Edna Estate Modern Victorian, Sleeps 17, Hot Tub, by SLO Cal Stays

Edna Estate is perfect for a wedding party to use as home base, just a short drive to nearby venues (Sorry no weddings here). W/5 large bdrms, this 4600 sq ft home is also designed for family reunions, corporate getaways & girls wknds. Orig. built in 1906 w/large addition in 2000, it has Victorian details w/a modern twist! This light-filled home is on 2.5 acres of country land w/stunning hillside & farmland views, 5 min to wineries, 10 to downtown & Pismo Beach. Hosted by SLO Cal Stays.

While we won't be always available in person, we are available to be messaged or called at any time.

Set out in the country, with a long driveway off the main road. Very quiet neighbors, with farmland all around. Several wineries are within a couple miles, downtown SLO is about 10 minutes away, as well as Pismo Beach.

Almost the entire property is available to the guests, except the greenhouse and workshop at the front of the property.

The home is very large and spacious. All of the common spaces are designed to fit a large group, with smaller conversation areas throughout. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have private bathrooms, and are designed for families small families (Queen bed + twin daybed & King bed + 2 twins). The outdoor space includes patio tables/chairs, a large fire pit, corn hole and a large hot tub.

Amazing home!

This is an amazing find! Edna Estates is a beautifully appointed classic home. Comfortable, great location and so peaceful! If you are looking to stay in Edna Valley I would absolutely recommend Edna Estates!

Perfect Everything!

It was the perfect place for our entire family to gather and spend time before our daughter’s wedding. Everyone raved about the attention to detail and comfort of the home. Even the window coverings were amazing!!!!!!

Amazing stay

This beautiful home was perfect for our large extended family. The beauty, both inside and out, lent the home to feel homey and comfortable, despite its large size and room to spread out. Easy check in/out and communication was a plus! We had a fabulous stay.

Wonderful House and Hosts

Edna Estate was the perfect location for a family celebration of our Cal Poly graduate. We were a group of 10 and there was more than enough room to gather, cook, sleep and relax. The outdoor firepit (and s'more kit provided by Lindsey and Sean) was a particular highlight and evening gathering spot as evenings were cool. The location is very convenient to downtown, as well as the Edna Valley wineries and the nearby beaches. The hosts were very responsive and everything was as advertised -- a beautiful stay if you have the chance!

Great time with family

Our group was in the area for a family wedding. We really appreciate having a large dining area, comfy couches, a great kitchen, super comfy beds, plenty of rooms/bathrooms easy parking and a large quiet property. The hot tub sealed the deal. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Amazing house for a large group

We had the best time at this property! It was the perfect place for our large group of friends. It was well equipped for every activity we did. Very close to wineries, downtown and the beach. Could not recommend this place more!!

Beautiful Property

The home was spacious for the number of people we had. The living room was heart of the home for us where we created a lot of laughs and enjoyed each other’s company. The amenities were abundant and convenient. We appreciated everything about the listing.

Perfect home!

Our huge family Thanksgiving stay at Edna was amazing! The home was equipped with everything you would need. We love the design of the home, huge jacuzzi and outdoor fire pit. Definitely recommend this for groups looking to relax, connect and enjoy the fun town of SLO or wine taste in Edna!

Great location for Edna Valley

The house was very roomy for 4 families with 6 adult children. The kitchen is well stocked. It was nice to come back after visiting the wineries and sit in the yard. The owners pay a lot of attention to details, they made our stay perfect!

Perfect for large groups

Our 5 night stay with a large group so comfortable and relaxing. Various sitting areas allowed everyone to have some space and to also come together in them. The home is well taken care of and despite its grand size, it is welcoming and homey. The location is perfect for exploring all things SLO and the backyard views beautiful.

Heaven in Edna Valley!

The Edna Estate was everything the listing described and more! The house was absolutely stunning and the hosts thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable... from multiple sound machines, super comfy beds, a nice selection of indoor & outdoor games and a well-equipped kitchen! I highly recommend the EDNA ESTATE!

Fantastic Stay in a Fantastic House

The photos don't do this place justice. By far the best rental me and my friends have ever stayed in. Beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and outdoor fireplace. Perfect for a long weekend. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Family birthday celebration

Etna Estate was a fabulous place to celebrate my big birthday with kids and grandkids. There was plenty of room for our 8 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. The dining room and kitchen were perfect for family meals and well equipped. House is within easy driving distance to restaurants, the beach and places of interest. Fabulous Place

We rented this beautiful home for a family gathering. It was perfect for our big group. We had 8 adults and 7 children (ages 1-11). There were plenty of different spaces throughout the house to be without crowding one another. The big long table was not only fantastic for meals, but also for games any time of the day. The kids loved riding their bikes and scooters up and down the long driveway and exploring the property. The spa was perfect after being out hiking, going to the beach, wine tasting and taking the beautiful area in. This is the second time we have rented from Lindsay and Sean. The Black Barn Ranch is not to missed as well. They are great hosts and are always just a text away. We will be back! Thank you!!!

Great family reunion location

We had three generations stay together at the Edna Estate, 2 grandparents, 6 adults and 4 grandkids. The house was very large and could have easily accommodated more people. We have stayed at many different rental homes over the years and this one was the cleanest, most organized, and well equipped home. Each room had comfortable beds with nice bedding, white noise machines, and good window coverings which blocked morning light. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. There was parking outside. We made s’mores outside under the fairy lights at the fire pit one night, which was a highlight for the grandkids. Wi-Fi was strong and covered the entire house, which was important because some of us had to work remotely. Bathrooms were large and clean. The house had charming Victorian details like stained glass, moldings, and fixtures, but was also modernized and efficient. We had a wonderful time and made so many memories. The hosts, Sean and Lindsey, were very responsive and so kind. We loved staying here and hope to be back again.

Amazing property

This is a beautiful house with tons of space for our family gathering. Sean and Lindsey were immediately responsive with any issues that we had. Can't think of one thing that they didn't provide - kitchen was fully stocked, bedding & towels were amazing, decorative touches everywhere. Really an enjoyable experience. Recommend highly:)

Understated luxury just outside SLO

We were fortunate enough to celebrate Thanksgiving at the gorgeous Edna Estate, and we can't recommend the property enough to future visitors. The owners were so accommodating: helping to adjust our arrival date due to my child getting sick, immediately coming to assist with a door lock that required new batteries, and providing any info we could want in the house manual. The house itself is gorgeous and very well-equipped, with a long driveway well suited for little ones riding bikes and playing. Also, several of the bedrooms have very large closets that could fit a pack n play, if you were traveling with a baby. We loved our stay and would be delighted to rent again. Thank you for a great Thanksgiving!

Beautiful property

The property was amazing. Our girls basketball team was so impressed with every aspect of the house, far exceeding their expectations. Our hosts were accommodating and quick to respond to any questions before arrival. Would recommend this property to any large group! 10/10

Fantastic Stay

This home is beautiful and impeccable! Everything was perfect about our stay. It was extremely clean and had the necessary amenities plus some. Beds, pillows and linens were luxurious and very comfortable. The living room area was much bigger than it appears in pictures and it accommodated our entire group and encouraged fun karaoke nights ;). We had a wonderful time staying here and Sean was prompt to respond throughout the weekend when communicating. I highly recommend booking this property for large family gatherings. We enjoyed the property very much.

What an amazing home

The home is beautifully renovated, has such charm, and was the perfect location for our event. We had 14 in this home and had room to spare! Only thing close to a complaint would be a standard fridge is tough to work around with 14 and cooking most meals at the home. But on the flip side the amazing stove/oven made cooking a breeze, even with three chefs operating.

Hi, we're Sean + Lindsey! Along with our 3 teens, we live in San Luis Obispo, CA (also known as the "Happiest Place on Earth" - Oprah). We bought and fully renovated this Victorian home on 2.5 acres in January of 2022. While this home is new to us, we are not new to hosting vacation rentals - we have 2 other listings in San Luis Obispo. We purposefully design our properties with the intention of hosting others, providing an enjoyable space while visiting and enjoying all SLO has to offer! We are both small business owners; Sean is in the home improvement industry as well as municipal exterior lighting, and Lindsey has a design consulting business. We both love to host and make the guests feel at home!

This property is uniquely situated in Edna Valley (the south end of SLO). There are over a dozen wineries within a few minutes drive, and we are located right by some of the most desirable wedding venues in the county. We are a short 10 minute drive into downtown SLO and also 10 minutes to the nearest beach, Pismo. This home is located at the very back of the property, allowing maximum privacy and quiet.

This home was built in the early 1900's and our guests get to enjoy the visual history the home holds, but enjoy it in a modern context, with all the amenities at hand. It is also unusual to find such a large home, that can sleep so many guests, and also can comfortably fit the large group for meals and lounging.
