We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend and overall had a great experience. The place was clean, beautiful, and comfortable, and the hosts were very kind, they even let us check out an hour late, which we really appreciated. There are a few things that I think could be improved for future guests. It would have been helpful to have an extra roll of paper towels and some cooking oil available. The bedroom layouts were also quite different. One of the king bedrooms was spacious, beautiful, and had a lovely balcony, while the other king bedroom was much smaller than we expected. My biggest concern was the windows. Since there is no A/C, we needed to keep the windows open because it was warm during our stay. However, none of the windows had screens, which meant bugs could easily get inside.More importantly, this created a safety concern for us with little kids. The place has three levels, and on both the main living level and the upper level, some windows open fully without screens or guards. The upstairs bedroom we stayed in had windows that were very low to the floor, and on the main living level there was also a large, low window that opened without any protection. We spent much of our stay making sure our little ones stayed away from the open windows because we were worried they could accidentally climb through them. Adding window screens (and ideally window guards or opening restrictors where appropriate) would make this place much safer and more comfortable.
