Yellow Beach House

We had a wonderful time in OBX. The home was perfect. Nestled in a quiet spot and close to the beach.. The home was very very clean.. we loved it so much we are booked again for next year.

Nice quaint cottage

The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The only complaint and the reason for the 4 star rating is the furniture in the the living room needs to be more comfortable and up to date. The location is convenient to everything OBX. Parking is good and sutiable for a single vehicle. Key pickup and return was easy.

Great Small Beach House

We loved this small house for our beach vacation. The house was in a perfect spot and very comfortable. It was super clean and easy to be in. We would have liked fewer mosquitoes on the porch, a larger outdoor space and a few more dishes. Otherwise just perfect!

We had a great time as far as location. But the house itself is in need of a few upgrades. One of the TVs didnt work. We had to wash dishes b4 we could cook. Needs some other pots n pans for cooking for a family. And a bigger stove.

While we provide follow-up calls after check-in for each guest, for future guests, please never hesitate to give us a call if you ever encounter any issue during your stay so that we can quickly remedy any problem. We have since replaced the broken TV and will be sending this information to management and the owners for considerations to upgrades for next season. We hope that, aside from these issues, you were able to enjoy all that the area has to offer!

We really liked that the property location was near the beach. The property amenities could have been better. Would have liked to have had a dishwasher,a grill as the stove was small.

Perfect location

Perfect location 3 houses from the beach and 10 min to our favorite fishing location. We were there to fish and relax. The neighborhood is quiet and has nice side walks. Close to everything but out of the hustle and bustle. House has everything you need except washer dryer and I think a gas grill would be a good addition. We would rent again.

Mattresses are old and uncomfortable. Lighting is not good especially in bedrooms and kitchen area. Furniture in living area is hard and dated. Front porch siding and door dirty. Entrance steps for both outside doors are awkward and uneaven.

beach vacay

the photos showed walk out beach access. there were piles of sand that we had to climb to walk over. this was very difficult for me. you also need hand railings to access cottage.

Cottage suitable for 2 people. Two bedrooms - one queen & 2 twin beds ~ one small bath. Clean and functional. We opted to provide our own linens since some reviews indicated the linen service was a bit pricey. Easier to walk down the sidewalk to the very near public beach access where a wooden walkway is provided. Very difficult for older persons to navigate the beach access at the property due to the uphill climb into deep, shifting sand.

Great Location, Unfortunate issue

Bugs. Roaches. Ants. Had to call the realty office to relocate just a day and half into our stay. Thank goodness they were able to accommodate our request to move to a different house last minute. Its a shame because its a very cute house and the location is unbeatable. you could trip out the front door and be on the beach. Quiet area too, so the beach is peaceful. Walkable to certain entertainment areas. We loved everything about the house but literally we could not leave food on any counter or shelf (fridge only) because the bugs were all over it. If they got this issue resolved the house would be a 9 or a 10/10. Not sure if I would gamble on this house again, but I will say, the Realty Company, Cove Realty, was A+ and incredibly supportive, helpful and understanding throughout the whole ordeal. I would absolutely rent thru them again.

They have also signed into a monthly pest control plan to ensure no further problems. We are so sorry for the issues you encountered upon check-in and hope that we can make this up to you in a future stay.
