The Lighthouse is an excellent place to stay. We stayed 7 nights in September 2026. It would be perfect if the back stairs had a handrail to hold onto when going up or down the stairs. We will choose it again, if it is available, on our next visit. Jerry and Jean

This property was lovely. I am very picky. I found it excellent and clean! The owners were exceptional. I will rent it again when I am in Kenosha. If it were my property I would suggest railings on the back porch. We are older and it was a. little dangerous. Other than that a great place!

Stayed in downstairs unit. Was very spacious and very comfortable beds. Could hear creaking of floors from upstairs but other then that for us the location was great to campus and downtown and fit a family nicely. The tvs were smart TVs so that was a bonus. The washer dryer is shared with other tenants and the bbq but was really not a problem. 5 min drive to Carthage and 5 to downtown. Will stay again. Host very responsive.

Beautiful property and convenient location! This unit had everything our family needed for a 3-day stay. The beds were comfy, linens and towels were high-quality, and it was clean and well-kept. We loved the decor and even got some design ideas for our own home. The owner reached out at the beginning of our stay to be sure we didn't need anything or have any questions. We felt very well cared for. I highly recommend this property.

The property was excellent and beautiful inside. It had everything we needed! A few notes, though, the street noise was sometimes very loud (especially with many extremely noisy motorcycles). We also had trouble with the internet on one day in particular.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing to stay with us! We're happy to hear you found the property beautiful and well-equipped for your needs! We appreciate your feedback regarding the street noise and the internet issues—your insights help us improve. While we can’t control the occasional street activity, we’re actively exploring additional ways to minimize its impact on our guests’ comfort. As for the internet, we're sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. If we had known about the internet issue while you were with us, we would have gladly addressed it right away. Grandma and teens

The place was very nice and just as displayed in the photos in the listing. My teenage grandkids spent a couple of nights with me and said the pull out couch was comfortable, which is not always the case. Parking was good and off the front busy street and we felt very secure with the coded door locks. I didn't find the games but didn't contact the owner about it either. Instead, we grabbed a blanket, picked up a pizza and went to the free bike races 5 minutes from the house. As mentioned earlier, the bedding and towels were hotel grade, which is wonderful! The few times I had to contact the owners, they responded very quickly, which is so important. We loved our stay and will book the Kenosha Lighthouse Retreat on our next visit to town! Thanks for making us feel at home.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review, Cindy! We're happy to hear that our Kenosha Lighthouse Retreat met your expectations and that everything—from the photos to the comfort of the pull-out couch—was just right for you and your grandkids. We're especially glad you felt secure and well taken care of with our quick responses and the coded entry. Sorry to hear the games were a bit elusive—they are in the entertainment center under the TV. We'll make sure they're easier to find for you or future guests. That said, your spontaneous night out with pizza and bike races sounds like a perfect way to enjoy the area! We truly appreciate your kind words about the hotel-grade linens and towels, and we're so happy you felt at home during your stay. We’d be honored to host you again on your next visit to Kenosha!
