Visiting this fall? LakeNLogs is the perfect home base for scenic drives, vibrant Upper Peninsula fall colors, cozy evenings around the fire, local wineries, and breathtaking sunrises over Lake Michigan.

Escape to LakeNLogs, our cozy log cabin on the shores of Lake Michigan near Escanaba in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Wake to breathtaking sunrises, relax in nature, and enjoy peaceful mornings, unforgettable sunsets, and the quiet beauty of the U.P. Perfect for couples or small families (up to 4 guests).

Booking Details

• May–August: 7-night stays (Saturday–Saturday)
• September–October: 3-night minimum stays
• Saturday check-ins are preferred due to our housekeeper's schedule. If you need a different check-in day, please message us before booking—we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Please note: Lake Michigan water levels are currently low, so swimming is best enjoyed at beautiful Escanaba Municipal Beach, just 8.7 miles away.

The Space

Welcome to LakeNLogs.

Completed in late 2024, our cozy log cabin is welcoming guests for its first full season in 2026. Nestled among peaceful woodlands on the shores of Lake Michigan, it blends rustic charm with modern comfort.

Slow down, unplug, and enjoy the simple pleasures. Sip your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over Lake Michigan, spend your days exploring the Upper Peninsula, and end your evenings around the fire beneath a sky full of stars. The landscaping has matured beautifully, creating inviting outdoor spaces designed for relaxing and making memories.

• Saturday check-ins are preferred. Need a different arrival day? Just send us a message before booking and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire cabin during their stay.

There is a storage shed on the property reserved for the owners (nothing very exciting in there anyway).

Please note that Lake Michigan water levels are currently low, so direct lake access for swimming and water sports is not available from the property. If swimming is part of your plans, Escanaba Municipal Beach is just 8.7 miles away and offers a beautiful sandy beach with excellent swimming.

The real magic of LakeNLogs is its breathtaking Lake Michigan views, spectacular sunrises, peaceful setting, vibrant fall colors, and the opportunity to truly slow down and relax.

Absolutely magical, pictures of the place are fabulous but it's even better in person, lots of butterflies (it's the start of the annual Monarch migration) and ducks and canadian geese feeding in the water, even saw a bevy of about 10 white swans a couple of days . . the cabin is well equipped for cooking with everything needed for any cooking project, main bedroom was very comfortable with great pillows and sheets, bathroom was great. Sitting outside on the deck or by the firepit was so relaxing and peaceful watching the lake. I am 80 and grew up just down the road when I was a teenager so I really enjoyed being back by the lake. Just a great place overall, was spotlessly clean, a great communicating host and we will definitely be returning to this cabin.

Cute, clean, and everything was explained well and cottage met all of our expectations. Host kept in contact and replied promptly. It had the seclusion we wanted with modern touches for a seamless check-in, stay, and check-out.

The tiny cabin is brand new and was very nice. The bed was very comfortable but the living room furniture was not comfortable to us.Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful cabin getaway

This cabin was absolutely perfect for a week-long retreat. The cabin is clean, tastefully decorated and has everything you need and so much more. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were super soft. The a/c unit in the bedroom, in addition to the one in the main part of the cabin, kept us comfortable and cool. The loft really elevates the cabin with 2 queen beds and cute decor as well. The bathroom was open and bright and the large shower was just what we needed after a full day outside. The kitchen set up allowed us to cook meals with easy and the gas grill was perfect for burgers and steaks. We spent much time on the beautiful front porch relaxing and watching the birds and the lake. It was perfect for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. We also relaxed by the fire pit. The Adirondack chairs were perfect for stargazing.Definitely bring water shoes if you want to go in the lake. Braving the muck is well worth it to get to clear, refreshing water. We also drove about 10 minutes to the beach in Escanaba which had a lifeguard area and plenty of additional beach if you prefer a more quiet time. Kelley was the perfect host. She was attentive, gave us suggestions on places to visit and even delivered a can opener when I told her I didn’t have one. She was easily accessible via text if needed and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay! I would highly recommend this adorable cabin! Thank you Kelley!

Better than advertised! Great view of Lake Michigan with soothing breezes, enhanced by entertaining water bird activity, deer sightings and soaring American Bald Eagles. Spotless cabin with all the amenities imaginable, an amazingly comfortable bed and a backyard firepit (think, Smores). A Foodies delight with a dozen neighboring restaurants serving a wide variety of delicious meals, especially traditional Friday Night Fish Frys. Lots of local musical entertainment available in nearby parks and marina. Golf also available. Owners', Kelley and Dave, treat you like family. Don't miss this one!
