Beautiful Wranglers Roost Original Stage Coach Stop

This beautiful five bedroom, five bath home is located in the historic Wranglers Roost, (listed on the national register of historic places). Wranglers Roost was a stage coach stop in the late 1800’s and then built as a resort in 1930. We have preserved much of the history and you can enjoy the same atmosphere that early travelers saw when they arrived on the stagecoach. The home has been renovated while still keeping the old time Western flavor of the original property.

The beautiful large pool and inviting 10 person hot tub is in a relaxing setting and provides an exceptional view from which to experience Arizona's
stunning sunsets. The location feels far from city lights as the Gavilan Peak mountain blocks out the lights of the city. The property includes 2 built in BBQ pits.

Conveniently located approximately 40 minutes north of Phoenix's Sky Harbor International airport at exit #232 on Highway 17. New River is located away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix, yet an easy drive to Carefree, Cave Creek, Scottsdale and Sedona, or a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Wake boarding and water skiing are possible within 20 minutes at Lake Pleasant and downhill skiing and snowboarding are only 2 hours away in Flagstaff. There is great shopping at the Outlet Mall at Anthem (about a ten minute drive). The famous Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon is a unique dining place within minutes of the property, just 10 minutes away, there is a Walmart Supercenter that is open 24 hours. In Anthem, just a few minutes away, along with several great places to eat. Children will love the numerous parks and play areas, including the train, skate board park in Anthem. You can golf at more than 25 golf courses that are within 40 minutes of this property.

The home is completely furnished, two double beds in the first bedroom, a king sized bed in the second, two queen beds in the third, a king bed in the fourth and two twin sized beds in the fifth bedroom. Come spend some time at Wranglers Roost!

Unique ranch

We had a great family trip and Wranglers Ranch was a perfect location. Fully stocked for a large group and plenty of space. Very unique which we appreciated.

Great spot

Wrangler's Roost was a wonderful place to stay in New River. We were a group of guys on a golf trip and the place was perfect with it's two well-stocked kitchens, outdoor washrooms and lots of space. It can be summed up as "character". Lots of hokey stuff around the grounds and it's seen it's day, but it was very clean and well taken care of. The host, Heidi, was also very responsive and a pleasure.

We absolutely love this property! Heidi and Reid are excellent communicators, and always on top of anything we may need. We have now stayed two years in a row, and will be back in 2024!

Quirky, secluded, fantastic oasis

Perfect home for our family-friends trip. Highly recommend. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable, fun stay! And the outside is gorgeous!

Great getaway with room to roam

So clean and unique-- a fun adventure for families of two brothers with kids to enjoy together. Lots of space to roam and enjoy, very private. Setup of house is funky and unique, but may be uncomfortable if guests don't know each other well (you have to walk through bedrooms and bathrooms to get to other bedrooms and bathrooms). Great communication from the hosts.

Amazing Family Vacation

Amazing! Pictures don’t do this property justice. Heidi was very communicative and worked hard for us to check in early our first day. There was plenty of space for our family to spend time together yet have our own separate space for a good nights sleep. We had sooo much fun playing volleyball and spent hrs in the hot tub and hrs playing in the game room. The layout is very unique and the rockhouse is decorated perfectly with so much detail. I highly recommend staying here!

We rented this home for a little new year get away. With CoVID -19 we haven't really been able to do much, we wanted to take a little vacation but still be as safe as possible. This place was exactly what we wanted. It was so relaxing and we enjoyed every minute there. It was hard to leave

Amazing Place with Fantastic Hosts!

We had an amazing time at Wrangler's Roost and would love to visit again in the future. I highly recommend this place for a long weekend with family and friends. Great pool and amenities, very clean Kitchen, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. Heidi and Reid were super accommodating and kind hosts and we had everything we could’ve possibly needed. Thank you for everything!

Awesome location and even better Host's

We had our wedding there and the location was great. We were able to have out of town and family and friends stay with us and celebrate all weekend. We rented all three houses. The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with.

Best stay/wedding venue

We picked Wranglers Roost for a 4 night wedding weekend with family. We had about 22 people combined stay at the Ranch & the Resort. The accomodations for us seemed endless. We had family from out of town stay that needed high chairs and cribs and Heidi made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchens were stocked with things we forgot to get and what ever we had extra of, we were able to leave for the next guests. Heidi and her husband were so helpful and communicated thoroughly. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The scenic views around the property we're the best. There were so many great options on staging a wedding, it was hard to decide which house would look and feel best. It felt as if we had the lay of the land to go about creating our special day! Heidi and Reid answered all of our questions and addressed any concerns. They went above and beyond making sure we had a great stay. Probably the best place I've ever stayed. Thank you!

Fun and charming desert venue

We used this house, along with the other two on the property, to host our wedding weekend. Each house has its own feel, and every guest loved the desert feel and charm of the place. This one is really old, cool and quirky, with all the rooms joining together in a line, and all opening onto the cute front porch with rocking chairs! I dreamed of drinking coffee out there each morning! The rooms were comfortable, and the kitchens had plenty of room to cook for everyone and hold our food. Fireplaces in some of the rooms were awesome. We planned to hold the wedding festivities at this house, but when it looked like rain the day before we moved the party down to the Ranch house where there is a covered patio. Everyone who stayed called the weekend magical. We had a few questions along the way and a tiny bathroom issue, and Heidi was quick to respond and make sure everything was ok. My cousin told me she came down to check during the reception but didn't want to intrude so sent him over to check with us. So kind :) I truly can't wait to find another event to host and rent this house again! Thanks!!

Sunshine in February

My family had a great time at wranglers Roost! We loved cooking in the giant kitchen, and the kids couldn’t get over the saddle chairs! My boy loves horses and we had a great time playing watching the horses on the property. We loved the hot tub, and the warmer weather was a great reprieve from cold Colorado. The house is very unique and feels full of history. Will be back!

Wonderful Vacation With Family

This was a unique, fun, comfortable place for a family vacation. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us. We had a marvelous time sitting in the hot tub, playing pool and air-hockey, cooking in the well appointed kitchen, watching movies in the theater room, etc. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. We loved the decor which had a modern feel yet preserved the Stagecoach history. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore the beauty of Arizona by hiking some of the numerous near by trails. Our host Heidi was helpful in every way, responding quickly to all of our questions. Another unexpected discovery was the Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon a mile or so down the road. They featured great food, live music, and ...bull riding. Fun!! Very pleased!! I would stay here again - for sure...

Easygoing, historical charm with a lot of fun!

We absolutely loved our stay! There were lots of choices of beds, a perfect fit for our multiple families. We loved swimming in the pool and the hot tub. The owners had great communication with us and made our stay very comfortable. I could see using this place for very elegant weddings and fun family parties of all kinds! We will definitely come again. Great stay!!

This House Has Everything

We taught a photography workshop at Wranglers Roost and it was the perfect location. Heidi and Reid were super accommodating. At the end of our stay Heidi asked us if there was anything that she could have added to make the stay better, and I honestly couldn't think of one. It was packed with everything you need. If you're looking for somewhere to stay or hosting a small conference this is the perfect place!

Great Stay!

I have rented many homes in many different places and have had many positive experiences, but our stay at Wranglers Roost has to be one of the best! We enjoyed every night watching the sunset and relaxing after full days of hiking and exploring. The home is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The western touches made us feel like we were back in the "Old West" but with the luxuries of the modern day. Beds were super comfortable. House very clean. The yard and pool are amazing. Just 2 miles off the freeway made it so easy to get around. Heidi was always super quick to respond to questions during the booking process, before our arrival and during our stay. The checkout list of things was short and super reasonable. If we ever have occasion to visit this area again we will definitely book with Heidi!

Amazing and relaxing!

Beautiful and so much space! Kitchen was amazing and so much on site! You literally food serve 50 people and more than enough dishware! Owners were close by and easy to reach if needed but not in our way at all! What a wonderful rustic home! So much for the kids to do! We will be back!
