1. We really do appreciate your honest review, as it helps us "grow" in this endeavor. We are sorry for what happened with your stay. We are new to this and are learning constantly. On your points: a. Sometimes we have tour groups come through (specifically from Thailand) and they like to cook their style of food. We have condiments, various dry foods, and spices that they prefer, and we have no issues if other guests try/use them. They can be a bit "aromatic" as they contain fish sauce and fermented shrimp. Solutions: we will remove any of the "unique" smelling items, and communicate to all guests, that anything still present, is free for consumption. b. The clothes that are in the accessible closets are for guests (again, primarily from Thailand) who like to wear them for photo shoots. Solution: we will remove the clothes taking into consideration your very valid point on the liability aspect. c. On the irrigation (sprinkler) system, or like my husband likes to call it "his irritation system": it was a mistake that we did not notify you ahead of time. My husband had returned from a trip and we were getting multiple faults on the backyard zones (it turns out three of the four zone solenoids went out and they could only be turned on manually). These zones water not only the grass, but the five fruit trees. He was concerned that they would be impacted by the exceptionally dry and hot weather we'd been having. He went there mid-afternoon, hoping to catch someone present, to explain the situation and notify the guests that we quick access to the back (inside one gate) to attempt to rectify the situation, and if he couldn't, he needed to turn on each zone manually for approximately 10 minutes each. He coordinated this face-to-face, so as not to interfere with any plans the guests may have. Solution: use the established method for coordinating this type of contingency. 2. Once again, we are collectively learning the processes, procedures and preferences any guests may have, and hope to achieve this as rapidly as possible.
