1940s Old Keys Fishing Cottage with dockage available. Large Waterfront property and walking distance to world famous Lorelei Cabana Bar & Restaurant as well as local breweries too ! This 1940s original Keys Fishing Cottage is not fancy, as the ad's photos show, but in great location and has everything you need for a great Islamorada getaway. We can arrange custom days of stay if you are booking a sunset/sandbar/fishing charter with our family. Enjoy the peace and privacy of the large, natural waters edge property with the convenience of being minutes away from some of the best dining and outdoor activities in the Florida Keys. Dockage is available on site for additional charge with free trailer storage. Relax in our 1940's "Old Florida Keys" style cottage which is updated while still maintaining its original look and feel ~ Original open beam ceilings and hard wood floors. Wi-Fi . Central air. King size bed in bedroom. There is one bath with original 1940s tile on walls, laundry area with full size washer and dryer. There is a second room that offers a desk for remote work and sitting area as well. We want you to enjoy your experience in the beautiful Florida Keys !! We are lifetime residents and our children born and raised here as well. This property is located conveniently within walking distance or at most ,less than half a mile to most Islamorada restaurants and local breweries. Kayak rentals and paddleboard rental is available for delivery to property. Great area for kayaking and paddle boarding. Launch right from water's edge of property. Please contact me prior to booking with any questions as I always want to make sure that the cottage is a good fit for prospective renters. Dockage is available at property for up to 35' boat for a fee of $50 per day with free trailer parking on premise payable upon arrival. No children please as the property is not fenced along the extensive water frontage and is not suitable. Host was extremely welcoming checked to make sure we would arrive before dark if not she offered to go and cut on the lights. House was adorable, super clean and so many cute touches like string lights on covered patio and timed solar lights that popped on at night great added touches! Location was convenient to restaurants and shops.

Excellent time in Islamorada! Home was perfect! Clean home with all the necessities included! Owner, Jackie, was very attentive and a pleasure to work with. We were able to ride our bikes to local restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommend!

Jackie is wonderful to work with and the property is as advertised. It is in a beautiful location on the gulf with a private dock. It has a nice kitchen and was very clean. We had a great time!

This was an amazing gem we found! If you are looking to spend time in Islamarada, this was a perfect adorable little home! We were close to everything and the home was private and right off the water. We were able to walk to a cool restaurant and bar as well as boarding a boat to snorkel and go out to Islamarada s sand bar. The kitchen was stocked, the home was clean and the communication amazing from the owner. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a well needed getaway!!

We stayed for a week and wished we could have stayed longer! We loved the house, location and Jackie was great with communication. We paddle-board, so we could easily drop our boards in the water and reach some great areas. We could walk to restaurants, brewery, grocery store and museums, only a few times did we drive and then it was only a few miles to what we needed. House was awesome! Hopefully the next time we are in the area it is available. We would not hesitate to book again.

Perfect little hideaway

This house was perfect for our week getaway. Jackie has stocked the house with everything you will need during your stay. The house is very clean and well taken care of. I love that is away from the highway, it's very quiet and peaceful. We loved to sit outside and watch the sunset in the evening. We will definitely go back!

Islamorada Stay

We had such a wonderful time during our short stay in Islamorada. Over the years we have been to Islamorada many times and have stayed at many different places, and this was by far our favorite! Very relaxing and spectacular sunsets!

Location, Clean, Communication

We have a lovely stay and plan to book again! This booking is a great value and we were delighted they allow small dogs! The house is immaculate- right on the water with a dock, was very clean, well maintained, and has everything you could need for a stay (grill, cooking supplies, extra blankets, etc). Jackie the host was incredibly sweet and responsive. Thanks for everything, be back soon!

Birthday getaway

I wish I could give the property and Jackie the host a 10 star review. Everything was exactly as described. We had to cut our stay a little short because of our dog having separation anxiety at the dog sitters. Kitchen well stocked with coffee, spices,oil etc. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in the Keys. Fishing was great, Turtle Hospital worthy of a visit and a plethora of fantastic restaurants . Best VRBO experience we have ever had.

A Dream Getaway for Our 30th Anniversary

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our 30th anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the classic 1940s Keys-style home—full of character, charm, and comfort. It’s beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated, with all the modern amenities while still preserving the old-Florida vibe we were hoping for.The location was ideal—peaceful, private, and with more than enough space between us and the neighbors to truly relax. The property was a dream for boating: easy water access, calm surroundings, and stunning views. We spent our days on the water and our evenings soaking in the quiet tropical atmosphere.Our hosts were absolutely wonderful—kind, responsive, and thoughtful. They clearly care deeply about the home and the experience of their guests. Every detail was well considered, from the local touches in the decor to the helpful area recommendations they provided.Islamorada itself is paradise, and staying here made it even more special. We made unforgettable memories and are already dreaming of coming back. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful, and authentic Keys experience, this is the place.

Fishing/get away

was a fishing trip for me my wife was working, the house was awesome and sunsets incredible. Walking distance to many places and short drive to all the hot spots. Jackie and Timothy could not have been better host and good people. Definitely will return!!!

anniversary getaway

We had a great time during our stay, communication with the owner was easy, the house was spotless on arrival, exactly what we were looking for - beachy Florida home, the yard was very large, and set back from the quiet street. We saw many reef fish in the water at the edge of the property! there are 2 docks, plenty of parking space, and an easy short walk to Lorelei restaurant- great food and drinks! Walking distance to many other things also. We would love to stay here again!

Dream Rental

There are no words that can express how wonderful is this house. Immaculate! Communication with Jackie is almost instantaneous. We loved the landscaping and the views from the patio and piers. Enjoying the sunsets every night added to our pleasure. We will definitely be back.

Delightful oasis

The cottage was roomy and super clean. There are several places to enjoy sitting outdoors and it was super easy to drop a kayak in and enjoy a paddle. The location couldn’t be more convenient, lots within walking and biking distance. Neighbors are around but the property is quite big and there are nice privacy barriers so while close to everything, it feels private. Jackie was lovely to work with, checked in and made sure everything was good at just the right times. This one is an easy decision, you’ll have a relaxed and delightful stay!

Perfect Islamorada Escape

Lorelai is a perfect getaway spot that radiates Florida Keys charm. Surprisingly spacious and cozy at the same time with great water views, front row seats to legendary sunsets and a short stroll to waterfront dining with live music most nights. Our host, Jackie, made the stay seamless and the house is well-stocked with everything you'd need to enjoy yourself. Islamorada is a convenient location for a keys road trip adventure - Key West is just a couple hours away and our day trip there was awesome!

Delightful cottage!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this delightful island cottage!! Location is perfect and private!! We enjoyed just sitting on the dock, watching the fish swim the canal, even saw a shark and sweet manatee!! Jackie was the kindest, most accommodating host. We would absolutely love to stay here again!! I would NOT recommend the Lorelei restaurant as they were rude and seemed hassled and annoyed to be there. However, I would HIGHLY recommend Papa Joes at little farther down…the service was the best we’ve experienced in the keys and the food equally as good!! Book this and stay as long as you can!!!
