Welcome to this spacious and private mid-century modern home in the peaceful NW neighborhood of Crestwood. Featuring an expansive backyard with 40’ inground heated swimming pool, and connected deck for grilling & lounging. We are a 5-minute walk to Rock Creek Park’s nature trails and Rock Creek’s professional tennis center. The house is ideally located as a peaceful retreat, but also just a 2-minute walk to the S2 16th Street bus line - a 15-minute ride straight down to the White House, museums and monuments. 2 metros are a quick 5 to 10-minute Uber ride or drive. The property enjoys plenty of free street parking with no zone restrictions.

This 3-level creative and colorfully decorated home features 4 bedrooms & 2.5 baths. Enter the home through a foyer outlined with rich original crown moldings. Your living spaces are presented as open and connected, with each retaining its unique functionality. A family room to the left draws you to the comfortably massive sofa and theater recliner perfect for movie nights. A large flat screen offers endless Fios cable TV, movie channels, and smart TV options for everyone. A cozy living room to the right boasts a luxurious seating arrangement and fireplace, with books & vinyl records complemented by an immersive audio system. Need some action? Step out to the porch ping pong room to crown a vacation champion! Once you’ve worked up an appetite, prepare dinner in your modern fully-stocked kitchen and enjoy the adjacent dining room framed with floor to ceiling sliding doors that access your deck and pool area. If you’d prefer to barbeque, use the deck grill just outside the sliding doors.

When the pool is open, swim laps in the massive 20’ x 40’ inground heated pool (I was told it’s the largest residential pool in DC!) complimented by classic travertine tile and Bloodgood Japanese maple trees. Enjoy a poolside game of cornhole, or just sit and bask in the sun while you re-energize during your stay.

As the day wanes, step upstairs to the 2nd level sleeping quarters and you’ll find a large primary bedroom that includes a king bed, large flat screen with cable and smart TV, and en suite bath. The spacious 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and connects to an office with desktop computer, printer & Bowflex MaxTrainer elliptical. The 3rd bedroom has a double bed and plenty of storage. The 2nd floor includes a full bath with shower and bathtub. The 4th bedroom is up the stairs to a large finished attic space with queen bed. The 3rd level attic includes a workout space with free weights, bench, and yoga mat.

As your host, I’m just a phone call or email away. I typically will stay in the basement apartment when I am in town. I come and go through the back yard, so I promise not to interrupt your privacy unless you have a question!
