The home was formerly known as Homestead Modern No. 1. and rebranded to Steel & Solace. Recognized by Dwell as one of the Top 10 Vacation Rentals in the World, Steel & Solace is an iconic glass and steel home that epitomizes desert modernism.
Per Dwell: “Old school meets contemporary in this modern homestead. Small in footprint but large in innovation, the steel-framed structures with clean, modern lines display sleek, industrial modernism, blending style and practicality. The mixture of rust-covered, welded metal and concrete creates a beautiful, modern oasis in the middle of the desert sands.”
Guest Access:
You will have full access to the property and the private backyard during your stay.

No unauthorized early check-ins or late check-outs unless approved.
Check-In: 4:00 PM
Check-Out: 11:00 AM
NO SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Please use designated outdoor areas.
PETS
Pets are allowed on request; additional charges may apply. Please confirm pet details before booking. $100 per pet.
- We are unable to accommodate cats due to the owner's severe allergy. Appreciate your understanding!
OCCUPANCY LIMIT
Maximum of 4 guests (including children). Please ensure the guest count matches the reservation.
QUIET HOURS
Please respect quiet hours between 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM to ensure a peaceful stay for all guests. Keep noise levels to a minimum, especially outside, to respect neighbors.
PARTY/EVENTS
Parties, events, or gatherings are not permitted. This includes hen, stag, or similar parties.
DAMAGES/LOSS
Guests are responsible for any damage to the property. Please notify us immediately of any issues or damages during your stay.
CLEANLINESS
Please leave the property as you found it. Dispose of trash properly and use the provided cleaning supplies for any minor spills.
POOL HOT TUB/HOT TUB USE
Please follow all safety guidelines and usage instructions for the hot tub. Do not leave children unattended. No Pool Heating Available. Hot Tub is always heated.
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.
PARKING
Free private parking is available. Please park in designated areas only.
Any of this violation will incur up to $1,000 - $5,000 penalty fee
◦ Authorized early check-in and late check-out are available at $50 per hour
◦ Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address
* Additionally, any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee

◦ Pet Fee $100 per pet

Please note that while the property sits on 2.5 acres of private land, neighboring parcels are independently owned. From time to time, you may see activity or visitors on nearby land, which is outside of our control. These areas are not part of our property and do not impact your stay or access to amenities.
We aim to provide a peaceful and comfortable experience for all guests, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the natural surroundings and neighboring land use.
