ā€œOver the creek and through the woodsā€ . . . to the Log Cabin at Sautee Paso Fino Ranch, a secluded 'true log cabin' with two creeks flowing through the property. This privately owned, family mountain retreat is tucked away between historic Nacoochee Valley and Unicoi State Park ā€“ convenient to Helen, Unicoi State Park, Clarkesville, and Cleveland.

We welcome you to visit us and enjoy the majesty of the beautiful and ever-changing North Georgia Mountains where each season displays its own distinctive colors and scenes. Surrounding Helen is the Chattahoochee National Forest, Smithgall Woods, and Unicoi State Park. Richard Russell Scenic Highway and the Appalachian Trail are nearby ā€“ as well as many streams, waterfalls, hiking trails, and a wide variety of outdoor activities.

We keep a guest book that includes listings of shops, museums, restaurants, and other attractions.

As you arrive, we personally greet you to give you an opportunity to preview the cabin. We make every effort to provide a clean and pleasant environment for you to enjoy; therefore, this is strictly a non-smoking facility.

The cabin, located on Craig Creek within the Chattahoochee National Forest, is accessed by a gravel road.

Please notify owners about breed/size of pets upon your inquiry. Our pet friendly policy allows a maximum of 2 house trained dogs (50 lb limit). We do ask that your pets be placed in an inside carry kennel when you are away from the property. With your inquiry please state that you agree with our pet policy. Arrangements can be made for us to provide a kennel if needed. (No cats, please)

There are no rate changes for weekends or holidays.

To save costs for the traveler, we charge NO deposit, pet fee, etc. and we pay credit card fees. VRBO charges a service fee, and law requires that you pay state and local hotel/motel taxes.

Due to the creek crossing......No Motorcycles or ATVs

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The location is incredibly quiet and sitting right beside a small creek meant we got to fall asleep to the sound of running water every nightā€”it was so relaxing.Don met us at check-in to do a personal walkthrough and ensure everything met our expectations. He was super nice and made us feel right at home. We have absolutely no complaints and would love to stay here again!

Our trip at this cabin was good the house was great and very good with communication! Thereā€™s lots to do in the area. My only issue was trying to get to the cabin thereā€™s a shallow creek to the entrance that you have to cross over . If you have a low vehicle this isnā€™t quite a good idea going over.

Cozy and warm. Clean and great atmosphere. I would sit more on the porch swing and listen to the calm creek no more than 5yards away. Great place to unplug and unwind. Everything is in close proximity maybe 15min to Helen.

Absolutely relaxing and secluded, beautiful cabin steps from a serene creek. Don was super nice and everything was great. The Best Cozy Cabin

If youā€™re looking for a peaceful cozy cabin, this is it! Surrounded by nature and a beautiful creek right outside, it gives you an off the grid mountain feel while still having all the amenities you could want AND is still very close to everything you could ever want to see and do in town. We look forward to staying here again in the future and will be highly recommending it for anyone looking for a cozy place to stay!

Cabin in Sautee

The cabin was located in a good geographical location. Close to many attractions. Loved the creek. The cabin itself needs some upgrades. The beds and furniture are old. It had a strong musty smell. Needs trees and shrubbery trimmed back badly. No sunshine could get into the Cabin. No yard or outside area to enjoy around the cabin. Friendly owners. Price wasnā€™t too bad. Glad we could bring both dogs. Suggestion to owner. Wouldnā€™t bring your dogs to the area where the guests dogs are. Owners German Shepherds not very accepting at all to other dogs.

A great weekend away

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We met the owner on arrival who graciously provided us with a tour of the property. The cabin was cute, clean and well maintained. It was the perfect distance to Helen, Unicoi and all the area attractions. We look forward to visiting again.

Cozy Secluded Cabin

The cabin was exactly like the listing and the host was very kind. It was in fact more secluded then we had thought but only about 10 minutes or so from helen. The cabin was very clean and had kitchen supplies as well as all mentioned items in the listing. We will book this listing again.againbook this listing again

Perfect vacation spot

We had a wonderful experience staying at this cabin. The location right on the creek was absolutely beautiful. Sitting on the front porch swing, listening to the creek, and watching the fireflies made for the perfect relaxing getaway. It was very close to Helen and many nice hiking spots like Anna Ruby Falls, Unicoi, and Moccasin Creek State Park. We loved being able to bring our dogs along too! The hosts are so sweet and welcoming! We will definitely be back!
