Rent the entire property and enjoy a peaceful respite with pool for intimate gatherings or groups of friends, family members, or coworkers. Tucked away on 40 acres of scenic California mountain terrain, our property is a refuge of complete escape, privacy, and rejuvenation.

Our Mountain Sanctuary is located 2 miles from Santa Margarita, California, and 8 miles North of San Luis Obispo. It is midpoint between Los Angeles and San Francisco, 3.5 hour drive from each. The ranch is rural and picturesque and is in the pristine wine country of San Luis Obispo County. Easy day trips from the ranch are Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, Big Sur and Paso Robles and Edna Valley Wine Country.

Our ranch features a eco- constructed home, guest house and cottage. Three distinct buildings connected by patios and pathways. Spa-like bathrooms, saltwater pool, hot tub, and a state of the art yoga studio with expansive mountain views. Two kitchens and spacious living-dining room comfortably seat 14 with courtyard garden views on one side and hilltop views dotted with ancient oaks to the other. All construction is Green Built featuring all eco-friendly finishes such a peacefully harvested bamboo floors, recycled lumber, recycled glass tiles and eco-friendly paint. The owner places great attention to detail with a clean, rustic yet modern aesthetic. The ranch's charm, majestic beauty and serenity is felt by all our guests. Whether here on a family reunion, a yoga retreat, bridal shower, bachelorette, or corporate retreat guests are impressed with the true quiet of the ranch, the abundant natural wildlife that graces the ranch and the unsurpassed beauty of nature that abounds.

Wonderful getaway

For those who desire to get away from it all and spend time in California's glorious central coast area, Sagrada is a fabulous choice. The 3 buildings that comprise Sagrada are especially nice for larger groups. The hot tub and (in hot weather, the unheated) salt water pool are awesome. Sagrada is not a "fancy" destination, but a cozy, welcoming place. My favorite memory of our stay was the family yoga session we did in the beautiful yoga studio. For the right group, I highly recommend Sagrada.

Wow, the best VRBO experience yet!

This was the perfect getaway for our group of three young families. The layout of the property with three buildings worked out perfectly! The grounds were even more beautiful than we expected from the photos, the beds were super comfy, and the decor of each cottage/building was so cool. Bathrooms and kitchens felt newly remodeled and very clean. Rich and Hope were wonderful hosts, available if needed but otherwise gave us plenty of space when we didn’t. The pool was awesome for the kids and there was a nice shaded seating area and plenty of loungers beside the pool. Loved sitting in the hot tub at night looking at a star filled sky! A couple of small trails right on the property but also a short drive to incredible hikes and beaches. It was just such a peaceful, lovely place… we usually like to try new places but there’s already been talk of how we could come back to visit this special place.

very enjoyable stay

Hi Scott, We enjoyed our stay at your yoga retreat. A few minor issues which came up that I wanted to bring to your attention. We needed more bath towels than were provided. If it is expected to bring your own, it would be good to say that up front. Maybe we missed that in the instructions. Also, the smoke/fire alarm went off on Saturday night and we could not figure out what triggered it, we finally had to inactivate it to prevent it from continuing to alarm. Otherwise, the stay was great! Thanks!

Peaceful and relaxing

The rooms/bathroom areas were impeccably clean, very comfortable beds. The main house with the yoga room has a very well stocked kitchen, and a large dining table which was able to accommodate all 12 of us. The pool area had shade and the salt water pool was fantastic. The on-site hosts were very nice and accommodating, they gave us privacy. The property is remote and quiet.

AHHH mazing

This place remains serene no matter how many you have on site. There is a flow that offers peace & tranquility throughout the entire property! We loved our stay. It was just perfect! The pool was a big draw & I found the beds so comfortable & the kitchen easy to work with . It is a commercial stove yet with Rich’s help we were able to operate all with safety. Just a wonderful experience!

Great for a reunion (and birding)

Sleeping 14 in 7 separate spaces, divided into 3 houses, with 2 kitchens this was a beautiful getaway for 3 generations. No microwave, so prepare to reheat coffee on the stove. No tv, but if you must, the wifi is okay for streaming. We used the yoga studio for daily exercise, and hikes of all levels are nearby, even in winter. For real groceries, head to SLO or Atuscadero, but Santa Margarita itself has a little market and a lovely wine tasting room. On-site management friendly and helpful. Lots of birding!! We stayed 8 nights and weren’t ready to leave.

Serene Retreat

This was a family trip for us...my parents, my husband and I, and our three boys (youngest 7 and oldest 10), and it was just wonderful!!! The property is BEAUTIFUL, and the accommodations were great...comfortable beds and ample interior space. My only FYI to potential renters (although they may have changed this since we were there last) — there was NO television and NO microwave. Totally understandable given the mission of the yoga ranch/resort retreat, but a bit unexpected for our family and took some getting used to. Overall, we would go back in a heartbeat!

Relax and wander

The entire place has been designed so thoughtfully from the interior to the plants - the cactus were in bloom during our stay. The owners have poured time and energy into making this a relaxing, laid back spot with a wellness vibe. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy and cozy. The saltwater pool was beautiful and it’s worth hiking around and up the small mountain for an amazing view of the countryside. Thank you Sagrada!

Perfect Escape!

Just what we needed for a quarantine approved getaway! The hosts and property were just lovely. Our children loved the pool and chickens. My hubby and I appreciated the views and solitude. So wish we could just move in!

A sanctuary of peace and relaxation off the beaten track

We had a heavenly stay at Sagrada. We went with another family, who we have been socially distancing with over the course of the pandemic. The property is split into two sections, separated by a beautiful little courtyard, so it was perfect for our two families to mingle/hang-out during the day, and then separate into our family units at bedtime. The property is stunning architecturally with fabulous furnishings, the beds and bedding luxe and super comfortable. The salt water pool is delightful, with beautiful views, surrounded by lush landscaping. The hikes within the estate were lovely, with many wildlife viewings particularly deer and birds of prey. The kids enjoyed the friendly ranch dogs, feeding the chickens and spotting the turkeys which would occasionally turn up en masse! We also really enjoyed the yoga room for a few sessions of mat pilates - unfortunately the wifi didn't stretch that far for us to do our online classes, so we had to improvise. All in all it is an amazing sanctuary, within shooting distance to beautiful places for day trips (Hearst Castle, Morro Bay etc.) I hope with all my heart that we can come back soon...

Very unique getaway

The property is really lovely. Reasonably close by there are also super nice hikes (our favorite was Montagne d"Oro). The pool is modern and refreshing (not heated though). The hot tub is super fun. The chickens are friendly and add to the experience. Close in town there is the Caliwala market which has most of what you need but you may want to do a shop before arrival. Just some notes to be aware of: There is no microwave and no tv. The wifi works great by the pool but not in the house but cell signal is good enough to use as a personal hot spot. Scott and Eva were super friendly.

Magical mini vacation in the most relaxing home!

Word can’t express how much we enjoyed staying in this beautiful,peaceful,super clean home. I literally had a retreat experience with my family around me and I loved it. I would like to thank the management of this beautiful home and congrats to the management style of keeping everything so perfect. Finally, the two watch dogs are incredibly sweet and friendly. Couldn't get any better, what a great place!

Fantastic surrounding, big and very beautiful house with lots of style. We loved the atmosphere, we loved the cooking, we loved the swimming pool. Furthermore, Scott is a great person. We would recommend the place definitely to everyone!

Amazing!

I'm hesitant to even write a review for this place because I want to keep it all to myself! This is a hidden gem for sure. The home was stunning and exactly as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could ever need to cook an amazing meal - including knives that were actually sharp (total pet peeve about other rental properties). Our two young children (ages 2 and 5) LOVED the pool, dogs, and had some much space to explore.

Wonderful & Relaxing Stay

Had such a wonderful time at this Farm house ! It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway with a couple of girlfriends. The place was very comfortable and had such a relaxing setting. The yoga room was my personal favorite. We loved waking up every morning and watching the deer and chickens from the windows of the living room and kitchen. Scott was so helpful in giving us tips for places to visit around the area. We can't wait to get together next year and stay at the Sagrada once again.

Gorgeous Ranch Stay

Beautiful stay! The property is a great escape into nature. Situated amongst oak-covered hills, we enjoyed hiking, starry nights, and watching the wildlife and birds. The house is well-designed, sustainably sourced, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen provides high-quality cookware, utensils, and range. Cooking a large meal here is a real pleasure. This is a great location for just relaxing for the day, hiking the property and soaking in the hot tub, but it's also well-located for SLO, the coast, wineries, and San Simeon. Scott and his family were wonderful hosts, and provided thoughtful suggestions for things to do in the area. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

Owners' Scott Currie and Eva Inglizian reside full-time in Santa Margarita, Central Coast California. The couple from Los Angeles designed the ranch, combining their expertise: Architecture and Acupuncture.

Architect Scott Currie, graduate of Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), designed the ranch with a respect for the environment in mind. Scott's work can be described as having a wabi-sabi aesthetic: natural, rustic, fresh and elegant. Scott creates refined indoor-outdoor living spaces with modern amenities without compromising the integrity of the history and spiritual character of the land. Landscaping consists of native drought resistant cacti and plants. A gray water system is also integrated to minimize resource consumption.

Eva Inglizian L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Eva specializes in facial rejuvenation acupuncture. Her work with Sagrada Wellness as Founder, and acupuncturist has been featured in several international publications such as National Geographic Traveler, Healing Lifestyles and Spas Magazine, Elle, Fit Yoga, and Pilates Style Magazine.

Surrounded by 3rd and 4th generation owned ranches and vineyards. Our ranch is five minutes from historical Santa Margarita and its restaurants and antique shops, as well as over 200 wineries within minutes in the Paso Robles wine appellation.
