Located in the Laurel Ridge area, Paradise View is within walking distance of the Chapel, tennis facility, fitness center, swimming lake, beach, and natural water slide. Managed by Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia, this cottage provides a peaceful getaway to Big Canoe.

Living Space
The main floor features a queen master bedroom with a private bath, a great room with a fireplace that opens to the eating area, and a fully furnished kitchen. Two decks and a large screened porch offer fabulous views of the mountains and Lake Disharoon.

Beds & Bathrooms
The cottage has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Downstairs, there are two bedrooms (one with two twin beds and one with a queen bed) sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom, and a large playroom. Upstairs, a bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom is accompanied by a loft area office equipped with Wi-Fi. Relax on the lower deck’s huge swing with a view of the lake.

Paradise in the Mountains

The area was beautiful, loved the hiking trails, saw several falls. The home was lovely & had many fun areas to “hang” if we needed some space.

Perfect in Every Way

We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It's well-appointed, feels very homey, has a great view, in a great location. The house was spotless and shockingly large for the price. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Nice House for Our Big Canoe Family Reunion

My family really enjoyed staying at this home during our family reunion in Big Canoe! The home was in a great location and it had everything that we needed for the weekend. The house was exactly as described and it's close to all the great amenities at Big Canoe. We would definitely stay at this home again.

Great for Large Group!

We have been coming to Big Canoe for the last 5 years and this was our favorite place we have stayed. It is a clean and spacious home in a great location. David and his team provided top notch service and communication from the booking to our check out. We made good memories playing games and talking on the porches!

The property is large and well equipped. It would be nice to have more than 1 bath towel per bathroom. We were only there to sleep.

Enjoyed the Fireplace

This pretty home is in a more residential area with homes closer together than those we have rented in the past. It was cold so not so much an issue since we weren't using porch or deck. Always love the area and small surrounding towns. Would love king beds in two main bedrooms!

Lovely property

Nice furnishings, very comfortable bed, and lots of cookware. Ample room for a large group with spaces for separation. The only criticism was that, other than the screened in porch that overlooked an air conditioner that ran constantly, there was no place for a group larger than 5 to gather. Other than that, lovely property and we enjoyed our stay.

Paradise View

For my family and friends who were in Big Canoe to attend a wedding, Paradise View was an excellent location. We were close to the chapel, club house, restaurant and other places of interest. A shopping center, including an IGA grocery store, gas station and other shops was just a few minutes away. Paradise View itself was perfect for our needs. I have no negative comments about the property. I would not hesitate to use the property again, or recommend it to my friends.

Excellent layout for families

There were five of us and each group (my husband and me, my sister and niece, my 91 yr old mother) essentially had a bedroom suite on each floor. We took our two 8 mo old puppies and had lots of room in the loft for their pen with crate inside for them to sleep, and another pen downstairs in the living room. We felt at home, especially enjoying the gas log fireplace on the cold nights. All beds were comfortable. We highly recommend this home. The homes are all close together and parking is tight but worked well for our car and minivan. 👍

Wedding Party

We had a really good time except for the weather. Unfortunately the bride and groom chose all outdoor events and we older folks shivered throughout. Our house was great but for two slips: the toilet tissue holder in the master bathroom fell off the wall, and, we killed several roaches on the kitchen counter and one got away from us and disappeared down the living room register.

Thank you for staying with us and your kind feedback. The house team has reattached the toilet paper holder. This beautiful home is under regular care with Arrow Exterminators. This home does not typically have any issues in this area. Palmetto Bugs which look similar are in the area due to the lake just behind, they are attracted to water and generally not an issue. A full retreatment was done and Arrow monitors this home regularly with equipment which will detect a live bug and then treat. We are sorry about the rain and appreciate you as a guest.
