I even advised you in advance that if you encountered any issues upon arrival, you were welcome to call or text me directly, as the VRBO messaging app sometimes delays notifications. This was to ensure you had immediate support if needed. On the evening of your arrival, you sent a message through the app around 8:00 PM, stating that you did not see the lockbox and there were no lights. I responded approximately an hour later, as soon as the message came through. However, you never followed up by phone or text, nor did you attempt to reach me through the faster contact methods I had provided. Instead, you chose to leave the property and file a complaint with VRBO. When VRBO asked for photos of your location, none were provided from your end. Unfortunately, had you sent even one image or called me directly, it would have become immediately clear that you were not at the correct property. There are active lights surrounding the home, the grounds are maintained, and there were no trash bags or overgrowth. What you described matched a neighbor's property further down the road — not the one you booked. I later provided VRBO with photos clearly showing the lockbox positioned directly on the front door, easily visible and accessible. Again, had you been at the correct location, it would have been apparent. I’m truly sorry that your experience turned out the way it did. However, clear and timely communication is key, and I made every effort to remain accessible to ensure a smooth check-in. I genuinely wish you had reached out when you arrived — we could have quickly resolved the confusion.
