Stay comfortably in Willow River on Long Lake at Shangri Lodge!
Shangri Lodge is nestled right at the shores edge with a large, quiet sand beach and 2 separate cabins so larger families can have their own space. Upper cabin has 2 large bedrooms both with amazing window views of the lake. 2 full bathrooms, open kitchen design attached to a cozy living room with a sliding glass door that leads to a large deck, all with fantastic views of the lake. The living room has a wood burning stove & smart tv on the wall. The amazing lower cabin can sleep a total of 8 people. This has 1 master bedroom with 1-queen size bed, queen size futon, a sliding glass door onto a large deck with bonfire & lake views. A unique office with a separate storm door entrance facing the lake, sky light and a trundle bed with 2-twin size beds. Large bathroom and separate "cave-like" shower room. The basement room has 1- trundle bed with 2-twin size beds, wood burning stove, small table seats 2, walk out sliding glass door facing the lake. It also offers additional sleeping options, guests will have plenty of room to relax and unwind. The large kitchen design is open to the living room. The living room has an electric fireplace set on the wall below a smart tv. Both cabins have a laundry area, equipped with a full size washer and dryer, dishwashers, electric stoves, gas grills and full sized refrigerators. Their are 2-docks set in place to create a safe swimming zone and a walk in private sand beach. Their is a brand new wood sauna with a small deck on the property facing the lake for your pleasure. At night, the lake gets as calm as glass, the stars brighter than ever, and if you sit real still you might get a visit from the local otters. In the morning you might see a mist covering the lake, here and see a loon or two. Grab a paddleboard or hop on the pedal pontoon and have some lake fun. Shangri Lodge will help you feel at home while you're getting away from city life in Willow River.

Perfect lake weekend

This rental was great! We used it for a weekend with friends. We had 12 adults and itā€™s slept everyone comfortably! I loved the canoes and paddle boards.

We had a great time here.There was plenty of room for our 2 families, indoor and outdoor. Enjoyed all the water toys they provided, that was a big plus. Fishing was good, catching crappies, northern, large mouth bass. Nice quiet lake.Plenty of wood for campfires and beautiful sauna provided. Pictures are exactly what you get.There are toys and games for the kids also.We will be back next summer!

Very nice. There were 13 of us (two could not make the trip) from three families and everyone loved it there. The two cabins had comfortable sleeping for all of us. The lake was calm and clear and there were more watercraft at the house than were ever used at one time.The kitchen facilities made preparing large quantities easy to do.Highly recommended.

There were several issues that i plan on addressing. Small house no heat. 55 degrees! Danielle was notified. I understand from my family that someone did come. Nothing fixed, no communication not even a heater was offered. I was able to borrow a heater for the kids in the unit. Not our responsibility. Large house has a sewer smell. Then when you use the shower the septic backs up into the kitchen sink along with a symphony of noises and waste. The sauna would not work. Peace of mind and family time disrupted. Beautiful place but vrbo was zero help and frustrating to communicate with. Insisted on pictures being sent when i was not connected to the internet and you had to stand in 1 spot to make a phone call. When you spend this kind of money i expect things to be maintained. I owned a 5 star vrbo on Rush lake believe me i never had any issues everything was checked to make sure it was operating prior to guests arriving.

Family Cabin Weekend

We stayed at Shangri Lodge for our annual family cabin weekend. We are a large group of 17, including ages 4-65. Overall this property worked for our group. The outdoor space of this property was wonderful. There are two docks that are large and in good shape. There is a swimming area in between if you donā€™t mind weeds and a bit of muck. The lake is small and very brown. The fishing wasnā€™t great but we did catch some small sunfish and a couple bass. The yard was perfect for lawn games and the kids loved the ropes course. There were several kayaks and paddle boards available and they got used our whole stay. We also brought our boat, there is a public access but it is tiny and doesnā€™t have a dock. The cabins are spacious and had enough beds for our whole party. The large cabin only has one bedroom with a door though so it wasnā€™t the most ideal for the rest of those that stayed in it. There was also only one bathroom in the big cabin. The smaller cabin had plenty of space and each bedroom had a bathroom which was nice for those that stayed in that cabin. The pans, utensils, etc were limited in both cabins. There were some but not many so if you need something particular, I would recommend bringing it. There were several dirty dishes in the cupboard in both cabins, some not clean and some just seemed like it hadnā€™t been used much so it had dust or bugs on it. We just had to inspect everything before we used it. Other than one dirty dishes, both cabins were clean and tidy.

Family friendly lake!
2 cabins on one large piece of property, that has 300 ft of lakeshore. The lake is smaller than some, but has a unique channel with wildlife all around that goes into Wolf lake. I could see where my kids were most of the time from the dock & the lake water is not choppy- looks like glass when it settles. I love the mist on the water & the loon's song in the mornings.

Peaceful but FUN!
2 fully equipped cabins very close to the lake, on a large lakeshore property. Plenty of room for families to play and be separate when they need to. Each cabin has a large deck, windows & sliding glass doors with lake views. Both share a large outdoor fire pit for bonfires & a brand new wood burning sauna close to the lake, with stunning lake views.
