Welcome to your luxurious vacation rental in Buckley Bay, on Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia! This exquisite 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom property is a coastal paradise. Situated right on the oceanfront, you'll be greeted by breathtaking ocean views every morning.

The location is ideal for exploring the wonders of Vancouver Island. The property is close to Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland and Mount Washington. Also, the sandy beaches of Parksville are just south, and the ferry to Denman and Hornby Islands is just 1km down the road. The large grassy yard is perfect for kids to run and play, and you can keep an eye on them while enjoying the ocean view.

For water enthusiasts, you can swim, kayak or paddleboard straight from the beach, immersing yourself in the serene waters of the bay. And when it's time to savor a delicious meal, fire up the BBQ for some outdoor grilling.

As the sun sets, gather around your private firepit to toast marshmallows and share stories under the starry sky. And don't forget to indulge in the freshest oysters, plucked right from the beach. This vacation rental in Buckley Bay offers an unforgettable blend of luxury, nature, and adventure.

We live next door to the Beach House - the 2 houses are on an acre of property, but private to each other. Built at the same time, careful consideration was made so each house took full advantage of the wonderful views without imposing on the other house’s privacy. We hope you have a wonderful stay! Loved the location. Felt isolated, but close to highway access and all the near major towns. Lots of cutlery and kitchen options including blender, oyster shucker, and BBQ. Patio had seating for all. Separate bedroom for the kids with their own bathroom on their own floor was a lifesaver for any parent. As a parent, the washer and dryer was a huge help. In all, we enjoyed our whole week and at a reasonable price. We appreciate that there was a binder with lots of information, which is how we fould Fanny Oysters so close for raw oysters. If we ever find ourselves on the island again, we will be staying here. If we know someone going to the island, will recommend.

Fantastic stay at the beach house. Peaceful and quiet. The hosts were very communicative and friendly, but also gave us total privacy. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. Very comfortable! Highly recommend!

Beautiful view - met all of our needs

Enjoyed our stay there. Missing a few kitchen items but we left a note and I am sure they will be addressed. I would stay there again.

Blissful stay in Buckley Bay

The house is beautiful, the surroundings serene. It made for a wonderfully relaxing 4 days. So much to see from the deck including the ferry to Denman Island across the way. Playful seals kept us entertained just off the beach, where we had a fire in the fure pit

Waterfront Oasis

We had a wonderful stay at the beach house. Amazing waterfront location and greenspace made it easy to keep kids entertained. Views were spectacular and it was such a quiet and relaxing locating with the sounds of the creek down the side of the propery. Perfect stay with everything we needed, including a travel crib. Highly recommend!

Summer Vacation on Vancouver Island

My family had a great time at the Beach House. We explored the Trent River looking for fossils and swam in the shallow pools, swam and paddle boarded in the Comox Lake Dam, and mountain biked in Cumberland. There isn't a lack of activities to do in this area. We also relaxed on the deck overlooking the view of the water and Denman Island. We took a day trip to Hornby Island and went to Tribune Bay to laze on the beach and take a dip in the ocean. I would definitely recommend this home to others. Make sure to bring ear plugs for the upstairs bedroom as it is next to a road with loud vehicles, but this is minimal compared to everything else that is wonderful about our stay!

Accuracy Of Online Listing

We are two couples, all over 59 who stayed here for several nights in June, 2024. We found that listing of on-site property amenities was misleading as bicycles, golf, kayaks, water park, and water sports equipment were not on-site. There is a great view of the water from the house and upper deck, however, it was not a peaceful stay as there is a high volume of traffic and noise throughout the day and night. The property has a row windows on the second floor facing East to see the sun rise. However, when this room heats up, there are no window or patio door screens to let air flow through or window blinds to shield the room heating up. This made staying in the room uncomfortable. As there is no AC, and without window screens to let air in and keep the bugs out, the bedroom also heated up and we had sleepless nights. There is no ceiling fan in the bedroom and using the portable fans are loud and noisy. The booking and communication with the host before we arrived was very good and the host shared a lot of good island spots to visit. However, there was no communication from the host (who was on vacation) or the property manager (Natasha) to our questions and concerns during our stay. Just a note to say that the beach is not sandy and made up of rock, clams, oysters and other crustaceans which makes it difficult to walk on. We live next door to the Beach House (the 2 houses are on the same property, but private to each other) and look after all our bookings and deal with our guests directly. We are originally from the UK and emmigrated to Canada in 1992 where we lived in Alberta for 10 years before moving out to the coast!

Buckley Bay Beach House is a great spot to have a holiday, whether it is just for a quick week end or for a week or more - there is so much to see and do in the area. It is perfectly located to explore central and northern Vancouver Island.
If you like hiking, golfing, skiing, boating, kayaking, biking, swimming, fishing, beach combing, caving, mountaineering etc (the list goes on) - this is the place to be!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Waterfront, on an acre of land, private location. Courtenay and Comox are just 15 minutes away along the very scenic coastal highway. Mt Washington Alpine Resort and Strathcona Provisional Park are just a 30 minute drive away. Horne Lake Caves are just down the road, Campbell River (great whale watching tours) is just up the road. Cumberland with all its fantastic bike trails is only 10 minutes away and is a funky, vibrant village.
