My friend and I had a lovely stay in David's appartement! The location is great and the appartement itself is very practical with a useful kitchen, lots of space to store our stuff and a quite large bathroom. David was so helpful both when we were arriving and leaving!

Central location and helpful host

David's studio is very centrally located, in a vibrant area - very Parisian, but not in the traditional classic touristic Parisian. I never met David in person but he was super responsive and helpful over SMS. I ended up taking a later train on the day of departure, and David graciously agreed to let me stay through the late afternoon. The flat itself is basic, clean and comfortable. I recommend it.

Wonderfully helpful property manager

David was helpful and responded quickly.The studio is located in a convenient spot with metro lines 8,9, and 4 running nearby. Walking distance to many sites of interest. At night, Bonne Nouvelle is a better (and closer) stop than Strasbourg St. Denis. Through no fault of the owner, there was huge construction going on across the street, sometimes long into the night.I didn’t eat there, so I didn’t use anything but the coffee maker. It was equipped with everything you need for a short stay.

Thank you Barbara for your comment, concerning the work, the studio is equipped with double-glazed windows, if there is noise, it is practically non-existent to the ear, the law in Paris authorizes noise until 10 pm except exceptional exemption as it was the case for you at your arrival, I apologize for it

Points positifs : -Super emplacement près du métro et des restaurants. -L'ascenseur-Chauffage d'appoint efficace.Points négatifs : - La salle de bain a besoin d'un peu d'amour (drain du bain n'est pas tout a fait efficace, l'eau monte dès le début de la douche et il y a de la moisissure dans la salle de bain. - Il y avait des pompes à savon, mais vides.- Il y avait une erreur dans l'annonce au moment de faire le booking qui indiquait la présence d'un lit de bébé, mais finalement il n'y en avait pas. Lorsque nous l'avons su, il etait trop tard pour annuler et nous trouver un appartement bien situé à un bon prix. Le propriétaire s'en est excusé et l'a retiré de son annonce, mais ça quand même eu un impact sur notre séjour.

A Charming Flat in Bonne Nouvelle

My young-adult daughter and I stayed in this apartment for seventeen nights beginning in early March, 2014. We found it to be an extremely quaint, charming place to stay. The apartment was quite comfortable with TV, good kitchen facilities, plenty of storage for clothes and other things travelers bring with them. The bathroom was very nice, with plenty of room. Importantly, in a building that is slightly over one hundred years old, the plumbing was excellent -- strong faucets in the kitchen & bathroom, and for shower/bath & commode. No problems whatsoever! The building is very secure with a totally safe, secure entrance way off of Rue du Mazagran. The elevator, though small, works in excellent fashion. The apartment was very quiet with no noise from neighboring apartments or street noise. The best aspect may be the location, on Boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle right on the border between the 2nd and 10th Arrondissements. The apartment is a thirty second walk from the Strasbourg-Saint Denis Metro station, which is a quick,easy hub to both north-south and east-west Metro lines. The meant we could be at almost any place in Paris very quickly. Example -- it took less than fifteen minutes to reach Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Citi, as well as the Latin Quarter across The Seine. Garnier Opera was ten minutes. The Bonne Nouvelle Metro Station, an east-west only Metro line, is maybe one minute walk from the apartment. There is absolutely no need to have an automobile when staying at this apartment. There is a very good selection of shops and restaurants/cafes within in a very short walking distance on Rue de Bonne Nouvelle, Rue Faubourg-St. Denis, and Boulevard de Strausbourg. The neighborhood is quite safe and very interesting. There are bakeries and markets close by for breakfast and other food & drink. I would not recommend this apartment for families, but for two or three people who want to enjoy Paris and have quick, easy access to the wonderful qualities of Paris, it is an EXCELLENT place to stay. David, the owner and manager of the apartment, is exceedingly friendly, very helpful and good to work with. For the price it is a very, very good value. We have very fond memories of our stay in this apartment and on return trips to Paris will check on its availability. I would heartily recommend it as a wonderful place to stay!!

PERFECT LOCATION

The studio was exactly as per description and pictures, small but containing all facilities that you may require for a short/medium stay in Paris. At Just 50 mtrs from metro BONNE NOUVELLE or 15 to 20-minute walk to Chatelet, Les Halles, Hotel de Ville and Ile de la Cité (Notre Dame), and Latin Quartier. At walk distance to the nice Rue de Montorgueil, in oldest Paris, full of restaurants and nice shops. The booking was easy and David replied to my tons of e-mails in real time! David was nice and helpful, he was so kind to wait our late arrival at midnight! All perfect, in one word: RECOMMENDED! Le studio a été à la hauteur de sa description et ses photos, petit, mais bien équipé de tout ce dont on pourrait avoir besoin pour un séjour de courte ou moyenne durée à Paris. A une distance de seulement 50 mtrs du métro BONNE NOUVELLE et à 12 à 20 minutes à pieds de tous les points d'intérêt touristique: Chatelet, Les Halles, Hotel de Ville, Ile de la Cité (Notre Dame) et le quartier latin. A une petite distance à pied de la fameuse rue de Montorgueil, en vieux Paris, charmante rue très vivante et pleine de restos et magasins. La réservation a été très simple puisque David a répondu en temps réel à mes dizaines de mails. David a été un hôte très gentil et disponible, en attendant notre arrivée à l'appartement jusqu'à Minuit! Tout parfait, en un seul mot: RECOMMANDEE!! L’appartamento corrisponde esattamente alla descrizione e alle foto, piccolo ma dotato di tutti i confort necessari per un soggiorno di breve o media durata a Parigi. Si trova a soli 50 metri dalla Metro BONNE NOUVELLE e a soli 15-20 minuti a piedi da Chatelet, Les Halles, Hotel de Ville, Ile de la Cité (Notre Dame) e il Quartiere Latino. A breve distanza a piedi dalla celebre rue de Montorgueil, nella vecchia Parigi, via molto viva e piena di ristoranti e negozi. Prenotazione semplice dell’appartamento, risposte in tempo reale anche se ho mandato davvero molte e-mail! David è stato molto gentile e disponibile, e ha pazientemente aspettato il nostro arrivo allo studio fino a mezzanotte! In una sola parola: RACCOMNADATO!

Très bonne localisation lorsque les déplacements à pied (ou transport en commun) sont privilégiés. Animé dehors, tout à fait tranquille dedans, l'appartement comprend toutes les commodités nécessaires. Propre et accueil sympathique. Tout à fait recommandé pour deux personnes (1 enfant en plus éventuellement)

Very Good Flat !

We arrived at the apartment a little late! David us was waiting outside the door of entrance of the building, the building is old with a lift, the apartment is like, David we informed that the apartment was completely refurbished, it is very clean! the sofa disappeared to make room for a bed of very comfortable two-seater, David is a person responsible for these tenants, the location of the apartment is very close to the metro, at the bottom of the apartment! around the apartment you have a lot of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, a foot we have decouvrier walk our Lady, the Museum of the louvre, quartier montorgueil, Opera, place Vendôme, the money price of the flat is really great! I recommend this apartment and thanks again to David

Nice quarter but...

´m starting with the positive things: We arrived and have been very excited about the area. Nice restaurants, shops, bars and stores. The Metro is 200m away. So we were able to go anywhere pretty good. The owner welcomed us and showed us everything. The apartment is in a pretty old house and it´s recognizable. But the apartment itself seemed to be a good deal. The bathroom was clean, but the tiles have seen better times. Now the "negative things": A restaurant is on the groundfloor, so it smelled like Asian food everywhere. Not very nice but acceptable for us. The external wall seemed to be really cold and it seemed that they were damp. Our thought was confirmed with two spots of moldiness in the corners. This might not happen during thesummer, but it´s a no-go for a rental-apartment. Worst thing and the reason why we left the apartment: We had a vistiter during our second night! A RAT! At least one rat was running through the apartment. The communication with the owner was a bit bumpy...(and he´d told us to call if we have any problems, but he never called back, just found some excuses in the beginning through Emails) But finally we got the money for two nights back, he brought it to our hotel and excused for the inconvenience We ´d not recommend this apartment. Ich beginne mit dem Positiven: Wir sind angekommen und waren von dem Viertel begeistert. Tolle Restaurants, Läden, Bars und vieles mehr. Die Metro ist ca. 200m entfernt und man konnte alles schnell erreichen. Der Eigentümer hat uns begrüßt und alles gezeigt. Das Apartment befindet sich in einem recht alten Haus und das merkt man auch. Aber ansonsten schien es gut auszusehen. Das Badezimmer war sauber, aber die Fliesen haben schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Jetzt zum Negativen: Im Erdgeschoss ist ein asiatisches Restaurant und so hat es dort auch gerochen. Nicht schön, aber noch akzeptabel. Die Aussenwand war sehr kalt und wirkte auch feucht. Unser Eindruck wurde durch zwei große Schimmelflecken in den Ecken bestätigt. Dies mag im Sommer nicht passieren, in einem Mietapartment ist dies aber völlig inakzeptabel. Das Schlimmste und der Grund für einen Umzug in ein Hotel war aber, dass wir in der zweiten Nacht Besuch von mind. einer Ratte hatten, die durch das Apartment lief. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war „holprig“, (vor allem hatte er uns bei Problemen gesagt, wir sollen anrufen und er rief nie zurück, sondern meldete sich nur per Email) aber letztendlich haben wir das

Hello, so the apartment is located 30 metres from the metro and not 200 metres! the apartment is a good deal as you can see in the previous comments, your judgement on the Chinese restaurant at the bottom of the apartment has never been a negative point though instead! Regarding the issue of what call you a rat! It wasn't a rat but a mouse that has been eradicated. Unfortunately it is a unique problem to which we could not cope on January 1, 2014 because I had said I was abroad. On the other hand I answered your first e mail on 1 January 2014, in the morning. As we have said we were kind enough to refund you your two nights! So's not to recommend the apartment is not justified, in the light of the 19 previous comments very satisfying! and courteous attitude I had in your regard Kind regards

Nice place in Paris

We stayed at this place for 4 nights last week. The apartment is comfortable for a couple or a small family. Location is perfect and it's easy to get to anywhere in Paris. There are 2 metro stations closeby. Host was very friendly and spent time to suggest some places around the apartment. There are supermarkets closeby and lot of restaurants in the area. David replied to all the queries promptly. Would recommend this place to future guests. Thanks David for your hospitality.

Nice to see Paris again!

This is my second time visiting Paris, and second time to choose to stay in this cozy flat! The most recommendable of it is still the LOCATION! Convenient public transportations including 2 major sub lines are just at the corner, and walking distance to several tourist sights, ex. Louvre, Norte Dame, and Opera Garnier. The condition of the flat is still great, and of course the host, David, is still as kind and helpful as I can remember. :) Looking forward to my third time of visit!

A great place to stay.

First of all the apartment is easy to get to and being greeted by David makes for a smooth transition. The apartment and the amenities are just as described. There are two things that stood out to my wife and I the most. First is that David is a great owner who really cares for the people who rent his apartment. He treated us so well and kind that he has definitely been our favorite person to rent from. Second is the location of the unit. The location might seem sketchy at first, but really it is a safe part of town that is literally in the middle of everything. The metro is a quick moving line that can get you to one side of Paris and back within minutes. Great place to stay.

5 days in Paris

It´s a very nice apartment, perfect for a couple. Walking distance from all the touristic places at Paris. Very clean and well equipped. We spent 5 incredible days at Paris, felt as at home. We definetly reccomend it and would love to come back soon. The owner is very helpful and was kind enough to receive us early in the morning. Merci David.
