SEMI OCEAN FRONT 5 BEDROOM COTTAGE HAS OCEAN VIEW FROM NEW TOP DECK!

SAILFISH IN AVON is a lovely 5 bedroom beach cottage located on an ocean front cul de sac that is seconds away from beach access. You do not have to cross a street to go over the dunes.! Walk out the front door of Sailfish, go to the street, (S. Beachcomber) turn to your right and go north on S. Beachcomber). Go past the next door neighbor' s house and the wooden walkway to the beach is right after the neighbor s house. Turn right and go over the dunes on the wooden walkway to the lovely beach. We also accept pets. There is a pet fee. Part of our renovation this year is new flooring. NO carpet anywhere except for the stairs.
OUR OTHER RENOVATION includes NEWLY CONSTRUCTED. OUTSIDE STAIRS AND DECKS! We also have all stainless steel kitchen appliances. We have a Keurig coffee pot as well as a Mr. Coffee.
.Avon is a great village with a Food Lion, ice cream shops, gift shops, Studio 12 for pottery painting and terrific restaurants. We also have a new CANDY STORE! Come spread your blanket on our gorgeous beach. You are also within walking distance (3/4 mile on the beach) of the Avon Pier.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SEPTEMBER THRU APRIL IS A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM AND MAY THRU AUGUST IS A 7 NIGHT MINIMUM. PLEASE TEXT US IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION.

Grounds for eviction: Do not go up on the roof of the house. It is literally 3 stories up. It wold result in death if you fall off.
Do not move furniture in the house. All furniture has a specific place. Please keep furniture in the room where you find it placed on arrival.

The house was great and comfortably fit us all. Well equiped kitchen with plenty of seating for lounging and eating. Location was good very close to the beach and shops and restaurants, ice cream a short walk across the street. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The beach was easily accessed, kitchen well stocked with cooking essentials, beds were comfortable, & new deck gave us an ocean view. We were pleasently surprise by the outside shower. A good time was had by all!! Thanks for sharing your house with us.

Great location near beach

Excellent place to stay. Very close to beach and easy to walk into town. New deck was nice and the house had everything that we needed.

Overall, this is a decent but older property that is maintained at an average level. One positive aspect is the convenient beach access through a public walkway, which we appreciated.However, the experience had some notable drawbacks. While the coordination prior to arrival and after check-in was generally fine, the biggest issue occurred when we arrived late at night with our kids and found that there were no basic amenities provided—no linens, towels, kitchen towels or bath tissues.These are typically standard inclusions in Vrbo stays worldwide, so this was both unexpected and inconvenient.When we reached out, we were told to refer to a contract that seems to be shared over the chat instead of an email. This added to the frustration, especially given the timing of our arrival. Although linens and towels were provided the next morning, the initial experience had already impacted our stay.If you are considering booking this property, I would strongly recommend confirming in advance whether essentials like linens, towels, and toiletries are included, so you can avoid a similar situation. Also, check the chats in advance.

Guests were very nice but neglected to read their rental agreement or the VRBO email (0n Vrbo…. This is the only way owners are allowed to connect with guests until all monies are paid) We have never supplied linens as we are not a large rental company with commercial washers and dryers) and time is of the essence when cleaning on checkout days. We feel our lower rental price reflects the the fact that linens are not provided. Please read the Rental agreement and the house info and rules before arrival.

Nice, clean place to stay while at Avon. Very spacious and comfortable.

We are a group of fishermen and have been to obx many times. This house fit the bill in every way. I would happily stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Sailfish was perfect- clean, comfortable, and very close to the beach. We had a great time and absolutely no problems. Would recommend and will stay again.

Great stay at Sailfish!

My family of four adults, two children and two dogs greatly enjoyed our stay at Sailfish. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, and the kitchen had everything you could need for cooking in, if desired. We particularly enjoyed the deck with great views of the ocean, and the proximity to the beach.

Clean, affordable, and ocean view in Avon

Location of this property is steps away from a gorgeous and endless beach. The unit was clean and tidy with clear instructions on what or what not to do. Although we only needed the top floor, there were ample bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs for a small army! We had great weather and spent 7 days outside, but there are plenty of puzzles and books if you are rained in.

Good deal

Close to the beach with a great deck. We had 8 folks staying here and it worked out just great. A little bit tight but the big open kitchen and living room made it.
