Welcome to Charles Stays! I’m Myrick, a proud Kansas City host, husband, father of four, and entrepreneur who genuinely enjoys creating spaces where people can relax, reconnect, and feel at home. Born in Detroit and raised in Kansas City, I’ve always appreciated the importance of community, hospitality, and making people feel welcomed.

I’ve spent years working in customer service, sales, and business, and one thing I’ve learned is that people remember how you make them feel. That mindset is what inspired me to begin hosting. I wanted to create a space that offers more than just a place to stay — a comfortable environment where families, friends, business travelers, sports fans, and visitors can gather, unwind, and enjoy their time together.

What I enjoy most about hosting is helping guests experience Kansas City the right way. Whether guests are visiting for football games, baseball, concerts, tournaments, the World Cup, business trips, or family vacations, I love being able to provide a spacious and comfortable home base close to many of the city’s attractions and entertainment areas.

Charles Stays was designed with groups and families in mind, offering plenty of space to spread out, relax, and have fun together. From multiple large smart TVs and entertainment spaces to thoughtful touches like complimentary snack baskets and bottled water, my goal is to make every stay feel welcoming and memorable.

I also take pride in communication, cleanliness, and making the check-in process as smooth and stress-free as possible. I understand how important a great stay can be when traveling, so I work hard to provide guests with a comfortable experience from the moment they book until the day they check out.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers a quiet, relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for guests looking to unwind after a long day of travel, sports events, or exploring the Kansas City area. The neighborhood is made up mostly of long-time residents and older neighbors who help keep the area peaceful and welcoming. One thing we really love is the added sense of privacy, with no homes directly across from the property.

At the same time, guests are still just a short drive from many of Kansas City’s top attractions, restaurants, shopping, stadiums, and entertainment areas — giving you the best of both worlds: convenience and comfort.

What makes our property unique is the combination of comfort, entertainment, and thoughtful touches designed to make guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. Unlike many standard stays, our home is set up with large groups and families in mind, offering spacious living areas, multiple big-screen TVs, a pool table, workout space, full kitchen, and comfortable sleeping arrangements for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves together.

We also focus heavily on the guest experience by providing complimentary snack baskets and bottled water upon arrival, creating a warm and welcoming touch that guests truly appreciate. The property is located in a quiet area while still being just a short drive from major Kansas City attractions, stadiums, shopping, restaurants, and upcoming World Cup events.
