This was a great place to stay. The location was perfect. It was clean and had everything we needed and then some. The hot tub was a great bonus and it was sparkling clean. The view and the lake were great. The host was quickly responsive and very helpful and informative. I would highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again.

This is a wonderful property. I wanted a peaceful and relaxing trip and that’s exactly what I got. The lake was amazing! The house was so comfortable and had everything I could ever ask for. It’s within short walking distance of an awesome restaurant. Tons of fast food and convenience store options very close. This place is the perfect vacation spot.

The lakefront is beautiful and the fire pit provided many joyful evenings. Two things need to be taken care of. The dishwasher needs to be installed properly as the front two bolts were not attached when the lovely new countertops were installed. The smoke detectors were not reinstalled, perhaps after painting. I would recommend a grab bar and shower mat in the bathtub. The hosts were fantastic. We had an area wide power outage after a severe thunderstorm, and the hosts kindly offered to bring ice and a cooler, but it was unnecessary as the power was back on before it was needed. I can honestly say that the overall vibe is “Charming Old Michigan Cottage”.

This was perfect for a low key moms weekend away. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view. The beds were very comfortable.

Great getaway

This was the perfect stay! Relaxing and peaceful! The home was the perfect size and the view was amazing! The only downfall was the state was too short !

Contacted owner about so many things that were not cleaned, not washed and several repairs needed. Several things broken.We discussed all issue. But if you want a beautiful view this place has one of the best on this lake. I did request at least my cleaning fee back due to me doing their laundry, scrubbing bathroom, cleaning and descaling the coffee pot. Dishwasher is not screwed into counter bottom rack scared me to death rolling out across the floor from unit falling forward. Hot tub had chlorine smell (which is good) but cover is damaged and tub inside is dirty along with sand on bottom (chose not to use).Outside table was broken and down by dock patio area had tons of garbage all around. Wallpaper in kitchen falling off, duct tapped outlet in kitchen, pantry door off track and fell on me when I needed to get trash bags. I have used VRBO for 3 plus years now. Never been in anything like this. I am sorry I have to right bad review, but owners need NEW cleaning crew and property management in my opinion. I have pictures of all of needed.

Quick weekend

Had an event nearby and this was the perfect size for us! We were able to relax in the evening with the hot tub and make dinner at the house. Owners were easy to communicate with if we had questions. Very accommodating!

The cottag itself was very nice, very clean and well stocked. It was nicely decorated and everything worked well. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the hot tub and we did enjoy it.It is somewhat deceptive that the description shows a lake front and dock. However, the lake is not really accessible since there is no entry point and the dock has no ladder. I say that the cottage itself was cute etc. but the grounds were not well attended to. There were large weeds and frass around the pavers and back yard area. The lake had unsightly junk that should been removed. I would suggest that a table with an umbrella would have bee a wonderful addition since the afternoon sun covers the entire area and there is no way to escape it. I also think that plastic glasses would be a great idea since we hesitated to bring glass outside. That being said, we really enjoyed our stay. A few touches that I would have preferred to share with the owner alone would have made this ideal.

Small little little lake cottage. The outside needs some work and general upkeep. Couldn’t really enjoy outside space as it was overtaken by ants and spider mites. The deck stairs leading down to the water and dock is scary and not very safe feeling. It’s definitely dry rotted. I’m disabled and was afraid to hold on to the banister.

Luxury Lake Front

The ad was not totally accurate. I wouldn't consider the property a luxury lake house. More like a lake front cottage. No kayaks available as advertised. The lake frontage was quite junky with overgrown weeds in a rotted boat - eyesore for the lake view. The house was musty smelling. Fireplace not working. The owners were quite responsive in all communications. I would recommend the house, just lower expectations than a luxury house.

Staying at this lake house was quite an experience. Here are the pros and cons of this rental:Pros - Great location, beautiful lake.Hot water, Cold AC. Paddleboards and Kayaks included.Cons -When we arrived, all the linens and towels were wet. We had to spend hours rewashing everything; even the beds that were made had to be stripped and rewashed because they were wet. This isn’t exactly what we wanted to do on our first days of vacation. - The house needs TLC. They had duct-taped outlets on the walls, cabinet doors falling off, etc. - The house was not properly stocked. Upon arrival, there were no paper towels, dish or dishwasher soap, extra toilet paper, or trash bags. I contacted the owner, and she sent most of the items within a couple of hours.- I tried to turn on the oven, and it smelled bad of gas. We used the gas grill, and it almost caught fire. Didn’t look like the owners ever cleaned the grill, so the grease trap caught fire. Very scary!! I had bought a bunch of food I could not cook. We had to go out for every meal.- The paddle boards and kayaks were so wonderful to have. However, it was difficult to get them in and out of the water. They didn’t have a beach or an easy way to get them in or out. It was all rocks.- I left my dress there and was completely ignored when I reached out. After three attempts, I gave up. I offered to pay for shipping; very disappointing!- The water smelled and was orange. Not sure if this is normal for the area.
