With vacation homes, things can occasionally happen—equipment can malfunction, storms can cause unexpected issues, and sometimes circumstances arise that are simply outside anyone's control. What we can control is how we respond. We reviewed the concerns mentioned with our cleaning and maintenance teams. The ice maker was operational during the stay. While the display screen was not functioning properly, the control buttons and ice-making functions continued to work. Our team also found one blown bulb in a bathroom. A damaged dryer duct was identified and replaced immediately. When the alarms were reported during the night, our maintenance supervisor responded to the cabin. The carbon monoxide detectors were beeping because the gas line to the fireplace had been turned on without the pilot being lit. Fireplace gas lines are shut off each April and remain off throughout the summer until they are turned back on in October. We are not sure how they were turned on, but this was the source of the issue. The surround sound system was also checked and found to be working. Our technician confirmed that a personal device had been connected to the system and that the audio was working appropriately. We have shared the comments regarding the floors, dust, pool condition, kitchen faucet, and furnace filters with the appropriate teams for further review.

While we were contacted during the stay, we did not receive notice that the pool was losing water or that its water level had dropped significantly. The temperature and water-level concerns were later traced to a leak, which has since been repaired. Had the water loss been reported while you were there, we would have been happy to investigate and address it during your stay. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding the showerheads and additional lighting near the hot tub. Overall, we’re happy to hear you considered the cabin a great place to stay.

The property's location is available on all booking platforms, but we understand how that detail could be overlooked during the search process. As for the pool, the heater remains on at all times and is set to the same temperature standard as most indoor pools. While personal comfort levels can vary, it is functioning properly and consistently maintained. Its unfortunate to get this review. The guest had no issues with our cabin in any way, none, nada, nil..... until he forgot his personal belongings on the departure day. Our cleaning team had recovered his laptop and they were dropped off to be shipped back to him. The guest didnt like this and became very aggressive. He wanted us to go pick up his items from the shipping company and drive to meet him with his belongings. This review is the result of the guest not taking accountability to care for his own items.
