Great space and a wonderful location

We rented this house to celebrate my Grand daughterā€™s birthday on the beach. It was a perfect spot with a short walk to the sand and water. The house was very well stocked and very comfortable for our group of 13. Not to mention the beautiful views it has to offer!

Amazing beach front, vintage house!

We LOVED staying at this property, the house is so cool and vintage. The location is perfect, beachfront with excellent access. This house sleeps many people, and tons of extra bedding, and mattresses.

Our stay is amazing, our family had a great time. The kids had so much fun at the beach the whole time. We just had some issues with big mosquito bites.

Responsive and Accommodating

We love the space and how open the living room was. Such a beautiful view of the beach. The owner was very responsive to us. We even accidentally took the keys to the probably back home, and she was gracious with us as we mailed it back to her.

Loved our Family Reunion at the Beach!

The property was perfect for our first family vacation getaway. We had 8 adults and 7 children from ages 1 to 17 years old. Everyone especially loved the open concept kitchen and common living space. We had enough room for privacy and for family group time. The beachside windows and large deck were perfect for enjoying the beach views and of course the beach itself was perfect! We will definitely be back!

Great location!!! Very cool house!

The house is right off Bluewater close to convenience stores. Private walk-over. Cute decore. Very firm beds. Lots of sitting spaces/sofa groupings. Great washer/dryer and extra frig. Extra fans and blankets. Great TVs and streaming services for the quiet times not on the water. Water hose on balcony and on ground level. Charcoal grill was great. Overall this is a very nice home and my family enjoyed it! Thank you for a great home!! (Bring more paper good and bring all needed spices/coffee etc.)

Beach Bliss with a Minor Quirk!

We recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at this beach house and had a truly memorable vacation! From the moment we arrived, the check-in and check-out process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. The house boasts absolutely breathtaking views of the beach ā€“ waking up to that panorama every morning was simply divine! And the easy access to the sand and surf was a huge plus, making beach days a breeze.The property manager deserves special mention. They were incredibly prompt and responsive to any questions we had, which really added to the overall positive experience. We had a wonderful time, and the house itself provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.The only slight drawback, and it's a minor one, is the foot traffic under the house. Guests from the houses across the street regularly use the walkway that passes directly underneath the property to access the beach. This means that if you have any beach gear, bikes, or other belongings stored in the downstairs area, they are potentially visible to passersby. It's not a huge issue, but something to be aware of.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this beach house again. The stunning views, easy beach access, and responsive property manager far outweigh the minor inconvenience of the walkway. We're already dreaming of our next trip back!

Not so nice

The house was perfectly adequate. It is old and needs attention. But the sheets were clean and the showers and toilets were clean. The house looks clean at first sight, but pull out the sofa bed and youā€™ll find trash and dead bugs on the floor. The pots and pans are nasty and unusable. The drawers for utensils are beyond nasty. AND IF YOU HAVE TODDLERS, remove the BUTCHER KNIVES from the bottom pull out drawer next to the dishwasher. TVs donā€™t work, remotes have no batteries, and thereā€™s not a side table one on the outdoor patio. Youā€™ll have to sit your phone and drink on the floor. But you wonā€™t spend much time out there anyway because the cushions are paper thin and molded and the view is looking through cut out holes in the wall. Pay attention to that in the pictures. It looks nice but it obstructs your view of the beach. But the worst part is the insulting message youā€™ll get from the property manager the day before arrival. There is extra fees for: excess sand on floors, dirty fridge and microwave (which were dirty to start with), and a staging fee if you move anything. She suggests you take pics upon arrival so you can put it all back. You cannot use any of the closets or dresser drawers. Theyā€™re all full of mattresses (that fall on you when you open the closet door) and crap. Thereā€™s a ladder up against the wall. Brooms are easy to find: theyā€™re leaning on the corner by the front door! I would look elsewhere.

Great at first, horrible ending.

We booked this house Fri-Sun for a small intimate wedding, only family was in attendance. We messaged the host prior to booking our rental and stated that the property was going to be used for a wedding. Everything went through, we booked the home, we even paid them an extra $100 to bring our dog. The day of checking in they let us know the property was under maintenance (should not have been rented out for a wedding), but they stated the equipment was put away and everything was fine for use. When we arrived the home was not fully cleaned. There was debris on the floor, the toilet water was yellow, there was construction equipment out amongst other things. We decided not to let it bring us down since the next day would be our special day. The day of the wedding we tried to use the oven and when pulling the handle to open it, it literally fell out of the cabinet. We messaged the owner to let them know something had to be wrong prior, but they stated everything was fine with it previously. It had nothing holding it into the cabinet in order for it to stay up, it had just been placed inside it, but we just left it at that. A few days after renting the property we were told that we would be charged $400 for having an event without giving the owner prior knowledge. As I stated in the beginning our first message of correspondence was to let them know it was for a wedding. When speaking with the property owner they stated that we set up tables the day before the event (we had tables and chairs delivered Friday to be ready to set up Saturday, we rented the property starting Friday), that we rented the house next door (we did not know the people next door they helped out with setting up just to be nice), and that we did not pay the event fee. We ended up not having to pay the $400 because we had enough evidence but renters beware!

Family Reunion

This property is great for a large group. There is plenty of room to spread out or space to convene the entire group. A really nice spot for a reunion/meeting/wedding or weekend getaway. Well worth the money!

Wide open spaces

This was our yearly family beach vacation! Had a great time. The house is very open with plenty of room to spread out but be together. TV on end of the wall perfect for kids to watch movies. While grownups watched ballgames during heat of the day . Warning about cross over walk way in the morning itā€™s great you can go barefoot to beach but at noon when you head back will burn your feet , several ended up with blisters. TAKE YOUR SHOES ! Other than that great place! Right on the beach . We will come back . Thanks SJ

locals at Surfside recommended we buy bottled water to drink & for ice. July, 2021 report found fecal matter in beach water and said it was unsafe to swim in.

Family beach bash

Great property, we hosted our family reunion here. We had easy, fast beach access. Close public parking for additional vehicles although the property easily fit eight vehicles. Great open floor plan and plenty of seating inside for relaxing and gathering. Large beautiful deck, couldn't ask for anything more.

Public beach

We have been renting beach houses for years. This was definitely one of the best we ever stayed in. Very modern with a great layout. However, it was the worst location. While it does have direct access to the beach, the listing didnā€™t mention that it is a public beach! It is packed and has a never ending caravan of vehicles driving by literally all day long , so if you have small children it is very unsafe and stressful. Not to mention police sirens and drunken fights at night.
