Magnificent Canyon View Home, Pet Friendly, Huge Deck with Hot Tub

Surrounded by towering aspens and Colorado blue spruce this beautifully decorated, comfortable home has 28' aspen t&g vaulted ceilings. The house has been recently remodeled, painted, and decorated with amazing copper kitchen accents. Many local treasures can be found as part of the decor. Enjoy grilling or the hot tub on over 1300 sq ft of deck. This handsome deck has a private southern exposure overlooking hundreds of acres of a pristine canyon. Regular sightings of deer, elk, fox and turkeys occur year round. There are 2 private bedrooms,a loft, and full futon in the main house.The bedrooms have a queen beds. The loft bedroom also has a queen size inflatable mattress upstairs in the loft. This has been the kids favorite place to hang out! The studio has a full bed with a full bath. With owners approval, your pet will have a fenced in outdoor area. The property is not handicap accessible because of stairs. This is an unbelievable vacation rental that has been in the same family over 26 years. This is what some of our recent visitors had to say about the home:

2025 Christmas in the books with the close out being the highlight of our year! Ron was an absolutely wonderful Host and his helpfulness was out of this world! The home was everything and more it was promised to be, plenty of room for our large family! The hot tub was a bonus and was clean and properly working. Ron was great! Awesome communication! We were able to check in early as well. We were 4 adults and our 2 smaller size dogs and we were all very comfortable in this quaint and cozy home.

Great time

We had a good time here. The house is in a good location within Pagosa Lakes and sits on a loop. The loop is very nice to walk around. Lots of deer and turkey. Close to the grocery store and restaurants.

Spectacular!

We had a great time. The property is beautiful, hot tub amazing at night during the winter, and proximity to town and the ski resort is excellent. We all had a wonderful time here.

Beautiful views

My family and I enjoyed staying at this beautiful home! Our host, Ron was easy to reach and responded quickly! We saw all kinds of wildlife, deer, turkeys, and a fox. The views from the deck were beautiful as well. My parents enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck and my children loved the hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect ski adventure!

House was perfect for the six of us, could have fit twice that many into this spacious property. House stayed so warm due to the southern facing windows that let so much light in. Love all the house plants! After skiing at Wolf Creek, we came home and cooked delicious dinners and enjoyed the hot tub. Great kitchen, but the hot tub was the star of the show!! Thank you for having us!!

Christmas in Pagosa Springs

Ron met us out at the property and showed us around. This helped us out by not having to discover everything on our own. It is a beautiful location overlooking a forested valley only a few minutes from town. We stayed over Christmas and he was nice enough to set up a tree for us. Kitchen is fully stocked with spices. The hot tub and barbecue area made the property even better. Highly recommend.

Great Spring Break

It had been noted that check-in was at 4:00 pm. Ron contacted us and told us that it would be ready at noon and that we could meet him then and go ahead and check in. He was gracious in giving a tour and answering all of our questions. The home was spacious and met all of our needs. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, lounging in the living room watching TV, and soaking in the hot tub after skiing. Saw lots of turkey and deer too. We enjoyed our trip and the location, and would definitely return in the futures.

Cozy and clean

Overall it was great! The house was cozy and clean. The hot tub was amazing! No AC, but if you keep the blinds closed and the doors closed during the day l, it'll help keep the house cool 😁

Wonderful house and great host!

We stayed here with some friends (7 people total) and had just a wonderful time. So clean, organized, terrific view off of the deck, plenty of room. There was nothing better than coming back from a day of skiing and sitting in that hot tub and enjoying the view. We have been renting from VRBO for years and this is one of the best that we have stayed in. Ron (the owner) was a pleasure to work with and attended to everything we needed. We hope to come back next year!

Couldn’t have been better

Our stay couldn’t have been better. The layout of the property along with the mountain and creek views made every moment enjoyable. The indoor fireplace, well stocked kitchen, our door grill, hot tub and comfortable beds were some of our favorite things about the property. But our absolute favorite was sitting on the back porch listening to the birds sing, ducks and geese splash in the stream, and wild turkeys walk by.

Wonderful cabin with fantastic deck view

This was a great place for us to stay with our sister, brother-in-law and two kids. The cabin was warm and inviting. The location was within easy reach (less than a few miles) from all the places we wanted to see in Pagosa Springs. Ron was a wonderful host, very friendly, and kept great communication. The deck and views from the hot tube were really special. They were the icing on the cake. We will definitely book again.

Great place, quiet neighborhood, nice location

Stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. Nice location- close to necessities. Also good home base for the activities of Pagosa Springs. Loved the hot tub and large deck. Very good communication from the owner. No master suite unless you are in the apartment. There is a shared upstairs full bath for the bedrooms. Great bedsheets and towels. Thank you for opening your home!

Couldn’t have asked for anything better

We booked our stay over Christmas. The homeowner was great with his communication and check in with smooth. Upon arrival, the homeowner at set up a Christmas tree and left a box of ornaments just for us to decorate. This little touch made a big difference. The house had plenty of room for everybody, the loft in one of the secondary bedrooms was a cool touch. There is a apartment/Inlaw suite attached to this house that is perfect for older people or younger people to stay with the family, but still have plenty of privacy. Hot tub was perfect! Only a short drive from downtown. About 40 min drive to Wolf Creek ski area. Would definitely stay here again!

Disappointed

We Rented property for wedding on the mountain. Owner is friendly. The pictures of the property are dated. The master bedroom located downstairs was locked. 8 people skeep upstairs and share one full bath upstairs and a half bath in the downstairs’ laundry room…difficult for everyone to get ready. The full bath upstairs has a 2 step up and step down into a jacuzzi tub - difficult for my parents. Full bath has a floorboard heater that smelled & did not work. There is another room located outside the house (mother-in-law suite) that sleeps 2 with a full bath. We love dogs but the house had a strong urine smell. Carpets must be cleaned. We bought plugs ins and fabreeze to make thru the week. No use of 3 garages. Back porch and hot tub were fantastic! We missed the outdoor heater that was shown in Listing. Kitchen was good but refrigerator freezer caused freezer burn within a day. Loved the living room gas wood burning stove! House was warm during snow storm. Property needs deep clean, love and attention. I have never given less than 5 stars in all my previous stays.

Relief from the summer heat

We had a great time. Ron’s place is definitely a perfect spot for family or friends to vacation. The house was very well equipped. The deck overlooked an open space and the area was very quiet. The hot tub was nice to relax after a fun day around Pagosa.

All Around Great Experience

Exactly what we needed for our 30 day getaway from the Texas heat. Clean spacious house with everything. The hot tub and deck was perfect. For a small neighborhood fee, we were able to fish and use the recreation center. We plan on coming back next summer.

Family Ski Spring Break

Everything is conveniently located to the house. The homeowner was fantastic. The amount of wildlife around the house was surprising. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent property

I cannot say enough about this property. Everything was excellent, communications with the property manager was excellent. All in all, if I find myself back in the area I will adjust my time line in order to stay here again.

Lovely home. Beautiful view. Perfect location. Terrific host.

We just spent a month at this wonderful property and couldn't have asked for anything better. Ron is such a nice person and was very helpful with making us feel at home and was prompt at answering any questions we had during our stay. The house is lovely, clean and very comfortable. We also liked the fact that the neighborhood is very quiet so you feel quite secluded on the back deck but at the same time you only have to drive 5-10 minutes an can be on a variety of hiking trails or be at the supermarket or a variety of restaurants. We definitely would stay at Ron's property again. It was terrific in all respects.

Ron was a very hospital host and was easy to reach if needed. The property was spacious& beautiful!

We had a fabulous time and will definitely come back. The house was stocked with everything we needed and fit our family perfectly. We loved the hot tub in the evening after exploring Pagosa.
