cabin that sells drinks (we used neither so don’t know prices). A new restaurant was in the process of being opened at the entrance during our stay which will be very convenient. There is a lovely walk through the wood behind/beside the house to Monto Gordo (15/20 minutes). There is a little bar/cafe and shop at the entrance of the estate which has all the essentials. There are several good restaurants locally but of the ones we tried Pezinhos n'aria in Praia Verde was definitely our favourite – relaxed but elegant). Andrew and Else called on our first day and were absolutely lovely. They had lots of tips and were available to contact, if required, throughout our stay. We normally like to vary our holiday destinations but we loved here so much that we hope to be back. It was off peak when we stayed and seemed quiet but many of the houses were empty so it’s probably a lot more lively in July and August.

Fantástica estancia

El alojamiento es ideal para familias con niños. Espacioso,limpio y con un magnifica ubicación para pasar unos días. El trato de Else ha sido impecable y cualquier cosa que hemos necesitado, nos ha atendido espupendamente. Salón amplio, 4 habitaciones grandes y una cocina con todo el equipamiento necesario para sentire más que cómodo. Repetiremos si cuadran las fechas.

Flott hus med fin beliggenhet

Huset er godt utstyrt og har eit flott basseng/uteområde. Vi var 9 personar ( 5 vakse og 4 barn) og det er der god plass til. Kort vei til fantastiske Monte Gordo beach. Det er ca 20-30 minutt å gå inn til Monte Gordo, og det er ein flott tur å gå på stranda eller gjennom skogen ( på fine turstier). Eit par minutt å gå frå huset ligg den lokale butikken/cafe/bakeri. Der finn ein det mest nødvendige av matvarer, dei tilbyr også middagsretter/takeaway og ein kan kjøpe ferske, gode bakervarer frå klokka 07:30 kvar dag- Absolutt å anbefale! Dette er 3.gangen vi reiser til Monte Gordo og leiger hus I dette området. Tusen takk til Andrew og Else for god informasjon og som alltid stiller opp viss det er noko. Vi kjem garantert tilbake!

An absolutely wonderful villa!

We stayed at the villa as a party of 6..4 adults and 2 children. The villa was very spacious and extremely well presented and clean. It really was a home from home with everything we needed for our stay provided. It was very comfortable and had air conditioning throughout. We had fantastic weather so managed to make full use of the pool which was also very clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and helpful, just a phone call away if we needed anything at all. All in all a fantastic villa which I am sure we will be back to visit again!

Would highly recommend this Villa

After 16 hours coming from Florida we walked in (4 adults and 2 children) and couldn't believe how beautiful this Villa was. It was spotlessly clean, airy and fresh. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything had been provided for an awesome two week stay. even pool inflatables for the kids. 5 mins walk from beautiful sandy beach and five mins walk from a shop that sold all the essentials. The people who own/run this villa should be proud of themselves. I would definitely stay here again and would give it 10 stars if I could.

Bonjour Nous sommes arrivés à 2 familles(4 adultes et 3 ados) pour 15 jours de vacance(détente et tourisme). La villa est superbe, bien équipée(matériel de cuisine, barbecue...) grande piscine et située vraiment à 250m d'une belle plage . Nous avons pu faire beaucoup de tourisme dans toute l'Algarve, un jour sur deux(Cap Sagres à l'ouest, l'intérieur des terres et même une journée à Séville!!) . Nous sommes allés plusieurs fois à pied à Monte Gordo le soir (resto indiqué par les propriétaires qui d'ailleurs sont très sympas). Bref, à recommander+++++

Perfect summer holiday for all age groups.

We stayed at this villa as an extended family group of 10 people including 4 boys ages 10 to 14, plus my parents who are in their eighties. The villa comfortably sleeps 10 people with an actual bed each.. No sofa beads or camp beds. The villa is clean through out & very well equipped including pool outdoor shower BBQ. It is within walking distance of a beautiful long sandy beach. Also nearby is a woods ideal for waking running & cycling. We hired bikes at a good rate for our stay. Nearby is a small bakery & within a short drive are good supermarkets. We had a great time here & would happily return. Many thanks to Andrew & Elsie.

Traumurlaub

Zum vierten Mal haben wir (2 Erwachsene + 3 Kinder zwischen 0 und 9 Jahren) nun schon einen traumhaft schönen Urlaub in Casa Agape verbracht. Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage. Es liegt äußerst ruhig am Rand einer Villen-/Reihenhaussiedlung, die zu dieser Jahreszeit sehr leer wirkt. Nur noch der Wald trennt das Haus vom wunderschönen großen ziemlich menschenleeren Sandstrand. Die Kinder lieben es. Ein Bäcker ist fussläufig. Ein Mietwagen sollte man aber haben, da Bus und Bahn nicht ganz so gut erreichbar sind. Mit Auto ist man in 10 min in Villa Real Santo Antonio, in der es neben Obst- und Fischmarkt der Einheimischen u.a. auch Lidl gibt, so dass man so ziemlich alle Lebensmittel erhält (was vor Jahren noch nicht der Fall war. Durch den Wald (Naturpark) ist man zu Fuß in 10-15 min. in der Touristenstadt Monte Gordo, von der man von Casa Agape aber nichts mitbekommt. Casa Agape selbst hält was es verspricht. Von Waschmaschine, Gefrierschank, WLAN bis Fön, Kindersitz und elektr. Orangenpresse, das Haus hat so ziemlich alles vorrätig. Gibt es Probleme, so helfen Else und Andrew sofort. Terasse mit Esstisch, Feuerstelle und Garten mit Pool sind so schön, dass man selbst dann noch im Freien ist, wenn man schon den ganzen Tag unterwegs war. Ausflugsziele gibt es hier sehr schöne, z.b. Tavira (15 min), Villa Real Santo Antonio, Cacela Velha, Castro Marim oder Alcoutim.
