Trip to NYC

First time trip for myself, husband and our grown up son. The apartment ticked lots of boxes for us. Gave us a chance to stay away from the hustle and bustle and see NYC from a local’s perspective, but also gave us a bit more room to chill together that we wouldn’t have got from staying in a hotel without forking out huge amounts for a suite. The apartment is a short walk from Central Park and one of the main subway routes that takes you into the central tourist areas, also the route to JFK air train. Shops and bars located at other end of the road too. Downside - the stairs up to the apartment need to be mentioned as if you have any mobility issues then this is not for you. Having said that, at least you can eat as many cannolis as you want as you will burn them off with the “stair master” workout! The building is an older block so expect some of the quirks and faults that come with an ageing property. The owner Dov replied really quickly to any messages I sent so can’t fault the communication at all. All in all a great little place to stay whilst exploring NYC.

Ótima localização.

O apartamento está em uma excelente localização, bem ao lado do Central Park e de uma estação de metro, em uma área residencial bem tranquila. Ideal para um casal ou um casal com criança pequena, mas que não dependa do carrinho de bebê. O apartamento estava bem limpo e a cozinha possuía utensílios novos. O único senão do apartamento é a quantidade de escadas (5 lances), o que dificulta na hora da chegada e da saída, motivo pelo qual não recomendo a estadia para casais com crianças muito pequenas, que dependam do carrinho. O check in e o check out foram muito fáceis, tendo o proprietário passado as informações para ingressar no apartamento.

Great Apartment !!

loved staying here. the owners where very responsive to request. Could not ask for a better location and neighborhood and made many friends. The 320 steps that you have to walk to the unit a day got me in really good shape. Great neighbors. Needs a little TLC, new lightbulbs and furniture. if you have a dog just be aware that its a 5th floor walkup.

Great UWS stay!

We had a great week staying in Dov's UWS apartment. The location is spectacular-- one block off the park in a beautiful neighborhood. Our dog so enjoyed meeting and playing with the other UWS pups. It was also very convenient to hop on the subway and get around the city. The apt is clean and as described, in an older building. Only downside-- the apartment is a 5th floor walk up, so be prepared to get your steps in every day.

Emplacement parfait proche de tout, mais l' appartement est trop vétuste .Cela ne nous à pas beaucoup dérangé car nous y étions peu (seulement pour dormir) . Nous recherchions avant tout un bon emplacement ( rien à redire sur ce point)

Super Location For Value Minded NYC Explorers

Four flights of stairs in a somewhat scruffy but otherwise fine building takes you to a quiet, nice sized 1 BR apartment in a super Upper West Side location just a block from the C Line subway. Good bed, funky furniture but a good 4 person dining table and full fridge deliver the basic VRBO advantage over hotels. Gas range has no fan, so cooking options are limited. Small irritations like no paper towells, broken window shades, an old awkward bathtub and missing light bulbs are offset by a good TV, new shower valve with good pressure and nice towells. In short, a more than adequate spot that saves you the equivalent of four or five dinners out on the town compared to hotels in that area. Manager was responsive to our few requests to address issues. We laughed off the stairs — others might not be in shape for them or find them amusing. Don’t bring a heavy suitcase. Would stay here again.

Great location in Upper West Side

Location, location, location !!! We really loved our stay at Dov's place. It is just 50 meters from central park and with a lot of shops and restaurants very close. 86 West metro station is just at the the corner, so we got fast everywhere. The apartment is on the fourth floor of a historic townhouse, so be prepared to walk some steps. I was clean and had AC which was great during the summer heat in NYC. Dov was super helpful. We forgot our ebook readers and he was so kind to send them home to us. Thanks :-)

Can't beat the location

Make sure you can walk 4 flights of stairs (it's on the 5th floor). The apartment floor is slanted in the kitchen area, and the whole building is a bit crooked, especially the stairs, but felt solid. We stayed in August and the A/C worked great. You might verify with the property owner in advance that all the things you usually expect to find in a rental will be available. The apartment was not fully ready for our arrival. The toilet was dirty. There was a drop of dish soap, only one roll of toilet paper (the 4 of us stayed 9 nights), one dirty dish rag, no paper towels, a coffee maker with no pot, exactly 4 bath towels. There was also just a drop of shampoo left in the bathroom cabinet. We ended up going out to purchase what we needed right away. We alerted the owner via text message who was very responsive, he apologized and offered to send the cleaning person again to clean and bring us what we were missing but we declined, except for the coffee pot which was delivered the next day. The location of this apartment is very good. Very close to the subway, restaurants, grocery stores, laundromat, and to Central Park.

Excellent séjour

Propreté douteuse..., mais la situation est idéale si 4 étages à monter ne font pas peur. Si nous revenons sur NY, nous y séjournerions à nouveau avec plaisir (...mais, nous apporterions nos propres serviettes de toilettes ...) Un aspirateur serait bien utile...

Wonderful month in NYC!

I would highly recommend this apartment as long as you are okay with walking four flights of stairs and in good shape. I actually preferred being on the fifth floor because I felt safer as a family with children staying here. The location could not have been better 1/2 block down from two major subway lines. My family (and dog) loved being across from Central Park. There are tons of restaurants/coffee shops around the corner to explore. The building itself was really quiet and I felt comfortable walking on the streets and taking my dog out late into the evening. The apartment itself was clean and just as described. I actually thought it felt a little bigger than the pictures. My children (9 and 12) slept on the pull-out couch for a month and were very comfortable. Thanks Dov for an awesome experience!

LOVELY STAY IN CENTRAL PARK

Abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana in questo carinissimo appartamento a davvero 3 minuti da Central Park. Dopo aver sperimentato diversi hotel della city, ho optato per un appartamento ed è stata la scelta perfetta. A 3 minuti dalla fermata della metro, quartiere silenziosissimo a tutte le ore del giorno e della notte (e dormire con il jetlag è fondamentale!), abitato e frequentato da persone gentili e a modo. Mr. Bronner è sempre disponibile e risponde sempre a tutte le richieste.La casa è davvero graziosa, perfetta per una coppia, cucina attrezzata. Negozi, Grocery, Sushi tutti sotto casa.Il parco è un posto speciale ed averlo sotto casa è uno spettacolo da ammirare, dalla mattina presto c'è chi va a correre, chi porta i cani a spasso, i bambini delle scuole vicine, davvero unico.Un posto davvero speciale dove trascorrere una vacanza da vero cittadino della Big Apple.Thank you Mr. Bronner!

Fabulous Apt for Exploring NYC

We stayed at Dov’s apartment for a full week, exploring NYC with son and wife on Spring Break. The apartment is perfectly located next to Central Park and subway station, within walking distance to the museum mile. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, the apartment is clean and well equipped. Sure it’s not your luxury home or 5 star hotel but it’s reflected in the price - it’s a steal! Dov has been very responsive and provided precise instructions well in advance. He allowed us to check in early on our day of arrival so that we can spend an entire afternoon at a museum, thanks, Dov, and see you next time!

Loved it!

This was our first time in New York, loved it, loved it!!! The apartment is very clean. Everything we needed was available. Mr. Dov Bonner was always available when reached out to. Have no complaints. We are leaving content and definitely coming back.

Ottima soluzione per un soggiorno a NY. Posizione centrale ben servita

Appartamento in posizione centrale. Ben servito dai mezzi di superficie e metro. Accanto a central park. Ottima soluzione per un soggiorno con piu giorni di vacanza. La zona e' molto tranquilla senza pericoli (anche nelle ore serali), quartiere elegante tipicamente residenziale. L' appartamento si trova al 4 piano (senza ascensore) di una tipica vecchia case di NY, che nonostante la poca praticita' con le valigie, e' ricca di fascino. L'alloggio e' servito di ogni necessita' (non c e' la lavatrice) anche se un po' datato... La nostra vacanza di 2 settimane in questa casa e' stata perfetta, ma alcune cose negative sono da segnalare: L'aria condizionata e' molto rumorosa...si apre 1 sola finestra (con difficolta') in tutto l alloggio...i letti non sono comodissimi, in particolare il divano letto che meriterebbe di essere sostituito. Purtroppo devo segnalare che, come del resto riscontrato in tutta la citta, anche in questo alloggio e nel condominio, il livello di igiene scarseggia. Alloggio consigliato per una vacanza di piu giorni...ci vuole mezzora di metro per arrivare nelle zone tipiche quali Village e Chelsea.

Very good apartment in the perfect location

Our stay for a month was fabulous. The location of the apartment was perfect. Close to Central Park, and two different subway lines. The area has a lot of stores restaurants to chose from. The apartment was great and more then met our needs for the month. We had no issues issues during our stay. Dov communicated with us prior to our stay which made the check in process simple. It does have five flight of stairs which we knew before hand so if climbing stairs is a problem then this might be a problem. We look forward to staying there again soon.

Ottima posizione vicino a Central Park- zona residenziale tranquilla.Appartamento accoglientente

Abbiamo soggiornato in 4 persone per 9 notti, due adulti e due ragazze di 15 e 18 anni. All'arrivo la casa non rispecchiava i nostri standard di pulizia (soprattutto il pavimento e la vasca da bagno ed alcune stoviglie). Lenzuola ed asciugamani puliti, ma macchiati (non è bello da vedersi!). Il livello di manutenzione dell'appartamento (ed anche del condominio) è scarso. Le ragazze hanno dormito sul divano letto ubicato in sala. Dire che è impresentabile è dire poco: rete sfondata e materasso pieno di molle scoperte. Neanche un fachiro riuscirebbe a dormirci senza rovinarsi la schiena. Abbiamo dovuto mettere un paio di piumini a contrasto fra materasso e lenzuola in modo che fosse un po' più morbido. L'unica finestra della camera da letto è inutilizzabile a causa del condizionatore, per il cui montaggio è stata bloccata. Conseguenza: assenza di ricambio di aria nella stanza. Stesso dicasi per le finestre del soggiorno: una bloccata a causa del condizionatore, l'altra "libera" ma di fatto anch'essa inutilizzabile perché la guida è rotta ed il vetro non sta su. Abbiamo messo un contenitore di plastica rigida per poterla tenere aperta di circa 15 centimetri in modo che circolasse un filo d'aria. Entrambi i condizionatori sono rumorosissimi, molto fastidiosi da tenere accesi durante la notte. La cucina è molto ben attrezzata, completa di tutto l'occorrente. Abbiamo cenato diverse volte a casa e la situazione si è rivelata alquanto piacevole. Dov, il proprietario, ha sempre risposto alle nostre e-mails e si è dimostrato molto disponibile ad accogliere la nostra richiesta di poter lasciare il bagaglio in casa dopo il check-out il giorno della nostra partenza. Segnalo, infine, che la fermata della METRO sulla 86°, quella più vicina a casa è attualmente chiusa per ristrutturazione e lo rimarrà fino al prossimo ottobre. Questo non ci era stato segnalato e seppur non abbia rappresentato un problema di fatto ha reso più scomodi gli spostamenti, dovendo raggiungere delle fermate metro più lontane a circa 10/15 minuti di distanza a piedi che di per sé non sarebbe tanto, ma che dopo una giornata passata in giro a camminare per la città….. si sono fatti sentire. Stesso dicasi per i 5 piani a piedi per raggiungere l'appartamento ma questo lo sapevamo e ce lo siamo fatti andar bene. Nel complesso l'appartamento è accogliente e per un soggiorno a NY comodo. Spero che Dov si decida a cambiare il divano letto ……

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral am Central Park und Nähe an der Metro und es ist recht ruhig. Aleerdings ist sie renovierungsbedürftig, besonders das Bad.

Cooles Appartement in bester Lage am Central Park

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Vermieter hat immer schnell auf Fragen geantwortet. Die Übergabe war gut organisiert. Das Apartment war hinreichend ausgestattet und sauber genug. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber wir mögen Altbauten. Zu pingelig darf man nicht sein, damit einem das Appartement gefällt. Bis zum Central Park sind es nur ein paar Schritte, was nach anstrengenden New York Tagen ein wahrer Segen ist. In der Umgebung gab es nette Restaurants (zum. Beispiel das Bella Luna), Lebensmittelläden und U-Bahn Stationen mehrerer Linien. Besonder die Lage und die Umgebung hat uns sehr gefallen.

Great location. Nice and clean!!

Cute, cozy Upper West side apartment near everything! Very comfortable. The 4 flights of stairs get old, so you have to plan your day to do this only once if you can. It’s particularly hard with suitcases. Otherwise, no big conplaints. I’d stay there again!
