Recently renovated (2016), fully equipped house with amazing views of the ancient Skarkos city, ideal for families with 2 kids, 5 minutes walk from the center of Chora, directly accessible by car in a quiet neighborhood.

The villa has an amazing view of the ancient Skarkos city. The roof terrace offers magnificent views to the Chora churches and the Mills.

The villa consists of a 25sq.m. living room - master bedroom, a separate kitchen, dining room, bathroom and a second bedroom with a bunk bed for the kids. The roof is accessible by a spiral staircase.

Villa Vorino is located in a quiet part of Chora. This makes it ideal for families and mature couples that need to stay away from the noise of Chora but can direct access it by feet in 5 minutes.

Getting Around

The villa is very easy accessible by car / motorcycle. There are 2 free parking areas within 15 meters from the villa. The center of Chora and the Mills are 5 minutes walk from the property.

We complimentary offer to all our guests Greek wine & spirits , Nespresso or Illy cafe coffee capsules, local honey for breakfast, local cheese, fresh bread, Greek extra virgin olive oil and bottled water.

Loved Ios, villa needs some TLC

Villa Vorino was an ok stay for our needs. Yiannis the owner was very friendly, met us at the port when we arrived. He sat with us and gave us great suggestions of restaurants and beaches. Yiannis himself was friendly and business like, and his personality, the location of the apartment and available parking were probably the best things about the stay. Of course the size of the apartment is visible in the photos and they are authentic to what you see in person. The kitchen has very small working space, the bathroom is tiny even by European standards, and the bedroom with the bunk beds has enough room to get dressed but not move around much. The lower bunk bed mattress could definitely use replacement. I don’t know about the top bunk. The pillows as well were either too firm or too flat. But the queen bed in the living room area was comfortable for my parents and they slept well. The couch and dining chair in the living room were enough seating for us, but if there was a fourth person, the living room would’ve been too small. There are 2 A/C units in the apartment, one that blows toward the kitchen table/front door and the other that blows toward the couch. The good thing is that neither is blowing directly onto the beds, but there’s no A/C in the bunkbed bedroom – and there was a floor fan there. It was hot at night, even with the fan running. Also, I went to move the fan and the top came off – this needs replacing. Even though the apartment is located in the city near the bars and clubs, you could not hear the music at night, which was wonderful. Location wise, it’s situated at the base of about 20+ stairs that lead to a parking area where you can leave your car (though a local asked me to move ours, and I told him I was told I could park here). There are some improvements that I would suggest: The house needed to be cleaned immediately before our stay. It’s very windy in the Cyclades, so the minute you open the door dust will come in, so I understand the issues there, but there were cobwebs in the corners. The hair dryer didn’t blow hot air, and should be replaced. There are two wooden ‘beach’ chairs on the roof. One of the chairs was broken sadly. I contacted Yiannis and he was willing to have it repaired, but IMO it shouldn’t be broken in the first place, and you definitely need cushions to put on them. Also, since the house sleeps 4, there should’ve been 4 loungers on the roof, not 2. All in all, our stay was an average experience.

Most wonderful stay on our entire trip

We stayed three nights in this lovely villa. The owner picked us up and provided plenty of information regarding Ios. It is really a beautiful modern villa. The place was absolutely stunning and relaxing. You have all the necessary amenities for your entire stay. Moreover, the location for us, was perfect. The place is tranquil, and you can here the goats' bells in the morning. The best part, you also have easy access to the local restaurants and grocery stores. In my opinion, we picked the best place to stay in Ios.

fantastic vacation

Villa Vorino is a beautiful traditional house perfectly restored and very fully equipped where we enjoyed a sophisticated and authentic aegean atmosphere. It is located in the most quiet part of the IOS Chora, very close to all you need (supermarket Restaurants Lounge bars and so on) and to the fantastic IOS beaches. Close to the ancient mills with a lot of parking possibilities around and with a view up the archeological site of Skarkos. We will also thanks the host Yiannis for the high level of the accommodation, for his availability and kindness and for his precious tips that have increased the quality of our vacation. A place to visit another time for sure and to suggest to all who wants to have an exclusive experience in IOS.

casa molto curata nei dettagli e tranquilla nonostante a pochi metri dal centro di Chora

Difficile trovare una casa così curata nei più minimi dettagli. Nel mobilio e in tutte le necessità di una famiglia. I più sinceri complimenti a Yannis per come l'ha ristrutturata e organizzata.

Fabuleux

Je viens de passer 12 jours merveilleux à Ios dans la Villa Vorino de Yiannis. Architecte de son métier, il a complètement reconstruit cette maison pour notre plus grand plaisir. Demandez lui les photos "Avant-Après"! Tout est extrêmement soigné tout en étant très confortable. Le réveil du matin avec l’ouverture des volets intérieurs est un émerveillement puisque vous plongez (littéralement) dans la vallée compte tenu de la taille des fenêtres. Idéalement placée puisque la villa est dans le village, très au calme, aucune nuisance sonore, avec un emplacement de parking réservé ou l’accès rapide aux différents parking des Mills: c’est parfait. Mes grands ados ont aussi apprécié la terrasse pour s’isoler.
