Independent 8 people house in Chorio, Sikinos island, Kyclades islands, Greece

The house is a modern construction, built in 2004. But the neighborhood is very old with the houses around being built after 1750 and through 18th and 19th centuries.
It is located at an extremely nice spot in Sikinos Chorio, with a superb view of the southern, northern and western Kyklades islands. The sunset from the very house is compatible to Santorini's! The house can host easily 7 people (or even more in transported beds, with a small extra cost)
Two bedrooms (a triple with a double and a single bed and a double with double bed and a baby bed) with independent balconies with a lovely view of Sikinos Kastro and the surrounding islands , one bathroom, a wc, fully equiped large kitchen with washing machine, large living room with two large "built couches" that can be used for beds, and a fireplace.
There are two big yards, facing northeast and southeast, suitable for a very large company of people. There's a bbq in the garden by the "Santorini yard".
Also there's a small yard in the west that has the shade of a large almond tree in the mornings.
All these guarantee that you'll have a yard to chill in every hour of the day under any wind!

There's a very large roof terrace with also built couches with an unbelievable view of almost 300 degrees! Υou can see Folegandros, Milos, Kimolos, Polyegos, Sifnos, Serifos, Kythnos, Kea, Despotiko, Antiparos, Paros, Naxos, Ios, Anafi, Thirasia and Santorini! (during very clear days you can see as far as Syros and Tinos. Also at very clear nights the sky in the north is glowing back the lights from... Athens!)!
And that sunset... Imagine a dinner under the clear blue sky looking at the sun setting in the sea or behind Kimolos island! Plus the unimaginative view of the sky and the Milky Way at moonless nights as there is no "light pollution" up there.

The house will be all yours during your stay. Someone of course will take care in case you need anything!

From the house you can start walking on footpaths that lead you to every place of the island!
In the back of the house there's a field that will may be cultivated. There's a chance you'll have the local cucumber and string beans and unwatered tomatoes right there, to pick and eat. Also a large fig tree gives away its lovely fruits...

The house is at 300m alt.
Right next to the house there is no other building but an old aqueduct where there is a transmitter antenna of the island's free wifi!
But don't think you'll be remoted. There are houses around, built about 250 years ago and all of them are restored. Even if they are home to visitors by the time you'll be here, you won't suffer any noise Oh, maybe someone playing a bouzouki on a lazy afternoon (still haven't spotted who this lovely musician is!)
You are practically on your own in the neighborhood as you are... higher than all the rest!

There are no roads inside Chorio, no shops and no traffic. Just narrow footpaths and beautiful houses. You can park at 50m from the house and there are about 30 steps up to it. Parking space is not reserved but it's usually plenty exept mid August but still you'll leave your car some meters down the road.
If you don't have a car or bike, there's a rental office on the island or you can move around by bus. To get to the island, you take a boat from Santorini via Ios (2 hrs), or from Piraeus via various Islands (8.30 hrs). Also you can come from other Kyklades islands such Paros, Naxos, Mykonos via Ios or directly every Friday. The closest international airport is Santorini's and Naxos'

All day and nightlife is at the other, the lower part of Sikinos Village, the Castle (= Kastro). It's one minute by car but, hey, change your life a bit, walk there, it's only some dozens of steps! ;)
