Nestled in the vacation paradise of Polk County, Wisconsin, this charming cottage has something for everyone. The home is constructed of classic, lodge-stained pine and sits just a few feet from the edge of beautiful Deer Lake - a premier Muskie and recreation lake in Western Wisconsin.

The front of the cottage is lined from end to end with large windows, providing panoramic views of the lake and the gorgeous sunsets that bless its western shores. The interior is wrapped in pine paneling and offers 2 comfortable bedrooms, a master bedroom with fireplace, large living area w/ fireplace, spacious dining area with lake views, and a fully stocked library for those lazy afternoons on the dock.

Great Cabin

Perfect Stay on Deer Lake

This place is a gem. Our family had a wonderful stay on Deer Lake. Bruce and Lisa were wonderful hosts and provided everything we needed for our stay. As someone who grew up on Deer Lake, their cottage provided the perfect opportunity to come back with my two young kids. Thank you for sharing Deer Lake with us!

We stayed 2 weeks at this cottage and enjoyed the clean, comfortable home. The hosts Bruce & Lisa were so nice and helpful. The area has much to offer with wineries, hiking trails, parks and more!

Clean comfortable cottage

Staying at the deer lake cottage was wonderful. Bruce and Lisa have a cozy clean cottage with an great lake view . They are super nice people and we would definitely stay at their cottage again. Would love to have a cottage of my own just like theirs!

Excellent fall get-away

From happy children playing lakeside, to small gatherings of friends, to romantic evenings watching the loons in the fading light of the sunset. A relatively short distance from the bright lights of the city and close to numerous places to adventure, this cottage by the lake is an excellent choice to relax. Lisa and Bruce welcomed us like we were neighborhood friends and helped make our stay stress free.

Perfect get-away

This lakeshore cabin was perfect. It was extremely clean, beautifully appointed and so homey.I spent one entire day fishing from the dock catching an abundance of bluegill and pumpkin seed, and one nice bass. I think I could have gotten more bass but was not particularly fishing for them. Next time I will.The cabin provided a peaceful getaway and had everything we could have needed. Our hosts, Bruce and Lisa, were a delight and it was comforting to have them right next door.There is an excellent grocery store only a few miles away, and a WalMart if that happens to be your flavor.We have already rebooked and look forward to this special place.

Very sweet place to stay.

The property was a perfect place for the 2 of us. It was quiet, immaculately clean, and plenty of room for us to call home for the duration of our trip. King bed in master bedroom, very comfortable. Flat walkout/no steps to the private dock just for this rental was very nice, plenty of room to dock our boat. We stayed during the week so the lake was quiet. Boat launch across the lake was well taken care of. There are some great wineries in the area, specifically Rustic Roots and Dancing Dragonfly. The owners Bruce and Lisa live next door…very unobtrusive. We only met Bruce and he was a very nice man, very enjoyable to talk to. The only minor downside was the Wi-Fi was spotty which made it difficult to watch tv at night. Bruce was aware of it and had been working with their provider to try to correct it.

Deer lake cottage

Stayed at deer lake cottage for an anniversary weekend get away. Absolute wonderful stay! The cottage was amazing! Lisa and Bruce are wonderful hosts! Lots to do in the area. We enjoyed hiking, golf, use of the paddle boat, beautiful sunset, campfire and R&R. Will absolutely recommend to others and hope to be back to enjoy again.

Perfect little cottage!

My husband and I rented this cottage for a long anniversary weekend! It was perfect for what we needed: spacious little cottage for us (or a small family), very clean, fully stocked kitchen supplies, etc. We used the paddle boat to go bass fishing - great lake for bass - we caught 20+ throughout the weekend. Plus a muskie which was the highlight of the weekend for my husband!! The cottage was also perfect location for proximity to wineries, brewery, hiking, golf! Overall, we had a great time!!

Enjoyable time on Deer Lake

We had an amazing time at Deer Lake Cottage. Enjoyed sitting out playing games, watching the boaters, fishing and going to the Wineries and Brewery. Lisa & Bruce were wonderful hosts and their little cottage was perfect. Super cozy and had everything we needed for our week stay. I highly recommend this little gem of a cottage.

Deer Lake Cottage a pleasant experience

The setting of the cabin was very nice-wooded, next to the lake. The cabin is charming-older, but updated. We loved the knotty pine interior (warm and cozy) and the huge, panoramic windows with views of the woods and lake, in all rooms, except the bathroom and kitchen. It was exactly as pictured on the website. The cabin faces west toward the lake, and there are loons, great herons, eagles, deer to be seen. And beautiful sunsets! It's very relaxing. The owners live close by, and are very helpful. Our grandkids had so much fun playing in the water and on the paddle boat. They begged us to come back again next year. And we would like that also. Still have more exploring to do in the St. Croix Falls area.
