This 2-bedroom, 2 bath top floor condo at The Caprice has stunning views for miles! South corner condo in a prime location on St. Pete Beach near all restaurants, shopping and activities that the beach always has to offer! Traditional décor and comfortable furnishings, updated and fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer onsite for use, private balcony that faces the Gulf of Mexico to watch all of our famous sunsets….All of this sitting on miles of white beach to explore!! PLEASE NOTE: This is a non smoking property except in designated areas on grounds.

The Caprice features free WiFi, free parking, a sparkling pool (heated in the winter) with a beautiful sundeck, a nice BBQ area and shuffleboard and shared washer/dryer rooms. Beach volleyball courts are also available right next to the Caprice Resort.

The condo needs updating!!!I don’t believe it has been updated since the 80’s.That condo is not as clean as it should be if the guest are paying a fee of over 300 for a cleaning fee. The other couple that stayed with us took pictures of cabnets falling apart, long black hairs in the bathroom, the shower curtain in the main bathroom kept blowing up against the couple that used it when they were showering and the curtain was gross!!! I guess when the air conditioner kicked on is when it would blow up against them! That’s not even the worse thing…..as we were setting at the dining room table one of the biggest cockroaches I have ever seen came crawling in front of us and before we could kill it the thing crawled under the couch. We moved the couch but it wasn’t under there so my thoughts are it went in the couch!! We will never stay there again!!!

I think we all know we’re paying for the awesome views and access to the beach, in close proximity to nice dining and coffee shops! That did not disappoint!The unit itself could use some TLC—the bathroom exhaust fans were noisy and we needed to vacuum them out for fear they might be fire hazards. The kitchen trash can was cracked—seems like a simple fix, there was no screen in the 5th floor master bedroom window, which meant we mostly kept it closed for safety reasons. One note about other resorts on St Pete’s is that a reasonable amount of cleansers/toiletries are left behind by each guest, which does help when you first arrive. In this case, the unit is advertised as having just a couple dishwasher pods, which was true. Makes me wonder what happens to all the products guests are forced to buy then leave behind. Lastly, the certificate for the elevator in the facility expired in 2024.We did have a good stay, but would not choose this unit again.

While not dirty, this rental is in desperate need of restoration and is very rundown in nearly every facet of the word. The pictures on the listing must be enhanced with AI or extremely old. For example, the condo needs all new furniture, mattresses, appliances, cabinetry, etc. Both of the bathrooms were falling apart and frankly, disgusting. Paint was peeling in every room. Hot water and water pressure were nonexistent. Additionally, the host provided no basic amenities; such as hand soap, cleaning supplies, first aid, paper products, coffee, or sponge (to name a few). We had to pick up a “welcome packet” (a few pieces of paper) at the rental company at 2:30AM after a long day of traveling for seemingly no reason. The packet/parking pass could easily be left in the rental and the info can be sent via text or other means. Additionally, the dressers and closets were all filled with linens and other random items of the host, so there was virtually no room to unpack or store your own items. This made the condo tight and claustrophobic. Do not stay here. This condo is absolutely not worth the price we paid, and I would not recommend or would stay here again. There are cheap motels that provide more comfort and amenities than this condo did. Disappointing and frustrating experience, to say the least. The owners of this place should be absolutely ashamed to host paying guests with the state of their condo.

Location to the beach and beach views from the condo are outstanding! Loved having a balcony! Condo was clean and provided all the essentials. Remember to bring your own shampoo, otherwise you’ll be fully equipped.

All was in great condition but for the toilet in the second bathroom. It wouldnt flush without plunging. We decided to mention it in the review rather than call maintenance.Otherwise we loved it.

1. We were not notified that the beach access from the condo was closed due to beach construction. 2. Sunday - 1st night bulldozer's beeping 24 hours and the rest of the week 6:00 a.m. they started. 3. Condo is needing updates and repairs. I have taken pictures because I have stayed at this Caprice Resort for over 15 years. Main reason we book is that we are on the beach and don't have to walk 4 blocks to get to access. We had asked for extra compensation - host did not respond to email and property management company said he said no. If we knew that this was going on during the stay we would have waited for opted to stay at another location as this is what I am paying for. Very disappointed.

Location is fantastic!!! Close to restaurants and right on the beach however the unit is really dated. The bathrooms are from the 80s, the showerhead barely trickles out. The bed pillows are in need of updating, master closet door is broken and the couch is dirty. For the money there are definitely better units available in the building.

The unit was showing its age in a few places such as the countertops had a big piece of the laminate missing by the dishwasher. I wish there were overhead fans available as we were advised we couldn’t put the AC below 70 and it was much warmer in the bedrooms compared to the living room. We did find box fans in the closet but they were covered in a thick layer of dust and couldn’t be vacuumed off with the vacuum in the unit. The beach was beautiful and we were within walking distance to several restaurants which was really nice.

Pictures are not updated. The resort decking is set up differently than pictured, and there is no shuffleboard. This is a very basic condo, could use some cabinetry and furniture updated. Kind of had a musty smell.

Perfect location

Beautiful beach views, you can walk to most everything you want. The condo is clean albeit in need of a little TLC. Once we figured out how to get the key and parking pass, we were good. Never had a need to contact the property manager. Well appointed kitchen and everything work. Great AC! We would stay here again! Thank you!!!

Needs

Condo in need of paint and minor repairs. Bath mats or anti slip strips needed and closet doors don’t work well. Bathroom cabinets need replaced also with the sinks and drains. The good news is the condo was updated with new furniture and flooring! We did enjoy our stay.

Just what we needed for being at the beach!

The property had a lot of beach supplies/toys, which was great for us since we have two kids and were flying in for the week. There's floaties, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, and coolers that we used every day at the pool and beach. It was great!

Location

Over all it was what I expected except for the listing said hot tub and there was none. The location and view were however excellent. Could use some tender loving care but it suited our needs.

Property was fairly good but the fan in the master bathroom was very loud! Also, the sheets were worn and need to be replaced.
