The room was nice, clean and easily accessed. The AC would not cool the room as desired, but it was tolerable. Coffee maker provided, but no water to add, so that would have been a nice thing to have. Only had one extra towel for the week, so additional linens also would have been nice. Lastly, walls are paper-thin, apparently, we could hear everything from our neighbors.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the clean, comfortable room and easy access. Our professional housekeeping team takes great pride in keeping everything fresh and welcoming. Charleston tap water is safe to drink, so we hope that helps for future stays. We’re also happy to drop off extra towels or linens during your stay if we had known you needed them. We’re sorry the AC wasn’t cooling as much as desired and that the thin walls allowed more neighbor noise than expected. We appreciate you sharing these details and hope to welcome you back!

Room and location were fantastic! It felt a little small after we had stayed for a day in the spacious 205 room! But over all it was fine! Bed was so comfortable! We will stay there again if given the chance

Fantastic!

What a fantastic getaway! The fire tower studio is just the right size for couples. Its location is super convenient, with easy access to all the excitement of downtown Charleston, plus a budget-friendly Lyft ride to the edges of town. The price was definitely the best value downtown. We really enjoyed having a private porch—perfect for sipping coffee in the morning. The shared rooftop terrace was an absolute highlight, offering beautiful views of the city. We had many lovely evenings there with cocktails, and it felt much cozier than the bustling bars nearby. Just a heads-up, there are a couple of bars close by that stay open until 2 am, but closing the patio door helps minimize the noise. It would be great to have an ice maker in the studio or building and an extra parking spot for easier loading and unloading. Overall, it was an amazing trip! We can't wait to return and stay here again!

Jennie, thank you for the fantastic review! We're so glad to hear that the Fire Tower Studio was the perfect spot for your getaway and that the location worked out so well for your time in Charleston. It sounds like you really took advantage of the private porch and rooftop terrace—those views and cozy evenings with cocktails sound wonderful! We appreciate the heads-up about the nearby bars, and we’re happy to hear that the patio door helped minimize the noise. Your suggestion for an ice maker and an additional parking spot is really helpful, and we’ll definitely look into those for future guests. Come back soon!

This is a first. All of the Vrbo hosts we've had in the past have been exceptional, until this one. This studio is illuminated by lights recessed in the ceiling. The ceiling lights are important because the two very small lamps on nightstands by the bed are wholly inadequate to light the studio. On day one we informed our host that the ceiling lights weren't working. The reply we received stated we should turn the lights off and on and "they should be okay". Our host must have been an IT help desk worker at one time. We did that. It didn't fix the problem. We then told our host that simply turning the lights off and on hadn't fixed the problem. Nevertheless, we were told three separate times by our host on the first day that the light "just needs a little rest". At the end of day one we turned the lights off for the night and left them off all night. When we turned them on in the morning at the start of day two they didn't work, of course. We again told our host of the problem and he said he'd "share this to the team" and "keep us posted". Eight hours later, no repairs and no updates. The morning of day three our host said the technician was scheduled for today. Toward the end of day three the host informed us that the team had been unable to fix the light and he could have lamps dropped off instead. Seven requests for repairs over three days resulted in a belated offer to bring lamps on the afternoon of the last day of our visit. Totally unacceptable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by the lighting issues during your stay. Our team strives to respond promptly to all maintenance concerns, and we regret that our communication fell short in this case. We understand how important proper lighting is, and we’re taking steps to ensure similar situations are handled more efficiently in the future. Kindly note that the light has been fixed for future stays. Your feedback is valuable and will help us improve the guest experience going forward.
