Luxurious retreat that offers magnificent views with total privacy just 55 minutes from the city of Porto. The property consists of 2 independent fully furnished houses totally rebuilt in 2024:
- Lemon tree house: 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/ kitchen/ living room
- Olive tree house: 1 bedroom/1 bathroom/kitchen/living room.

The property is rented as a whole including the 2 houses.
You get a private pool, a rooftop terrace, a private vineyard, and a private forest. You can enjoy 360 degrees of privacy with fantastic views all around. The property is perched on the side of the river Douro, around 100m from the river bank, where you can see tour boats passing by in your backyard. Experience nature at its best. Pure air, silence, greenery, water and good wine. Amenities 5 min by car, Bakery, mini-market, coffee shop, petrol station, butcher shop

The Little Vineyard is situated at the heart of the Douro valley where some of the best and oldest wines of the world are produced. The Douro valley is listed as a World Heritage Site. If you plan to visit the wineries in the region, the Little Vineyard is your ultimate base. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the fantastic views from the roof top or from the swimming pool. The Little Vineyard is a 1000m2 vineyard that produces around 200 litres of green wine. The wine is carefully crafted by the owners.

Fantastic property which fully lives up to the listing. Lots of extras including pool towels and toiletries. The beautiful pool area and amazing views made this a very relaxing stay for our family of four adults.

A truly wonderful house and amazing view; everything as expected from the photos. Superb finish to the property. The most comfortable house we have stayed in, the mattresses, pillows and bedding all perfect for us. Gilbert was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Our stay was outstanding. Gilbert and Elle met us and made us feel very welcome. It was the perfect place to relax and tour Douro Valley. We are 2 couples traveling together and having the 2 houses was ideal. Pool was wonderful. Made our trip very memorable. Thank you.

Everything was perfect at the property.The hosts had thought of all the equipment you might need for self catering as well as providing little extras like soap and pool towels.It was ideal for my family of 4 adults.The view is amazing and it's so peaceful.There was a heatwave while we stayed and quite a lot of wind, so we were grateful for the air conditioning!We visited Amarante and Guimaraes and drove along the valley to Peso da Regua.The only local restaurant we visited was PenaCurva which caters for vegetarians and vegans.Our hosts were very friendly and provided a welcome basket.Thanks for a lovely stay at the Little Vineyard.

The Little Vineyard surpassed all our expectations. A beautiful property with an amazing view. Gilbert and Elle are fantastic hosts and have obviously put a lot of thought into design and comfort. We loved the pool and used the BBQ every night. We wanted a relaxing family holiday and that is what we enjoyed. There are some lovely little coffee and cake places within a 10 minute drive and a very nice restaurant about 15 minutes away. Thank you so much for a great holiday.

We had a wonderful stay in the Douro Valley. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a little piece of luxury at a reasonable price. The drive in was spectacular, winding through mountains and little villages. The hosts, Gilbert and Elle, a lovely husband and wife team, met us when we arrived and showed us around the property and explained everything. Gilbert was very responsive to any questions we had and checked in with us to make sure our stay was exceptional. The house was fantastic! The main unit had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a family room. The private suite had a king bed, its own bathroom, and a mini kitchen. And wow, the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. You could tell the owners really cared when choosing it. The decor was beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. Fresh lemons from the property were a daily treat. Outside, there was a beautiful patio with a barbecue, table and chairs overlooking the Valley where we enjoyed lunch and dinners, and morning coffee watching the mist in the morning burn off was such a peaceful surprise. Time around the pool was spent just soaking up the scenery and the quiet. Town was a short drive away with groceries, a great butcher and fantastic bakery and close to a train station. Overall, it felt like a little taste of the rich and famous life. We'd absolutely love to return. For anyone looking for a relaxing taste of paradise in the Valley, this is the place!

My husband and I stayed here for our fifth anniversary and had the most wonderful experience. Gilbert and Elle welcomed us so warmly to their beautiful property. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the view was even more breathtaking than we imagined. The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and had such a cozy, welcoming feel—it truly made our celebration special. Gilbert went above and beyond by sharing local treats and giving us great tips on where to go and what to see. We will definitely be coming back!

After some busy days in Porto, we stayed here with our three teenagers and fully enjoyed this quit and peaceful place, the beautiful, comfortable house and the nice pool. The view of the Douro River from every corner of the property is simply breathtaking and makes the stay truly worthwhile. But also the olive and lemon trees in the garden added to the charm. Moreover, Elle and Gilbert are very warm and friendly hosts, and we were welcomed by all kinds of local treats. They were also very helpful in giving all kinds of recommendations about the area and restaurants. During our stay, we went hiking, enjoyed a wine tasting, and spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool while soaking in the scenery. It was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect as a family.

Gilbert and Elle have built a beautiful villa in a truly stunning setting overlooking the Douro River. The view is spectacular from every vantage (I'm not sure pictures can do it justice), and the homes are very well appointed, with clear attention to detail in its design and construction. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the linens are perfect, adding to the overall sense of comfort and care. With the two separate homes (Lemon Tree house up top and Olive Tree house below), its perfect for two to three couples.The pool is not heated, but the Douro gets warm in the summer, so its refreshing.Gilbert and Elle are wonderful, caring owners who make sure you have everything you need. They clearly take great pride in the property, and it shows throughout the entire stay.Small tips: visit Talho O Arouques, the butcher at the top of the hill, if you want great steaks. There is also a small mercado right across the street where you can pick up groceries without having to drive up to the supermercado. Also, be sure to check out the small flowering tree just after the gate - its a hub of activity for bees. The drive to Pinhao is beautiful - take the fast route the way there (long tunnel, impressive bridge, and scenic drive down to the town through sprawling vineyards) and the slow route (N222) on the way back along the river.We had a wonderful stay and hope to return another day.

Die Unterkunft ist ganz wunderbar! Sie liegt in einem nur sehr dünn besiedelten Gebiet an einem Hang im Douro-Tal. Ein Mietwagen ist daher sehr zu empfehlen – auch für die nötigen Einkäufe. Die relativ einsame Lage hat den Vorteil herrlicher Ruhe und bietet nachts einen unglaublichen Blick in einen üppigen Sternenhimmel. Die Gebäude sind ziemlich neu und modern gestaltet. Alles ist geschmackvoll und hochwertig ausgeführt, dies gilt auch für die Inneneinrichtung. Die beiden Küchen sind sehr gut ausgestattet, die Küchenutensilien von guter Qualität. Wer gerne kocht findet scharfe Messer, gute Reiben, einen Pürierstab, ordentliche Schneidebretter sowie Backpapier und Alu- als auch Frischhaltefolie. Wir haben wirklich nichts vermisst.Sensationell fanden wir den Blick vom Pool und den Balkonen (eigentlich von überall) auf den Fluss und die Berghänge. Mit einem Glas Wein den Sonnenuntergang erleben und den Schiffen nachzuschauen, die langsam über den Fluss gleiten, ist schon sehr kontemplativ und wenn dann Mond und Stern erscheinen ist man froh, diesen Ort gefunden zu haben.Das Vermieter-Paar ist sehr nett und kümmert sich liebevoll um die Liegenschaft und seine Gäste. Wir werden nicht nur einmal dort gewesen sein.

La meilleure maison (sur 4) de notre séjour Si vous cherchez le calme, le silence (à « l’exception » du passage des bateaux de croisière qui ponctuent votre journée) alors vous êtes au bon endroit.La vue depuis n’importe quel endroit, n’importe quelle pièce vous laisse juste sans voix. Parfaitement meublée et équipée (jusqu’au serviettes de toilette d’une telle épaisseur !!!), d’une parfaite propreté, si vous prévoyez bien les courses vous n’aurez, comme nous, plus du tout envie de bouger.Les 2 «maisons » permettent à chacun d’avoir son minimum d’indépendance et d’intimité tout en étant ensemble.Cerise sur le gâteau l’accueil, la disponibilité et la gentille de Gilbert et Elle n’a aucun égal.Bref : THE PLACE TO BE sur le Douro pour des vacances reposantes

L'endroit idéal pour découvrir le nord du Portugal. A moins d'une heure de porto braga guimarz amarante et villa real .
