This beautiful, top floor, 1-bedroom, 1-bath village condo #2416 is perfectly situated in White Mountain Lodge, directly above The Village restaurant and shops, and just steps away from The Village gondola. This is the perfect place to spend your Mammoth Vacation! Sleeps 4!

Located on the the top floor, this condo offers an upgraded living area. Relax in the evenings by watching your favorite show or movie on the 42" flat-screen TV or playing games on the X-box game station, then get a great night's sleep on your King-size bed. Also offered is: a full kitchen with granite countertops, a gas fireplace for those brisk winter evenings, and air conditioning for those warm summer nights, PLUS all the amenities you have come to expect at The Village.

Enjoy the year-round heated pool, 3 Jacuzzis, workout rooms, free Wi-Fi, gondola, shopping, restaurants, and underground heated parking.

Great location

Being frequent campers to the Mammoth and Bishop area this was a great alternative for a 3 night stay since camping wasn’t an option this year. Location was great and parking was super convenient. Having access to all the resort amenities was a highlight of the trip.

The 1 bedroom was great for 2 adults. The kitchen was nice & the location was perfect. The pool wasn’t overcrowded & the grills worked nicely. Parking on site was nice but the EV chargers were very slow & not worth using. The only downsides were the amount of house keeping we were required to do to avoid being charged fees, most tasks which I’d expect to be taken care of by a cleaning crew. The carpeted hallways also smelled very badly of pot the whole weekend. Otherwise no major issues.

Perfect location!

The unit was clean and as advertised. The village location and underground parking made for an easy stay with little driving once we got there since shops, restaurants, ski rental, and gondola were all within walking distance. There is also a gym, hot tub, laundry, vending machine and ski storage in the building that came in handy.

The location was perfect. Check in smooth and seamless. Other than a freezer door that wouldn't stay shut, everything else was excellent. Highly recommend.

We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with. Thank you so much for the feedback about incomplete repairs in the unit. We are aware of the situation. Mammoth Lakes is a very small town, population 7000, in a remote, 9000 mountain locale; approximately 150 miles from the nearest city (Carson City, NV). When we have to contract repair work out to local vendors, the delays in their schedule or in receiving parts can be quite lengthy. Window glass and screens, appliances, furniture repairs, etc. can all take weeks here, as opposed to the days they may take in a city. Mammoth Five Star Lodging employs our own team of maintenance technicians (maintaining the highest staff to unit ratio of any manager in Mammoth) so that we can effect most repairs ourselves, in a timely fashion. Occasionally we encounter a problem that is beyond our scope, and we are forced to deal with vendor schedules (who are not in the hospitality business). Please know that we work hard to minimize these delays so that we can present products to you in the best possible condition for your stay. Thanks so much for staying with Mammoth Five Star Lodging! Great Location

We had a great time in Mammoth. It’s so nice to have all of the Mammoth Village shops and restaurants just an elevator away. The condo was a perfect home base for all of our Mammoth adventures. The kids made lots of new friends playing ping pong and cornhole in the courtyard. We would definitely go back.

Fabulous condo

Just got back from a great weekend stay. The condo was clean and big enough for a family of 4 with small children. Kitchen fully stocked with what you need for cooking/eating. Gondola was a short walk and Starbucks was right downstairs. Easy underground parking. Megan at Mammoth Five Star Lodging was easy to work with and to reach. Loved it so much, just booked it for another weekend in March.

Running in Mammoth

I spent 4 days / nights in Mammoth to do some training on the awesome trails around Mammoth Lakes. It was just me so only needed a 1BR place with a kitchen. This property was ideally located to everything I needed and only a short drive (<15mins) to the trails I wanted to run on. I will definitely be coming back.

Village stay again

We stayed at The Village many times since it opened 20+ years ago. It is now tired and needs a facelift. The unit we stayed in needs to be refreshed. The carpet was worn, blinds didn’t operate and furniture was minimal. The couch was unfortunately the only place to sit and uncomfortable..

Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with. While many complexes in Mammoth such as The Village, Juniper Springs Lodge, and The Westin resemble hotels, they are in fact condo complexes in which every home is individually and privately owned. There are more than a dozen property managers operating the thousands of condos in these three complexes alone. Though there may be a front desk, that is just one of the reservations managers you might book your stay through. Each property owner is free to contract whichever manager they feel best suit their needs. The individual homes are furnished by their owners and refreshed as desired by their owners. This condo is priced appropriately in our market for its size, features and condition (including the furniture). If you are looking for a high end property, we offer those as well, they are priced accordingly. If you have any questions about this, or any condo you are considering, please contact our office for assistance. We have staff available by phone or email, 7 days/week, 9am-6pm (pacific) to ensure you book exactly the property you want.

Good location, not much else

Condo was clean, good location, but very bare bones in decoration/style. Bathroom very dated, couch NOT comfortable, noisy A/C unit in living room. Not happy with policy of extra shampoo/soap/towels means additional charges. Plan on bringing your own! Not good communication about where to store bikes. Bedroom extremely small and not good clothes storage.

This condo is priced appropriately in our market for its size, features and condition (including the furniture). The bathroom and furniture are clearly displayed in photos in our ads, and the unit is exactly what it is advertised to be. If you are looking for a high end property, we offer those as well, they are priced accordingly. The cost of linens and supplies is covered in our fixed cleaning fee. This is disclosed to guests in the pre-booking guest contract that must be signed before completing booking. It is also pointed out to guests in the check-in instructions, pre-arrival and in the blue guest binder located in the unit itself. As explained throughout those various places, units are stocked with clean bed linens on the beds, and a bagged set (under side table or in closet) for the pull out sofa (if equipped). 1 bath towel per person (based on the group/party size reported). 2 hand towels, 2 washcloths, and 1 shower mat (except half baths) per bathroom. 1 travel size each of: beauty bar, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and body wash, & 3-4 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. 2-3 rolls of paper towels, 1 new sponge, 10 dishwasher pods, 2 dish towels, 2 4-cup coffee packets, 2 tissue boxes. 10 laundry pods (if laundry is equipped in-unit). Fire starters, lighter and long matches (if equipped with wood burner). Additional cleaning services and supplies are available for order from our Housekeeping Department. We are an offsite manager, and delivering additional supplies comes with a cost. Our typical guest understands this and usually bring their own shampoo, etc. from home or at the local grocery. The property has a bike storage room which you are able to access. The details of this feature are thoroughly described in the check-in instructions, & our team is available 7 days per week by phone to answer those questions. We can't change the size of the bedroom, which is the same as all the others. If you have any questions about this, or any condo you are considering, please contact our office for assistance. The location was great the unit was overall in good condition. My only concern was that when we went to pull out sofa bed there was dirty socks and trash and crumbs under the cushions which led me to believe that the linen’s had not been changed. We could not get clean linens from hotel as they are not responsible for property and the property management was not on site. There was also no extra blankets and the only one there was was in a ball on the floor in closet. So over all it felt as though the unit had not been cleaned properly prior to turning over to us. Other than that the unit was great!

Location is great! Good for weekend

This condo is walking to rentals, gondolas and restaurants. I stayed 10 days. It has what you need but could use a refresh. Probably not the best for long trips. Furniture is worn kitchen supplies are just okay. Not a single spice or oil in pantry to cook with and chipped dishes, Never got the TV to work but i’m not a TV person. Finding the entrance was a challenge because of all the snow - the management company was not really helpful and kept referring me to the original instructions. Second call with different person was great service. All and all it was clean and good place to rest after a day of skiing. Not a fan of the out of date tablet that contains info. Place has a lot of potential, needs some love. I’d probably scale up if staying long time.

Do NOT use Five Star Lodging in Mammoth...just DON'T

Rude, Rude, Rude. We asked Five Star Lodging if we could reschedule since Mammoth was under a "State of Emergency" due to the "storm of the century" and "excessive snow and wind"; HWY 395 was closed due to flooding...! We were advised by several agencies not to attempt driving to Mammoth or we could be stranded in our car or left without electricity if we did make it through. I get that we didn't buy trip insurance, but seriously? They wouldn't let us reschedule so we lost our money for the entire stay. Meanwhile, the restaurant we had reservations for (Lakefront...fabulous place btw), informed us that they were closing until the following week because they were concerned for their staff. Five Star Lodging could care less about anyone. Avoid booking through them!!!!!

When the roads are closed and guests do not have access into Mammoth Lakes, we offer a credit voucher that can be used for a later date. However, during this guest's stay the roads were open and we had several other guests that were able to make it in to town. The entire town was functioning and accessible during this time period; there was no active "State of Emergency". Per our policy, outlined in our contract with each guest, we cannot issue refunds or vouchers without an extenuating circumstance occurring. We are extremely considerate when it comes to guest safety and accessibility. Thank you for your feedback.

False Advertisement - There is no air conditioning!!

This location advertises that there is AC, but there is not! We stayed there in the summer when the weather was in the high 70’s to low 80’s. When we came back to the room after being gone all day we were never able to cool any of the rooms. On the first night we left the bedroom window open all night, but there still was no relief. This made our stay extremely uncomfortable. Even leaving the window open all night has a major drawback. Since the location is so close to all the restaurants (which normally is a positive) when you have to leave the window open all night you also hear all the noise which can get very loud at times. At 1:30am we were still hearing loud voices and yelling. There is a fan above the bed. Unfortunately there are no instructions on how to turn it on like there are for the kitchen fan. This is frustrating because everything else is so detailed w/ instructions so it’s odd there aren’t any for the bedroom fan. The first night I assumed it didn’t work and so that’s why there were no instructions. But we were so desperate for relief on the second night we tried to use it. The chain to turn the fan on is so short it was difficult to reach. The only way to access the fan is by standing on the bed. I almost fell off the bed trying to reach the chain. Then when the fan is turned on to the highest setting it shakes so much and seems as if it could fall from the ceiling. There is also a very loud ticking sound at this high setting. The lower setting doesn’t have these issues but it was very unsettling since it seemed so unstable at the higher setting. There is a lengthy list of ridiculously high charges for things required to do before you check out. I’d like to know what is the amount that is refunded to guests when something as important as AC isn’t supplied even though it is advertised as part of the accommodations. For the large cleaning fee that is charged I don’t feel I should have to worry about taking the trash with me and being charged a high fee if I don’t. I can see from other reviews that the owner always replies back and somewhat blames the guest for not contacting them. They say “Unfortunately, this guest never contacted our office to give us an opportunity to correct any of these issues...” But good luck if your issues don’t occur within their 9am-6pm time frame. In a reply the owner says “...report problems, and receive assistance 24/7.” There was absolutely no option for assistance 24/7.

Yes there is AC!!!! Each of our Village properties have PORTABLE, ROLLING AC UNITS IN THEM! (Nobody said it was central AC). Additionally we stock a dozen more of them and can bring it to you if needed. We didn’t build the complex or decide what kind of AC should be there. Our units at the village are no different than any other Village property in this respect. *Mammoth Lakes is a mountain town at 9000’ above sea level. Our hottest days in the summer are in the low 80’s. It is very breezy here year round. I am unaware of any property other than commercial spaces that are air conditioned in Mammoth (my house included). Like a beach town, you just need to open a couple windows. We do write detailed instructions for the things people commonly need instructions for (like home theater gear, lighting a fireplace, or using unusual features or amenities). We do not write instructions for turning on simple ceiling fans, bedside lamps, toasters, or other common appliances. Per the review, this person “assumed” there were no instructions because they assumed “the fan didn’t work”. Please don’t blame us for making assumptions. Our staff are available 7 days per week and we answer all calls during business hours. We continue to monitor the phones 24/7 for emergencies after hours. A ceiling fan is not an emergency (and THEY NEVER CALLED ABOUT IT). Had they called, we would have sent one employee with a ladder, a $1.50 pull chain, and some small adhesive weights. In 10 minutes we could have corrected the shaking fan for them (ceiling fans are balanced with small adhesive weights on the top of the blades. They do eventually lose balance and need to be re-balanced. It’s a small job). We could also have explained to them what to look for in an AC unit, or brought them another one. We have an obligation to present the property to you in proper condition for your arrival, and we have to charge everyone the same cleaning fee. To make that work, we need you to return the unit to us in a predictable condition on your departure. Different guests have different ideas about what is appropriate to leave for our housekeeping staff. We explain up front what we expect, and the additional costs we will charge if you don’t do certain things (the labor for those things is not built into our cleaning fee, so having to do them costs more, we pass that along to you.) Again, all up front, no surprises. If you follow our posted check out procedures, you wont have any problems.
