Excellent place with wonderful views and super easy access to the beach. Will definitely come back for longer time in next season.

Perfect location, beautiful view!

3 gals and I stayed in the 2 bedroom unit. It was clean, comfortable and we loved our up close ocean view! Curt was always courteous and helpful when needed. We hope to come back. Marcia Mitchell

Ocean view and walking distance to Village

The condo was co for table and clean with a beautiful ocean view. Patio fits 3 comfortably. Beach chairs available as well as shared laundry down one level. Beds comfortable and had extra blankets and beach towels. Suggest switching the queen to the room with the twins and moving a twin next to the King! Great stay and would go back!

Thank you for your kind words. We plan on changing the two twin beds in the second bedroom to a queen, twin bunk bed that should be a better solution. Thank you for your helpful suggestion. We want to make everyone happy;)

Amazing!!!!! Truly amazing!!!

Omg! What an experience. Has to be one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. I wake up every morning wishing I was still here. The owners of this place were wonderful and the condo was gorgeous. We will be back!! Thank you.

Amazing Location

Great Location but the condo lacked a few items. Cooking essentials would great like spices and pot holders. Pillows and bed were ok but not fabulous. Again the location is amazing but things are beginning to need attention and repair. A few shades broken, etc. They were wonderful to deal with so that was a plus!

Beautiful Location

The condo was lovely. Only negative was the unusual bedroom layout. The big bedroom has two queen beds, and the small one had two very small twin beds. We were traveling with adult children. It just didn't work. A queen bed in the small bedroom would have given more options.

We have may families that travel with small children, as well as groups of women for girls trips, and they love the large beds back there. In the future, you can let us know if/when you are coming and we are happy to put the queen bed in the hall bedroom for you.

Amazing views, comfortable condo, fantastic location

This property was the best place we've rented with VBRO so far. It exceeded our expectations. One of the most relaxing vacations ever. When we arrived, we parked the vehicle and only used it once during the week. Everything we needed or wanted was a 5-10 minute walk away. The beach is gorgeous. The patio overlooks it for great people watching. We saw quite a few dolphins. The manager Curt was wonderful. Always available and immediately took care of a couple minor issues with the condo. We will most definitely be back.

Exceeded Expectations

I had seen pictures of this place and read the glowing reviews of the previous renters, most of whom remarked how close it is to the ocean. Having been there myself now, I can say that the pictures don't do this place justice. My daughters and I were blown away by the magnificent views and proximity to the beach (right below our unit). It's a clean sandy beach with a nice mix of families, couples, and retirees. The unit itself was comfortable and spacious. The California king sized bed in the master bedroom was luxurious and quite nice to sleep on. If you're a beach lover, you'll really enjoy this place. We'll be back.

Fall Break

Unfortunately, the pictures online make the property appear very up to date. The condo was not truly remodeled. Bathroom had toilet lid that didn’t even fit toilet, no ac, smelly old carpet, it is in need of a paint job in the worst way, mold on ceiling, rust on vents, all the lamps are rusted from moisture and mildew, front door has a gap you can stick your hand through, bugs came flying and crawling in the door and can’t open a window for air flow no screens. location and property manager Adrian was great but I would not recommend this place for what we paid.

Hi Kari - we are so very sorry to hear that you were not happy with your stay. It is very unusual for our property for anyone to be unhappy, even after we go through a summer of high usage, which is why over 80% of our guests return year after year. Being on the ocean, the salt air does rust things and we replace them often, as well as repaint and upgrade every winter when the season slows down. We do not have screens because guests mainly complain about the view being blocked and it is very rare we get any bugs. Again, being family owned over 30 years we rarely have complaints and are very sorry you were not happy while you were here and tried our best to help you be comfortable to enjoy your stay.

Great Beach Getaway

The location is great and centrally located to a ton of restaurants, bars and shops. The view when you walk in the door is amazing and it looks like you are floating in the middle of the ocean. The fact that they have boogie boards and beach chairs makes life so much easier and the kids spent nine hours a day in the ocean. We could’ve had a better time.

Just perfect! Highly recommend

We truly enjoyed our New Years Getaway. Everything was as advertised and even better. The management team is responsive, kind and on-site everyday. The unit is in a perfect location and the beach is lovely. We live in San Diego, and feel especially lucky to have had this "staycation" . It was a great start to the new year and we'll be back for sure.

Amazing views & location

This condo has wonderful unobstructed views and sits right on the beach, and only two blocks from Carlsbad Village shops and restaurants. The fireplace was super nice and made listening to waves crash extra cozy. Thank you for a great stay!

I am sure that she means "can't" beat the location We are only a block from downtown with at least 25 amazing restaurants and many great shops. We are two blocks from the train that will take you to San Diego or LA and we are directly on the sand. Not across the boulevard or across a parking lot but right there with nothing in front of you for thousands of miles. There are few places like this in Southern California as most beaches are below bluffs and I don't know of another beach town where you are also downtown.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. As far as the dust, we did discuss this with the guest, and we explained that there is always going to be a small amount of dust when you are directly on the ocean. We always check our rooms meticulously, and there is no dust in the rooms to start. We take pride in being on site hosts and always respond to guests complaints asap. If we would of know about the light problems we would of fixed it in 5 minutes.

Amazing place in the heart of Carlsbad

We had a fantastic vacation in Carlsbad. Property was exactly as described. Being right on the beach saved us from having to pack up the car to find a nice beach or walk a few blocks with all the beach stuff in hand. Although we didn't have any issues, it was nice knowing the office was right onsite and property managers are always available by phone. Being right in Carlsbad village, we didn't have to use our vehicle much as almost everything was within walking distance. Looking forward to our next stay at Seashore on the Sand. Thanks Ed and team for the great stay!

Absolutely perfect!

Our new favorite getaway. The location was perfect and everything about the rental was exactly what we were looking to relax. The decor and design was impeccable and clean. We loved sitting on the coach watching and listening to the waves. There isn't a better place to watch the sunsets over the ocean. We are already making plans to go back and stay longer.

2nd visit was even better than the 1st!!!!

Seashore on the Sand has done renovations since our last visit 2 years ago. I will tell you -- it was amazing before, but even better now. We stayed in a 2 BR unit and had the most amazing view of the ocean. Many nights I sat on my balcony and watched the sunset. It was by far my favorite time of day. I would encourage you to consider this property. Ed and Lisa were amazing hosts and took care of anything we needed which was not much given the condo was well stocked. I strongly recommend Seashore on the Sand!

Home away from home

We have been staying at Seashore off and on for about 18 years. It is a home away from home for us. Obviously, staying right on the beach is amazing for the views and the easy access back and forth to the beach, but we also love that we can walk almost everywhere to get food and shopping. We will be back.

Nice space, convenient location

I stayed at Seashore by the Sand with my son for a week over spring break, it is a nice home base to come back to after long days on the beach or out at Legoland. It was so nice to wake up every morning, sit on the patio, and watch the waves come in. The unit was in good condition, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It is also close to the main strip of Carlsbad, so it was easy to walk the village.

Quite lovely!

We were just at Seashore on the Sand for Thanksgiving (Nov. , 2016) and found it a lovely place to have Thanksgiving dinner for 6 people. The rooms are decorated with a light beach feel and the view and access to the beach and ocean couldn't be better. We were on the fourth floor and, you do need to walk down three sets of stairs. The sun sets at this time of year, right of the porch. We definitely hope to come again. We had our 5 year old grand daughter stay with us and she loved it. Lucy and Bob

SEASHORE ON THE SAND is an unusually well maintained, clean, quiet and beautiful property just five steps from the sand with private beach access through the center of the building and only a block from the downtown village area of Carlsbad. You will enjoy views of the waves breaking on shore and thrill to dolphins surfing the waves along side the surfers and paddle boarders. In season, whales can be seen just off shore. Green flashes are seen on clear days and are like a good night kiss from above.
