We had an absolutely incredible stay and cannot recommend this property enough truly a 5/5 experience from start to finish.From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention goes into maintaining this home. The house was spotless, beautifully kept, and even more impressive in person than in the listing. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, making it both comfortable and inviting. It really felt like a home away from home.What stood out just as much as the property itself was the host. They were extremely responsive, kind, and accommodating throughout our entire stay. Communication was smooth and quick, which made everything so easy and stress free.Our situation could have been a nightmare another host canceled on us last minute but thankfully, this host stepped in and was able to accommodate us right away. That level of flexibility and willingness to help truly made all the difference for our trip, and we are so grateful.Overall, this was one of the best experiences we’ve had, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and book this place you won’t regret it!

Spacious accommodations for a large group

This was a good place to stay for our group. There was plenty of room and had all the amenities from a fully stocked kitchen to bathroom essentials. We particularly enjoyed the spacious kitchen, living room and theater room. The kids enjoyed the pool table and hockey table downstairs. The owner was very responsive with any questions we had. We did have an issue with the internet but she attempted to resolve the problem immediately. Overall, this place is definitely a good place for a large group. Seems like they were still under construction and lots of equipment and stuff around the perimeter of the house and probably not the safest for little kids but we looked past that since the accommodations were good and it also had a nice big concrete pad in front that we could gather in.

Overall a good location and a good space, very affordable, but needs a lot of maintenance.Pros:* Good location. Quiet, close enough to Calhan to make grocery runs. Short drive to the fairgrounds and Paint Mines park.* Spacious interior, open floor plan with a kitchen big enough for a large group* Furniture, decor, and appliances all seemed relatively new and in good condition* Bedding/towels seemed clean overall, with plenty provided for the group* Both indoor and outdoor kid’s toys were available and nice to have* Wifi and electrical worked without issue. TVs worked fine, we were able to stream movies* Grill and patio furniture available on enclosed deck, as well as outdoor string lighting* Plenty of parking in gravel drivewayDespite us and our guests having been uncomfortable about the cons listed below, we exercised extreme caution watching our children and in storing our belongings and concluded it to have been a good stay overall.Cons:* Mice: Upon arrival, we found mouse droppings in multiple rooms, and on top of some upholstered furniture. We immediately mentioned this to the host, who responded promptly to our message but only replied that there was a vacuum availableMost bedrooms had some sort of pest deterrent device plugged into the wall, but in one basement bedroom it appeared to be broken, and a mouse was seen in the room on the first night. Mouse droppings were later seen in the basement bathroom sink, and a dead mouse was found inside the sink dra

Needs to be cleaned, construction finished, wifi and electric wiring fixed, heat and AC!, cameras!

I was asked to check in late...Concrete pad for parking has rebar sticking out. Not clean, bedding missing, dirty, dangerous, LOTS of rat poison out, bad wiring and wifi, no AC, 3 space heaters are the heat, dishes and pots dirty, parts missing/broken on refrigerator and microwave. Nails sticking out on flooring and also on ledge in second kitchen. Mold on ceiling in several spots. Wifi barely works-MANY oustside cameras draw down any wifi there is so tv's don't work and can't get on computer to work. Baseboards and wall fixtures are missing. Exposed electric wires in ceiling/wall panels. Wiring on outside is PAINTED OVER, not sealed to hide-Electric hazard. Cleaner not cleaned out of oven, dirty pans in oven. Standing slime in dishwasher. Bag with yellow liquid on a shower head with shower heand not in the liquid and just left there. Dirt and chunks on all the floors. Lots of dog hairs in all bedding although they are made up to look as if clean-not just a litlle hair-a bunch-as if a dog has been sleeping under the covers of many of the beds. Dog bowls and chain yet no dogs allowed. Media room under construction. TV's not hooked up. Very dirty upper living room. Lower LR minimal! Cold! Lower kitchen unfinished, nails sticking out, broken mirowave,large hole in the window to oustide.Parts in raw master bath closet-unfinished decks and stairs. Wahing machine sort of works. There are towels. Way overpriced and location bad for COS. Want to post more pics!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I apologize if the fireplace and space heaters were not enough to keep you warm. Our home did go through an extensive renovation and our focus point was to how to make families feel comfortable, with enough space, and enjoy the the family reunion ultimately. This is the first time we get a full home inspection inside and out of the space we call home. We are in the country and mice is common so my apologies for having exposed mice traps. Communication was great through the whole stay. We had walmart deliver a few items to make the stay more comfortable, as well as i appreciate an internet tech was able to pay a visit to help with the speed of the internet. I wished you would of taken our offer to resend house keepers to do another sweep. Im sorry if you were dealing with new TVs and had to register to some of the apps as a new user. I deeply apologize if they missed a few of the items aforementioned. We take pride in our hospitality and as our reputation shows, its all about how soon we react to missed items, or technical issues that makes us great hosts. As stated in our listing, we do have exterior cameras that lookout our property entry, barn for obvious reasons. There is no doubt you went out of your way to do a full home inspection and I question why you didnt ask for a refund right away or asked the platform to relocate you since my home is clearly a death trap. above all Im sure you enjoyed full your stay.

I want to begin by emphasizing the rental, overall, was very good. It is roomy, comfy & clean. The owner communicates well & promptly. We had a good time. However there are several things that need to be addressed to make the property a 5-star. 1) The listing says there is A/C, but there is only a window unit in one room. It was uncomfortably warm the whole time, including at night. We had to sleep with the ceiling fans on and windows open; unfortunately some rooms had screens with holes which allowed bugs in. 2) The listing also says there is a dish washer. Yes, there is one, but there is a label on it that says it doesn't work. The label appears to have been there for some time, but the listing still says it's there. 3) Both mornings when we woke up, we found mouse droppings on kitchen counters and the stove. The property is in the country, so there is a reason, but it's still disgusting. 4) The listing mentions pool and foosball tables. There were no balls for foosball, and only one functioning pool cue. 5) There is a large concrete patio with riding toys for kids. The kids loved it, but around the edges there are bolts sticking out of the conrete every few feet, which, if someone fell on them, could cause some serious injuries. I repeat, overall it was a good experience, but these issues made the experience good rather than great. It would be nice if the owner would spend a little money and take care of some of these issues.
