Great Get Away

We loved our week in the cabin at Big Canoe! Loved the location to The Clubhouse for golfing and drinks; the hikes were beautiful! Only inconvenience was the trash across the mountain. Looking forward to returning!

Thank you for your kind words and staying with us! We like to recommend a stop for ice cream at Polat Bear Icecream when you head out the North Gate with trash. Not keeping garbage at the homes has kept the many bear families in Big Canoe safe. We appreciate you and hope to see you again. :)

Great Weekend Getaway!

The property was fantastic! Great views of the lake from the deck, living room, and master bedroom. The property was extremely roomy, clean, and tastefully decorated. The host provided a great notebook/resource on Big Canoe and the surrounding area. I look forward to coming back!!

Amazing Gem!

We had an incredibly and relaxing time at our Big Canoe getaway and I would highly recommend this property for its view and easy of rental! The master bathroom is also incredible and it’s the perfect spot to get away and relax!

Loved Big Canoe and this property!!

First time for us in this area. We all had so much fun. Six of us in the cabin with plenty of room. Loved waking up in the morning to the beautiful view of the water in the golf course. We plan to visit again!

Excellent location with great view of lake. Next to golf club. A lot of great touches that indicate they care about your stay. Everything necessary to cook. Will definitely rent again.

Nice location

Big Canoe is a great area with plenty of amenities, although for a fee if you want to use pool, beach, etc. The property had a great view of the golf course and lake. It was right next to the club house so that was convenient. We did have some issues during our stay, which the managing company took care of in a timely manner. Not sure we would return to this property, but enjoyed our time while there.

Family Getaway

My family stayed at Lakeview Bliss for a week. We had plenty of space for the five of us and our three cousins who stayed with us for a few days. We also brought our two dogs. The owners were very quick when responding to questions throughout the trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the view from the deck each morning with my book and coffee. We found plenty of things to do in Big Canoe and the surrounding areas, as well as plenty of time to relax. Thank you for your hospitality, we would love to come back soon.

Get away

Big Canoe is a great area to get away with friends and family. Outdoors ( Hiking, swimming, boating, fishing) and games is the theme for our family. We had 8 in out rental with 12 more in other units. Because if the size, Ours was the focal point for meals and games. Ellijay, Helen and Dalonagah (sorry for spelling) are all within driving distance for day trips. We didn’t play this year because if rain, but the golf courses on property are fantastic.

Lakeview Bliss

Very nice view. Cleaner than most that we have rented before. Microwave turntable would not work. Think it was missing a part and glass plate was too large for micro. Very puzzled as to why washer and dryer was on second floor instead of in closet in kitchen that was plumbed for them. Kitchen was very well stocked, much better than other units we have rented before. We were unable to understand how the tv worked. Sunroom was great and also the deck.

Change in Listing from When I Booked

When we booked this property, it showed having a bunk bed and another bed upstairs in the loft. When we arrived, there were no bunkbeds, that we had planned on. I was told they were getting ready to upgrade the property. The listing still showed the bunkbeds. They gave us a small discount on the stay, but I will never rent any property this Management company has. The whirlpool tub only had 1 working jet. The good, the shower in the master bath was incredible. Large kitchen table with plenty of room. Great view over a fairway and into one of the lakes.

We are sorry about the mix up on the bunk bed, it is listed in the description but the picture does show the original set up so people can get a feel for the room. The pictures are about to be retaken and we notify each guest to confirm that they have seen the description and that the layout works for them. Good news, the jets on the tub are all working. Gorgeous cabin/perfect location

We truly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous clean cabin in Big Canoe. It is situated in a perfect location in Big Canoe, walking distance to the clubhouse and to one of the walking trails near the clubhouse. And of course, the golf course. It is great because you get mountain and lake views without having to drive all the way up the mountain. We worked the entire week- so it was lovely with plenty of space for two people to work. My laptop on the dining table with a view and also there is another table in the master you can set up another computer and there is a couch also with a view out to the lake through sliders. Secure Wifi worked perfectly all week with no issues. After the work day, plenty of time to go outside and walk over to the clubhouse for a drink or dinner al fresco or drive out to explore around Big Canoe and Jasper. Of note though: only one tv in main area, which was fine for us as we were two people watching same shows. Also, no cable but streaming and Netflix available. If you have a larger party or like to watch tv in your rooms at night, this cabin only has a TV in the living area. I hope to return to this cabin one day. I am telling friends as well about it as I think they would enjoy it:-). And Kudos to the owners for making it dog friendly-one of the few cabins I found in Big Canoe that is dog friendly. Although Big Canoes does not allow dogs in the clubhouse, you can go in order your meal and drinks and take out and sit outside on these lake/mountain front tables near the golf shop-even better view and you feel like you have the whole place to yourself at sunset!

BEWARE!

I strongly recommend NOT booking this listing! First, the property description is NOT at all accurate. There are NOT 3 bedrooms. There are 2 bedrooms that are closed off and a LOFT that is open. This listing should say: 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, Loft with 2 beds that are on the floor. Don't book this if you have little ones because they will not sleep well in that loft! There are no curtains in the loft and it's bright! It has nothing to drown out the downstairs noise. They did do some renovations. The master bathroom is AMAZING! That is the only 5 star I would give. Some of the kitchen cabinets were needing adjusted. All of the doors in the home do not shut all the way. The space is comfortable. It's open and bright. The kitchen is extremely functional. The deck is amazing. The view is spectacular! You need to know that you are not allowed to have more than 7 guests during the day! You cannot have a party of just about any kind. When I was asking about having a brunch, which is in the time allotted for noise, they specifically told me we needed to have a 'QUIET GATHERING." They charge a $150 cleaning, then ask you to do strip the beds and start a load of laundry. We had dirty dishes in the cabinets where someone didn't start the dishwasher. Never again! This is the first rental on VRBO that has been a total disappointment!
